Andi, apologies for the tardy response. The build quality was good on our test car and the ones I have seen around the dealers. I think you will find Mazda quality control rivals many of the German automakers. I suggest you look at several on a dealer lot and see if they all look similar in alignment, tightness of fit, etc. That is the best measure.
Drove this car at RMDE this year for over an hour. Exceedingly comfortable and probably the only car that rivals the Ford Fusion in looks in this segment. A nice, tight, well-built car with excellent drive characteristics.

Aaron, can't argue with you...they got this 6 right. I wasn't a fan of the second generation.
We tend to agree with you. It is a little small for the segment, especially compared to the Ford Fusion.
