Wow, wow, WOW. This episode has been the most intense and tension-filled episode so far! That moment between Rick and Shane at the end (after a whole episode of Shane spiraling into darkness) was so unexpected! 😱 What Rick did... 🤯 This show is something else.

I also feel that Lori’s talk with Shane sent him over the edge he had been precariously balancing on since Ricks return, 😏
Shane freeing and then killing Randall was definitely so he could lie and say he got away, so he could lure Rick out alone to kill him, boy that walk through the woods and Rick just waiting for when Shane would make his move was a bit nerve wracking, 👍😏
Jon Bernthal did and incredible job with Shane’s character, RIP Shane
I just wish it had not been Rick, no matter what had happened between them, Rick carried the hope that he would get his friend back, right up till the end, so sad Carl had to put him down, 😞

Hi moward, Blanky here. Yeah, we are both sad that Shane didn't got a chance to redeem himself, but he was to deep in his dark place and after killing that kid, there was no turning back. And to see Rick has to do that was really hard on him, we really see now how Rick feels in season 3. Thanks for the support. 🥰

If you pay attention to his verbiage in that scene Shane clearly just wanted to die at this point and baited Rick into killing him Jon Bernthal even wanted a reveal that Shane’s gun was empty the whole time.
I see it as he wanted to kill him and didn’t wanna kill him that’s why he told him to raise his gun so he had a excuse to shoot Rick but he was definitely battling if he wanted to kill Rick or not and it definitely looked like he gave in and didn’t wanna kill him anymore after Rick gave him the gun

Shane is one of my Favorite characters! 11 seasons and many spin-offs later and every time I rewatch the first two seasons Shane’s decisions I almost always agree with. He was right about pretty much everything.
I also think that Shane was thinking about killing Rick but when it came down to it he couldn’t kill his Best Friend.
I’m glad that Shane has influenced Rick into who he becomes later on in the series. Because without Shane I don’t think Rick would have survived long with the decisions he was making early on.

Shane never intended to kill rick. Shane wanted rick to show that he had what it takes to protect his family. Even if that meant his brother killing him. He wanted that, he was never gunna shoot rick

I've already said this once here in the comments section and I'll say it again. People can't blame Lori for Shane's bad attitudes, in the same way that Rick talked to Shane in 2x10, Lori also talked to him in this episode. They tried their best, but Shane didn't want to change.
Instead of blaming shane look at his pov, rick was forcibly using hershels farm not leaving like shane wanted while also keeping a prisoner who had backup, gatekept Shane and loris baby, then told him to suck it up, lori did this x2, now is shane not finding something else to cling on his fault, I guess but thats like blaming a suicidal person, shanes character arc was lonliness but alot of people miss that

Still to this day both Dale’s death and Shane’s death were the first character deaths to hit me hard Dale being the voice of reason and the moral compass in the group and all about having humanity is what’s right for us as human beings one of my favourites and Shane Rick’s best friend and right hand man until Daryl stepped up when he had to put down Dale Shane was another one of my favourites yeah I understand why Shane had to die was never suppose to happen but he had to I can tell that deep down Rick didn’t wanna kill his best friend but he had to Shane lost his mind there was no way out of that I just wish that they coulda worked things out and made up but sadly Rick killing Shane had to happen I’m sure this is gonna have a big impact on the group especially Rick because deep down he cared for him to this day I still miss Dale and Shane.

Lori just had to talk to Shane she just couldn’t leave him alone he was finally letting go of her and she came and pushed him to his death it’s was particularly her fault he snapped and went to kill Rick
It's not Lori's fault that Shane is a psychopath. In the same way that Rick and Carl went to talk to Shane, Lori also talked to him.
Shane is crazy atp but Lori kept giving him hope
She indirectly sent rick to kill shane, then tried to consult shane when it was too late

Little Comic Comparison here Carl shooting Shane zombified was a similarity to the comic because in the comics Shane was already dead by this point in the comics Shane is killed pretty quickly just before they left the Atlanta camp Shane tries to kill Rick but then Carl shoots Shane dead alive saving Rick it’s great that TV Shane outlived his comic counterpart but it’s sad that we lost a great character I thought Jon Bernthal did a great job playing the role as Shane the actor went on to do different things I followed the actor after he was killed off here he went on to be in great movies and I loved him as Frank Castle/The Punisher in Marvel’s Netflix shows Daredevil Season 2 and The Punisher He mighta been an asshole at the end but deep down he’s still a human being that cared about Rick and the group i still miss Shane.
I thought Rick went back and dug Shane up to put him down after finding out some information I don't wanna say here because of a spoiler they might not know yet
