I was homeless for 3 years in California, got a job, walked 4 miles one way each day, saved and bought a cheap motorhome and it is the most freeing feeling living on the road. Love it man!

I'm a truck driver and I must say that a bread truck conversion is brilliant. I completely understand the over night parking issue and keeping it looking like a work truck keeps you stealth. Now you give me something to think about when I retire and get out of my 18 wheeler. Great job.
Build a rig like this get a decent size enclosed trailer or flatbed and you have the perfect Hotshot setup with your house
With a RV like this you can park with the big rigs still and feel at home
I keep a 50ft houseboat anchored just south of St Pete. The entire interior was remodeled with waste materials from new construction.
Single best addition I made, was a 20 gallon water pressure tank. It’ll allow both washing dishes, and taking a shower, without the pump turning on.

That wood to keep the cabinet doors closed is genius. Simple, inexpensive and unique solution. Never seen that before and I watch a ton of these RV build vids. 👍

I'm a truck driver. Couple things I would recommend, 12 volt fridge. Also a little hand painted sign on the sides and rear. "Private vehicle Not For Hire" keeps the D. O. T. away. Love your rig! Nice layout!
You did a great job on your custom RV. The back door is smart in case you have a vehicle fire you have a second escape route. Just leave enough space when you back up and park to egress out the back door.
p.s.I don't see the "Arizona" mud flaps.
That heavy steel rear bumper that you don't like looks very strong and functional. I would keep it. It would also probably support a roof ladder, motor bike, etc.
I would keep it to but have it chrome plated...

I really enjoyed your video and all about your clever innovations, it's great! A Dutch style rear door that allows the top & bottom to swing separately might be nice and cover the top half with expanded metal screen for additional ventilation, scenery and security. Keep on truckin'

Very cool and you didn’t spend $150k on it. That leaves a little left for the traveling kitty. I love the on demand hot water system.
We've had on-demand hot water at home since the 80's. 20 showers or 20 loads of laundry is awesome to have, and takes up less room than a hot water heater that wastes money staying hot 24/7. They pay for themselves.
@@POWER-LINKS Almost every Hotel, condo or Resort that I've stayed at in the Philippines uses instant hot water heaters and they've been using them for a long time. Works great.
With such a nice home, why would anyone ever pay someone to borrow theirs (rent) ever again? I cant see ever renting a house or apartment ever again after living mobile, seeing new places, owning my home, and paying less to live this upgraded lifestyle. I really like your bread truck build. It looks very comfortable.
I love it!! The only advantage to living in a house is not being harassed by the cops constantly 😞. But on the other hand you have code enforcement hassling you when you have a house 😡

@@iladelproductions8820 well you're half right, depends on if you are part of an HOA. You don't have to pay property taxes, you pay for gas instead, which depending on the house value, will save or cost you alot more money each year.
Wow! As a former van conversation full timer, I am impressed at your thoughtful layouts and liveability of your unit! My Dodge van was averaging about 12-14 depending on the terrain and speed.

I really like the back bumper it goes perfect with the squareness of the Breadtruck. And it also has more than one purpose , as I'm sure most people can see.

Thats a flash back to the early 70s when 5 of us bought bread trucks and metro vans built em up and went cross country from Az to the east coast and back along the Canadian border. No solar then so batteries were the juice. Magical mystery tour

Another Metro alumni here! Looking back, they were pretty aero correct/low drag, nice radiused corners etc.
Batteries are still the juice now. Solar is just the charger for the batteries, lol.

Great build using repurposed items! All this and 14 MPG is phenomenal! Cummins is the best, and pre DEF and DEQ is a big bonus.
Very nice build. Love the large sink and the bathroom/shower. It's amazing how many things you could build into that truck. It doesn't seem that large from the outside.

CO2 is heavy; put your monitor further down near your head where you sleep. Other than that, great conversion!
CO, carbon monoxide is what kills people. It suffocates you without warning. CO2 causes you to hyperventilate as a warning.

This is golden man, thank you! :) I've been living in a van for over a year now and I just bought a box truck to do this with because owning my own "home" has been the most liberating experience, and I'm ready to commit to the lifestyle. Also props on those solar racks, those are what I used for my 600watts and they're rock solid. The coating has even lasted for months of sitting in the ocean air!
