Tragic Souls: The Nameless King Voice-over

- After a few months of hard work and planning, the Nameless King finally joins the Tragic Souls roster! As always, when writing the script, I wanted to go for a different theme than any of the other characters. For the Nameless King, the theme is the futility of existence. Living through at least three cycles, I wanted to give the character a sense of clarity on a much grander scale than the other characters to toy with the idea that even with all his power, he like everyone else in the world of Dark Souls, is doomed. Father,
Forgive my impertinence. I know calling you by that and not Lord of Cinder would be of irritancy to you, but I feel the contents of this letter could only appeal to that part of you. The part... long closed off to me. Before you cast me out, you asked why your Sun, your God of War, would not swing his blade for you the day the dragons fell. I feel the answer I gave you that day, that genocide was beneath me, was untrue . For my real answer, came to me long after you cast me out. Long after your death. Long after your precious flame, unburdened itself.
During my early days in exile, my pride was what clawed away at my soul. My title meant more to me than I ever realized. I was now a lion without his mane, a singer without his voice, a human... without their pain. The shame that came with fashioning armor to defend myself from the scattered bones and rags of the useless undead dregs, was more piercing than any blade or fang. All you allowed me to keep was my swordspear which was forged to taste dragon's blood. In my defiance, I denied my arm its very purpose. In angry retribution, every time I took hold of it, it shocked me with lightning, imbued with a wrath that even devils would grow weary of expressing. It always served as a everlasting reminder, that I, am despised.
To unshackle myself from the downward spiral, I chose to learn. I wandered and saw everything this ever changing world had to offer. I saw things of beauty. I also saw things of profound ugliness. But within it all, a common theme of tragedy. Unyielding in its reach, from the bravest of heroes, to the most sinister of villains, tragedy always found, and consumed everything. That is when I came to my real answer to your question, father. I did not swing the swordspear in your name that day because, all of this, you and me, son and father, prince and king, dragons and Gods, life and death. Deep down I knew. It doesn't matter. Nothing matters. When I stopped caring for a brief moment. When I found momentary relief in the truth, the law of unrelenting tragedy that exists in this world grew creative. I was cursed to wander this world for eternity, to bear witness to coming eras of light and dark. But every time I made myself known to the world again, I would be forgotten without fail. The cruel author of our existence reminded me, that even though nothing mattered, as long as something mattered to me, even a little, I could be hurt. The tender blanket of nihilism could not save me from my own aspirations. For the shining God of War who's name rung through the land with the weight of a giant bell's toll, to never be recognized. For no name to be mine, to be said with the utmost confidence. For no one to feel relief or fear at the sight of me. I could think of no crueler jest to be played, on the Nameless King... Could you?
You kinda sound like Keith David, i think that's pretty damn cool. Regardless, i thought that was very emotional. It captured the sorrow of being abandoned by those you call family, and hated for siding with the dragons. I thought you did an excellent job yet again and hope to see more work from you in the near future. Best of luck with your life and your dreams! -John

even the sikness brought on by sulyvahn poison cannot cloud my mind enough for me to not realize what has happened... oh how i wish it's bitter sting would make me forget... in these... my last moments.
Tomorrow i am to be made sacrifice.. an offering to false god who abandoned our faith to serve his own... i only pray i do not fail to satisfy his hunger, for i fear my fragile heart can bare no more.
In my last moments, i make this final prayer... sister Gwynevere... Sister Yorshka... Father Gwyn...... and dearest brother, whose name hast been lost from time.... forgive me... the weight of my failiures... was more crippling than any hardship that has plagued our acursed family.
Pretty nice and btw it is pretty well theorized that the nameless king's name is Faraam. (Faraam seems to come from Farnaam, which means the one with a highly honoured name, so it would be only logical that he hasn't got his name anymore after he also lost his deific status plus Faraam is a God of War in Soulsborne)

Any chance you could make a Tragic Souls of Aslatiel of Mirrah, the red phantom assumed to be the hollowed brother of Lucatiel of Mirrah
He has no dialogue so there's a lot of room for imagination, you'd only have to use some of Lucatiel's dialogue for a place to start. It would certainly be interesting and you'd be the first to do so

Now that I think of it... Maybe the first born betrayed gwyn because he forsaw the future. He was the god of time after all. So maybe he saw that what gwyn was going to do (trying to re usher the age of fire again and again by getting humans to link it) and saw that it was indeed useless and that it would not matter at all because the world would end eventually anyway. So thats why he sided with the dragons, who are timeless anyway. Gwyn was just really afraid of losing his power thats why he started the dragon war and tried linking over and over :OOO He was just a big wuss

Oh my bad... I thought that he was a god of time, I could have sworn I read something abou that in DS1 lore somewhere.
Actually I think the closest thing to a god of time in dark souls is fillianore. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong.)

Silver Tongue I looked back on our conversation and realized how what I said could be taken as a collab invite. When I said a duet, I meant in terms of characters for that dark souls video, not people. My apologies!
That being said, while I usually work on my own on this channel, I would like to do collabs once in a while on my own channel. Have only done them on other channels so far, never my own.
