Shane acted for what was best for Shane and what Shane wanted. He didn't give a damn about the group other than what they could do for him, Lori and Carl. Rick lives for the group.
EXACTLY. What happened to Rick in the bar in the Nebraska episode, most resembles this situation. He was provoked (gave them a chance) and then executed the ones he felt were a problem. Shane would have killed everyone from the break including Axel and Oscar.

He knew that guy would come after him, poison the group and try to take over, the same way that Shane did - if Rick was willing to kill his best friend over that, imagine what he'd do to a stranger. Ironically, this is almost the same thing that Shane said to threaten Dale, but because it's Shane, he never followed through.

Like he said in the bar, even if we don’t believe it, we live for the people who look to us. Honestly, the subtle ways TWD connects everything is insane. Like Shane representing that Rick WILL have to kill some people, and that he can’t save everyone, BUT that he should still give people chances. And you see that in Rick throughout the first few seasons, he’ll always give people an out and an opportunity, whether it’s the prisoners, Shane, Randall, but he’s also willing to kill you if he needs to in order to protect the group.

Technically you don't have to immediately kill someone as soon as they get bit or scratched. You don't turn into a walker until you actually die. So once a person's heart stops then you can stab them in the head before they come back as a zombie so homeboy was wrong for bashing in tiny's head like that. He was ruthless

Jim got bit but it was HOURS until he was too unwell to keep working. Big Tiny could've still helped them and then made the decision to kill himself or let someone else do it.

I don't think Rick is pissed about her sleeping with Shane. I mean, on the farm they talked about it and he said, "you thought I was dead." He was angry but I think at that point he was trying to let it go. I think he's pissed at her because she was so angry with him for killing Shane when it was basically self-defense. And she was also angry that Carl had to put Shane down but there was no other choice at that moment (I could be wrong, it's been a while since I've seen that episode, but I think Rick was weaponless at that point and walker Shane was heading towards him) and she didn't get that.

Cried from this show more than I’d like to admit. When Hershel died, i freaked out the most. I absolutely could not handle it. I was pretty young too so I think that made it worse, I started bawling my eyes out, half yelling at the same time about how messed up it was and why did it have to be Hershel. It just broke my heart.
The way ya'll flew out the room had me hollering lmaooooooooooo and see how my baby daddy Rick don't play, machete Rick is bae. The Shane thing is bullshit, Morgan & Daryl has also been out there since the apocalypse started and they never plot to kill anyone that crossed their path. Shit, Rick would have been dead on sight if Morgan was in Shane's state of mind. Shane was a killer just because it was the easy way out and Rick kills when he's threatened. They couldn't be any more different.

Rick got over Lori and Shane doing it, they both thought he was dead. What Rick couldn't get past was her getting mad for him killing Shane after Shane tried to kill him!!

Two things:
1. Season 3 is my favourite season.
2. I miss RobCity.
I feel like Rick has one of those 'Threat Level' meters in his head ( like a robot or Project Nemesis from Resident Evil 2), that goes up and down. So he saved that kid because the threat level was low, but had to change the plan cause the threat meter went up slightly. But it didn't go high enough to kill him. With the Laurie and Shane situation, the warning Laurie gave to Rick, increased Shane as a threat so when they were out in that field Rick felt like he had no choice. But when he tells Laurie and she reacts like he was a monster, it's as if he misjudged the threat and betrayed his moral code because of her. It adds another layer of betrayal in their relationship, one that's harder for him to forgive. Because if he did, would he be open to making the same mistake again?

Seriously?? Rick is nowhere near being the same as Shane.
Even though Rick wants to kill someone or he knows that person has to die, he still gives them a chance to show if they're really bad people or not before he kills them. Like he did at the bar with those two guys. he waited for one to make the first move. If it was Shane he would have straight up killed them. Thank God Shane isn't the one that's gonna meet the guy with the bat later on. We would have led to the entire team being killed because he doesn't think before he acts.
it becomes Somewhat of an important Point later in the show but it's not a spoiler because it's common sense.
the strength and Agility of Walkers depends on how long they've been dead and how far rigor mortis and muscular Decay has set in.
Obviously freshly killed ripped Walkers are going to move faster and if stronger bites then soggy slow swamp walkers, and early installment weirdness dictates that they didn't have all of the universe concrete down until well into the third season.

I still don't think you guys understand the difference between Rick & Shane. In this episode if Shane was in Ricks Place, he wouldn't have just killed pony tail guy, but all of the Prisoners and just taken all their food. Cause for Shane it was all about himself, and if it gotten down to him Karl, and Lori, Shane would have chosen himself. Rick is Choosing who to kill here, and he even gave them a chance, Pony Tail guy was clearly a bad dude along with his follower. Everyone he killed so far is a threat to the group. Everyone Shane killed wasn't a threat to the group. You can argue Randel, but everyone points out how he would have died anyway, if they left him out their.

@@enicole1203 doesnt need to be low at all, especially not THIS low, its virtually unwatchable as to hear it they are deafening. I watch over a dozen reaction channels and while a cple have low volume none have it this low and most dont have it low at all. its not about size of channel either as one, blindwave is bigger than rt tv and has no problems with low volume.
