You seem like a gentle, kind, loving soul. I wish you all joy in your new horse/home combo. Also shout out for your choice of grey: my very favorite neutral/bridging tone, classy, brighter than black, more character than white, soothing and homey, matches absolutely everything, hides at least some dirt--and for those who care about that sort of thing, never goes out of style.
This is a fantastic build for any step van. You’ve included so many creature comforts and I can tell that this Mobil home is super comfortable. With that being said I’m very surprised that you didn’t include a full on indoor working shower considering how much space you have within the step van. Regardless, it’s a beautiful home on wheels and I know it completely works for you! Thank you for sharing and take care!
Lovely build. The barn wood adds so much character to the space! Love the wooden organizers in the back too, solid and useful, and more rugged than plastic. I think you need to add a window next to stove for fumes and maybe a skylight for natural lighting. Its dark inside and gloomy. Cozy for winter nights but depressingly dark. You also need a shower room with toilet inside. A lot of space lost on huge couch which might serve you better to be replaced with a shower room partially? Lucky you for traveling so much. That is wonderful for the mind! Where do you park van when not in use? This is the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about. Batteries need charging, van needs to be used or wheels will get damaged, so who takes care of this when you are gone? Paying for parking, esp sheltered parking can run $500 per month.
Pretty good stuff , a great stepping stone for improvement, steadily or better yet another van to Build while you travel in this one , for instance, new van gets carbon fiber instead of wood , better insulation, ect
Very nice. But 2 questions 1) why not put the toilet next to the tools. And not by the food.. And wouldn't a enclosed room with a fan also help for odors?
I love the idea of it being a stealth van. I don't know if I could do a build like that but I would definitely love to have something like that. Looks awesome
Very very nice build and tour. It's an amazing transformation of the van I saw at Jamie's build gathering in Havasu. Hard to believe its been 3 years. Congratulations on a great build.
Great camper, I picked up a few great ideas from your video. Very clever, love the license plate back-splash, 12V Edison lamps, and the heater on hinges!
I'm loving your van. It is set out really well. The toilet, superb, all it needs to be. The drinking water tank. Perfect, those tin water tanks give out good water. And it looks the part. Doors closed, you wouldn't even notice it on your street.
Very nice indeed. Good idea since a lot of cities are now prohibiting RVs parked in parking lots. To further enhance your incognito status, you should install a sort of drapes or plain color curtain behind the driver area to keep the back out of sight. And looking at your height, you made the right choice.
I really like your build. I am a tall guy also and I have looked at van builds and ambulance builds etc. and that was always a worry for me. I plan on building something over the next few years for when my last child is out of the house so I can road trip and have somewhere to call my own while I do. Thank you for the Step van Idea. Maybe when I start building it I will start my own channel to show the progress of the build.
If you covered you entire roof with solar panels & made a panel out of 2 or 3 solar panels that could hang on one side of the van or the other depending on what side the sun is going down or maybe just have them on both sides. Then you could turn your van into a solar electric. A lot of people are connecting them to the multi gear manual & say the 7 speed automatic transmission for efficiency. You could also put an Onan diesel generator to assist with electricity for night driving when your batteries got low. You could also put a couple of sailboat wind turbine generators on the back to corners for extra power. Then you could install regen for braking. Have you ever heard of the VIA hybrid gas/diesel electric trucks & Vans that get about 100 mpg in the city & maybe 125-150 on the highway with a V6 gas & even better with a small 4-6 diesel depending on size of vehicle.
Looks great someone was selling one in my neighbor hood. I passed on it was a little older. But love seeing your interior. So nice space is great. Almost too much. I would build out shower. Dry math and all the bells and whistles.
Very nice rig! Impressive, and functional indeed! The exterior white paint job, keeps you cooler, in the summer, but my only concern, if stealth camping in urban environments, have you ever been "tagged"? The huge white color side of the box truck, unfortunately would be a tempting canvas, for these taggers to paint their crap, onto the side of your van.
