For this Real Auto Reports Real First Impressions Video we take a quick look at the 2014 Kia Forte EX. The Forte is all-new for 2014 and seems to have a lot to offer on paper. Our EX test car is basically the top-of-the-range in the model family, which includes some pretty luxurious features and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
So what is different about the 2014 Kia Forte EX? Well, it is just about every aspect of the car. It appears longer, lower and wider, while at the same time having features available like heated and cooled driver seat, heated steering wheel and a cooled glove box! Moreover, the 2.0-liter engine is peppy and fun to drive even when mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission.
At just over $25,000 as tested, the 2014 Kia Forte EX offers a lot of features and more room than you might expect. The question is whether you will like this new generation of design and styling.

t's been two days since I got my 2014 Forte EX and...... I LOVE IT!!!! What a great little car. Well... it's not that little. I'm 6'2" tall and I feel very comfortable driving my Forte. I got the Aurora Black color with black leather seats. Love those leather seats. And if you are planning on getting this car.... you have to see it in that black color. with the chrome accents it really looks amazing. One friend of mine even told me that when he first saw it he thought it was a Lexus. Must be because of that Audi designer. It really looks way better up close. I did test drove the Mazda 3 (too expensive), the Focus (again.... too expensive if you load it up with features) and the Elantra (very different car than it's cousin the forte) and didn't liked any of those as much as I loved the Kia. The Forte really feels and looks like a way more expensive car..... for the price I paid for it. Took advantage of lots of bonuses since the dealer was liquidating the 2014 fleet to make way for the new 2015 models. So I saved a lot of money and still got a brand new car that I totally love.

Ara J. The EX 2L 173hp has the 6 speed only in Canada with a sport suspension but sold on the Cadian side of the border w the US

my snow white pearl EX has a cheaper paint job than this blue here..and an even bigger trunk than my prior 14 cu.ft. Mazda 3 sedan....impressibve German design...I got one of the rare 6speed manual transmission not available in the US. Today I got 39mpg on curvy backroads and small towns with the big 2L 174hp high torque engine.
