    So cool to see Fieros still getting the love they deserve. I wish GM would of kept the Fiero alive long enough to see what it could have been. I just bought a 86 SE that I'm restoring. So thanks for some ideas and tips.

    Thanks for the video's, I am resto-moding an 87 GT myself, currently swapping in an F23 5spd since my stock getrag locked up.

    I say get stock style end links. When those wear out then you can do the zero lash. I don’t think the end links will make-or-break the feel of the car then you’ll be onto the next thing to get the car down the road

    I would put my money on 215. Have a feeling the extra lift from the cam won't make a huge difference w/o the force induction.

    That sucks about the zero lash, glad I passed on them.

    I'll get some good videos posted up.. But I'm running l67 with the 4speed xp cam, intercooled on 3.4 pulley and it's honestly stupid fast for a fiero.. Haven't dynoed yet. Should be around 310 to 350hp range.. I definitely wouldn't push 7000 rpm in her.. The only weakness to the 4speed transaxle is the differential and at 7k rpm they don't like that. I'd keep it under 63 or 6400 tops..

      I'm wondering what I'll be shifting at. The motor has a ZZP XP camshaft, comp 136# valve springs and comp OE-R lifters. It's getting a F23 5 speed transmission so I'll need to look into safe shift RPM for that as well.

      @@JuryRigGarage my setup is nearly the same.. The 5 speed isnt a whole lot different than the 4.. But the highway gear is much better obviously.. It wouldn't be any different.. The differential is the weak point and they don't like high rpms.. So best to not push much past 6k if you want it to last

    How’d you get that front coil spring in there so easy lol I’ve been fighting with mine to wedge back in and it’s a bear!

      aftermarket lowing springs they kinda just fall in like that. My 84 never even came with the rubber spring spacers so I had to hold mine in place when bolting the knuckle in place.

      ahhh excellent what brand do you have a link to the springs? thanks! @@mortisangelica

      They were on the car when I got them. They’re definitely aftermarket lowering springs. If they were stock I would need some kind of spring compressor I think

    Not doing the fiero store brakes or grand am brake upgrade?

    • @JuryRigGarage
      @JuryRigGarage  8 місяців тому

      I'm interested in doing a break upgrade but I need to do more research first. I have read mixed things about those upgrades and the fiero store kit is very expensive.

      @@JuryRigGarage I think I did the fiero store kit when it was 400 bucks.. It's night and day difference braking... But honestly you can go get the kit yourself cheaper at a junk yard just find you a grand am and take the brake calipers off that.. I beleive you want the 88 to 95ish grand am calipers..

    If you need two steering dampers you have something wrong with your suspension! I don't even run one. I just deal with the bump steer, welcome to the world of old time manual steering.