Ummm, since I lived in FLA for 20 years I learned a couple of things, like the highest point of elevation is Spring Hill, 34 feet!!! You may want to adjust your altimeter! Any airport should have the elevation because airplanes adjust their altimeters all the time!! Great build! I loved everything about it including the stealth "value"!!!
You Tube must of messed me up or ?? Anyway I rang the bell and good to see ye again as well!! Chances are improving that I will meet ye in person. They say "builds" are never done and mine certainly fits that but she is closer now to actually being used and traveling at least for winter months
I drove a box van for years as a job. They suck on the Highway. So loud and uncomfortable. The aluminum floor gets hot enough to fry an egg on. Hate to be a downer because it’s a good idea unless you plan on driving anywhere or traveling a lot.
Love this type of van and the set up. Only downfalls are the shower situation and composting toilet. The sinks and counter top are Awsome but too long. I would shorten by 3 to 4 feet on each side for the shower and toilet. Outside of that it’s an Awsome traveling vehicle and the best part is it’s Stealth and blends in anywhere opposed to having a camper which stands out.
Want to wish you a Great New Year, been some time since have seen ya as not gotten the notices of new programs. UA-cam has been that way for so many sights. I am sure with the heavy use of the majority using the internet it has been on overload. I get my internet through Satellite & the Universe may appear to be on overload also. LOL! You are look'n great & remember all about your step up as watched when you went & got it & overtime the build. You inspired me greatly & then some & I Thank-You for being there. With the Corona-19 Virus Pandemic, I am in a holding pattern to get all done to move forward & that is ok for now. Come January 20th, 2021 we will all get to start moving forward & not in reverse anymore. Looking forward in the season that will be to move forward in my journey. You keep me going with your inspiration & sharing always. take care & be safe in your health & travels. always, Tommy :-)
Hey I'm just getting interested in this. I was wondering if there are any good guides on how to repurpose one of these step vans--like what materials do you need to get?, how much insulation do you need?, etc
Pretty cool. I’ll bet you could build a shower by mounting some ABS on the roof. Put the fill valves inside. People will just think it is a plumber truck and with a place to carry pipe.
A suggestion would be to simply affix some aluminum "U" shaped channel to the bottom of your larger tabletop so that it can slide over the edges of the existing table. It would be held securely in place with a tool-free, 5-second swap. If the closest available channel size is a hair big, you could adhere some thin plastic sheeting (like the colored cutting sheets) on the underside of the larger table to protect the smaller table's surface. This would solve the headache (and wear) of unscrewing one table to use the other while eliminating any lose hardware. Just a thought. ;-)
Well I like your van I wouldn't mind trying to build me one similar. You've done a great job on it. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas this is my first time to your Channel so I hope you will take heed to what I have to say. After what happened Christmas Eve I don't think that you should be doing any more residential stealthing of course I'm sure you probably figured this out yourself I now you seem like a pretty intelligent individual. So beware they're going to start knocking on Vans now and RVs and everything else that doesn't belong in the area. Have a great day have a wonderful New Year's and stay safe! TQ out
You have some really great and cost effective ideas! Looking through your channel I don’t see any videos of the build. Did I miss them somehow or are they on another channel?
I'd say delivery vans and luxury passenger minivans are probably the two best vehicle types that can be used for this if you want to fly under the radar. A random delivery van parked at the right spot in an industrial zone is unlikely to attract attention, and a luxury minivan parked in a residential area with the shades up won't be out of place either.
I watched you hunt down that van and build it up. I hate to see your selling it. I pray all is good with you. May god watch over you and bless you on your next journey and beyond.
we all would surely enjoy to see you travel to foreign countries your explanation is marvelous see the adventures you experienced sounds like fun I cannot experience so I thought of bringing it up with you okay thanks
thanks for this ! would love to know how you get your mail or what you do with your mail.... we would be moving out of our apartment for good once we start and finish our build... but no idea what to do about this portion... maybe just send to our family home ?
I love that you are a bibliophile and that you actually live in the vehicle and have for a while. Bravo.
You seem like a gentle, kind, loving soul. I wish you all joy in your new horse/home combo.

