I think AI is revolutionary, allowing creative people to be more creative . There is always a negative to this type of tech. However, it is here to stay.
I'm so happy I found your channel. You're the first creator on here that I've found really talking about using AI beyond just the voice filters and things like that. The ability to distill the huge amount of raw information from an interview down to something useable is far more interesting to me. I'm also trying to get ChatGPT to take full timecoded transcripts and spit back out the best clips while retaining timecodes. Have you had any luck in the 8 months since you made this video?
This is insanely great breakdown of the landscape and I can tell you have spent a LOT of time considering these points (or maybe you just asked ChatGPT). I'm currently making a new vid about this and completely agree that we should use the tools, as humans we are of course tool builders. My major concern is what this all does to our dopamine reward system when effort is minimised to such an extent. We have already seen what 'cheap' dopamine has done to use with social media, online dating, p**n etc - I truly hope that removing all effort from these tasks doesn't move us further away from what makes us human. EFFORT = DOPAMINE.
Hey Ali, thanks for the insightful comment mate! 100% 🤯 The effort and reward of AI is not something I’ve thought about properly so thanks for that. I remember 2 years ago I produced one of the biggest film projects of my life and was absolutely rinsed by then end of it. 16 hour days for months, but afterwards the feeling of accomplishment fulfilment was incredible. Like climbing a mountain and getting to the top, that’s something we can’t say goodbye to as humans. Keep up the channel as well man - subbed!
@@JoshuaKirkNZ Thanks man, appreciate it I really do. Haha I went through something very similar last year - months of effort poured into a client job. Sleepless nights but what a feeling when you get it done. Let's see where this leads, it feels me with confidence to see conscientious people like you being mindful of the topic. Keep up the channel, I made the Davinci switch last year and I don't think I would've managed it without you! And the Clarity VX/ RX10 de-reverb tip was a game changer. Not sure where you guys are, but you're safe in the floods right now.
Great video mate. I've been thinking about this stuff a lot too and the conclusions keep reaching are 'physical world skills' are going to see a big comeback in terms of the hierarchy demand (until the robots come and do everything in that area from A-Z better, but it looks like AI on computers is moving WAY faster than robotics)
I think you're right, but I don't think AI will be able to create stories. What I mean is that humans care about other humans. AI can make up stories but it's the real stories that are interesting. It's the raw dramatic video actually shot on a real camera with real people in real places that I think can never be replaced.
Hey Friends - How do you think A.I will change our video production industry?

Your videos are great Joshua. Your diction is so good and you dont have silly music in the background. Well done x
Thanks so much!

Very much appreciated. Thanks for making these technologies relevant.
Happy it is helpful 😃
Excellent insight. You are spot on.
We get on the train or w get left at the station hoping for another train to come by.
Yeah it’s wild times for sure! 😅

Fantastic video mate! This has given me so many ideas to implement in my next documentary. Brilliant work.
Awesome thanks so much! Looking forward to seeing the doc!
To stay afloat we have to move. In this time much more! 💪💪💪
Yeah totally.
Great thoughts, Josh. Particularly like the "Creative Work" chapter.
Thanks mate 🙌

Yeah I can see that! Scary to think about it, but in the mean time - head down right ✌️
This is nuts. We are living in a science fiction universe.
Totally!
I definitely may start using it this way as well.
Great to hear!
So true

My head just exploded
