My experience with desert walking was in the Palm Springs/Desert Hot Springs area decades ago before it was developed to the level it is now. I found bones and saw glorious cactus blooming bright colors in the stark scrub brush. Lizards skittering about startled me before I grinned broadly at the elements of nature.
The Owyhees are home to such a vast array of wildlife and plants; where many see only emptiness others find much beauty. Thank you for sharing this video - I hope there will be more about the ODT! <3

I own property in beatty Oregon. About 1.1 miles from that trail. It's kinda hard to find information about that whole area down there.
Skort is suitable for trails with bugs? Do you use GPS to get general directions?