I LOVE your rig. Love the floor plan you designed too. I have the same wood in my motor home I took from my barn and coops because I miss my farm.
Followed your build from the beginning. It fantastic seeing how comfortable you have made it for yourself. 👍🏾
I quite enjoy it!
One of my favorite builds....
Pretty good stuff , a great stepping stone for improvement, steadily or better yet another van to Build while you travel in this one , for instance, new van gets carbon fiber instead of wood , better insulation, ect

Very very nice build and tour. It's an amazing transformation of the van I saw at Jamie's build gathering in Havasu. Hard to believe its been 3 years. Congratulations on a great build.
started with an empty box; you are right and sometimes I have to step back and appreciate what I've done over 3 yrs
I love your van it’s like you’re in a living room
Nice to see a solution for people as tall as me :) Great build!
I never saw a step-van before used as a living space. Very nicely done. What a great option!
Great camper, I picked up a few great ideas from your video. Very clever, love the license plate back-splash, 12V Edison lamps, and the heater on hinges!
Haven't seen your van in a while so good to see all the changes.
I'm loving your van. It is set out really well. The toilet, superb, all it needs to be. The drinking water tank. Perfect, those tin water tanks give out good water. And it looks the part. Doors closed, you wouldn't even notice it on your street.
Love your van. I've always wondered why more people do use them for an RV. Eclectic, purposeful and simple, great job.
Seven, I have followed you for a while. I really love the way your home has evolved.
Nicely done Steven. You enjoyed quite a learning curve on your van adventure. Good luck in your future pursuits.
Thanks for sharing your life and your van. Your build has been an inspiration to me!
What a beautiful home. God bless!!
Great conversion, but I have to ask... why would you put your toilet under your pantry vs. under the tool storage???
Very nice indeed. Good idea since a lot of cities are now prohibiting RVs parked in parking lots. To further enhance your incognito status, you should install a sort of drapes or plain color curtain behind the driver area to keep the back out of sight. You can see he has a curtain between the driving area and the living area. It's pulled aside, but I noticed it in some of the shots.
I really like your build. I am a tall guy also and I have looked at van builds and ambulance builds etc. and that was always a worry for me. Looking good, Seven. Your rig has come a long way! Hope things are going well in FL despite the storms.
Very nice job. That is my dream to live VAN LIFE.
Have you ever been troubled by a knock when stealth parked? If so would you answer or ignore?
Headphones.
If they just won't stop knocking, I'm wearing earphones; sorry couldn't hear you...
How bout exterior cams with exterior speakers (hidden) and simply say, “yeeeees?).
This is the greatest DIY home on wheels I have seen - kudos!
Cool step-van. I think I would not put the toilet in the food pantry though.
Nice setup It is really roomy. It looks like the rear of the van is sagging a bit. Maybe some stiffer leafs could solve that?
air bags better way to go, that way U can adjust to just the right rate
@@Jake2670 air bags always fail. They leak within 10 years max... not really a lasting solution. Cool but not worth the cost
@@thomasbarlow4223 I'll take the better ride n being able to change rate when needed
You have one of the best vans I've seen on here! Love your style! Keep making awesome videos! Thankx
So creative and resourceful! I love this. Just discovered this channel - looking forward to checking out more of his videos!
I like the kombucha set up and the wave heater on a hinged panel
Wowza!! So cool to see how far this has come! YOU ROCK!
Very nice mobile tiny house. Well thought out. Very cozy.
If you covered you entire roof with solar panels & made a panel out of 2 or 3 solar panels that could hang on one side of the van or the other depending on what side the sun is going down or maybe just have them on both sides. When you've defeated all of the other hipsters, you must then face the mobile kombucha hipster boss. 😂
I'm only teasing. Impressive build!
I died. Funny as heck.
I'm just starting this journey. Your internal feels like a local bar I want to hang out at every night. You are my hero.
Looks great someone was selling one in my neighbor hood. I passed on it was a little older. But love seeing your interior. So nice space is great. Almost too much. I would build out shower. Dry math and all the bells and whistles.
Most creative intelligent build I've ever seen! ...well articulated description of everything, thank you sir.

Love the LED lights in the ceiling. I did that in my house all the way around the livingroom and down the hall to the bathroom. :)
Thanks for the video Seven. I was wondering how you deal with security and if you've ever had any break ins?
Ummm, since I lived in FLA for 20 years I learned a couple of things, like the highest point of elevation is Spring Hill, 34 feet!!! You may want to adjust your altimeter! Love the constellation ceiling
Your home is looking super functional but attractive too. A lot of inspiration for mine!
I was in doubt about adapting a van or a box truck, you pushed me to the box truck for sure :D
Very nice build and layout, love the hidden toilet!
Nice setup! I have been looking at step vans for a while. Is it hard to drive?

Like the kitchen/seating area a lot. 👍
Great tour, i drive for UPS, been watching vanlife videos, very unique house, 👌
Hey Seven, been awhile, glad to see ur doing ok - if ever around AR, let me know, U can park down by the river :-)
Sweet set-up! Living the dream
Hey I'm just getting interested in this. I was wondering if there are any good guides on how to repurpose one of these step vans--like what materials do you need to get?, how much insulation do you need?, etc
MERRY CHRISTMAS SEVEN! GOD Bless you and all you do.
I have a question. You have used grey boards for wall covering. approximately how thick are those boards and how did you attach them?
Very cool. I enjoyed your video a great deal. I also appreciate the thought and work that went into your project. Peace in 2021.
Wow- beautifully done! Looks really livable.
So awesome! Would be the perfect rig, going to keep my eye out to get one myself! Thanks for the share and happy new year our Human Family!
Looks like you did a great job fixing up that van . I would have put a shower in it but other then that it seems really great .
wow great video😎👍👍👍
Very nice video! Nicely edited, too. Hoping to find a list of items with links. Thanks for putting this together. Happy travels.

I just got a shuttle bus, I cant wait to build it into a camper!
Always exciting to see new content!
Yo - 7. Youve sure made a lot of progress in the last 3 years. Good job.

Thank you for your tour of your home! :) Very nice.
Excellent! Very practical and balanced build. Very stealth too
For the toilet you could have that closet door flip it so instead of a curtain you open the door to cover where you would put curtain
Great Job! I learn from every video so thanks for sharing!
I wonder how tall Seven is and how he earns a living to able afford be a nomand?
Thank you for the tour
Really nice work Any smog issues in California How is the insulation. What engine and transmission? Thanks

Seven, at 6’6” tall, is there a reason you didn’t build your toilet higher?

Thank you for the informative tour.
