From that time, I realized that, whether as a country or as individuals, the key is to focus on our own development. The truth will always speak for itself ;)

I just spent two months in Chengdu. It has more cars registered than any other city in China. The 25+ million people and unbelievable number of vehicles was more than enough for me. I think I'll admire mega-cites through my screen from here on out.

China was once a poor, war-torn, starving country in the past. But fast forward till today and China has transformed into the world's largest economy (or largest if measured by GDP PPP), the world's factory (Made-in-China), having the world's 2nd largest R&D spending, protected by the world's largest army, the _People's Liberation Army._ And it's all been achieved under the leadership of the Chinese government.
Most people in the West know little about CQ, even though it's so big and amazing. So this video is very informative and useful for anyone who wants to know more about this city.

The more of your videos, the more I think about how nice it would be to live a place that has city life and enough nice parks and clean walking areas to get out and do some walking/thinking. As a westerner life in the west has become overpowering. Internal divisions, crime, graffiti, home invasions, pathetic politicians, poor public transport, rude angry people etc etc. Just had my first ever visit to China, loved it, felt safe, futuristic, friendly and most of all it was an escape from the madness of the west.
In fact you can fly to Chongqing and take high speed train to Wusban and Feng Jie. 2 hours only, very convenient and scenery is awesome! Chinese RMB note picture is from there. It is cool, so take extra clothes.

The western countries built their businesses on two opposing factors. Price or Quality. If the consumer chose quality they pay for it. If the buyer wants a low price he gets lower quality. In China you get good quality at any price (up to a point). The new differentiators are features. You pay more for features at the same quality.
Thats what i have been telling people and friends that products from China is not inferior but it is due to the buyer/importers from Countries that wanted lower cost and cheap, so they can increase their profit margin. Therefore, China obliged the request since they still get paid regardless the outcome or comments from consumers. The ones responsible for the low quality are the buyers/importers of the buying countries that wants to shortchange their own countrymen. I found out the hardway after a few of my friends sort of let the cat out of the bag on this arrangement with china's manufacturers. They said they specifically insert this request when they visit the factories in China. Purpose is the products can sell fast, people need to replace broken stuff regularly, hence lower quality means spoilt easily and you need to buy again. Also, the retailers will always reply to consumers that it just bad luck the stuff broke down !!

We are talking about an upper middle income economy here not a high income economy. China's HDI is still significantly lower.
