I have a 2019ss no npp and I got the corsa extreme axle back put on and my car is quieter then a muffler delete by far. Is it quiet because a valve is closed on the axle back? What can I do cause I already spent my money on it and installation
@@uncledrew5513 well if you have the NPP version and the valves are closed; that is why. Since you don’t have NPP you have to figure out how to keep them open. Obviously a MUFFLER delete will be louder than putting any muffle back on the car. But my car with headers and the Corsa NPP is 100% louder and sounds 1000% better than any muffler delete car you will ever find. So to get the loudest setup: Corsa Xtreme and any longtube headers you want
What set is this exactly ? Is it the entire set up or just the rear portion. And where can I order the right one 😂 thank you for the awesome video though !

Super Stan, thanks for the in-depth review of the variable exhaust. It was important to me to be able to hear the touring compared to the track even if it was just your gopro audio. It was also important to hear your opinion. I live in an HOA and I use my npp on my 2ss 1le with 2" kooks, cat deletes and stock npp. Sounds good but no more warranty. I wanted to keep my warranty on my new zl1 but improve the sound and maintain some quieter tour for my neighbors. Looks like the Corsa sku 14789 is the variable version for sale now in 05-22. Are you still happy overall? Any more thoughts? TYIA. Happy motoring.
Getting the NPP back with installing this system has been great. Love everything about it. I have a similar exhaust setup now to what you have and the sound level is still reasonably quiet in tour mode
You hit my question right on the nail. I have a ZL1-1LE 2019 and I love the crackle and pops and I thought it would sound better with just the axle back npp plus stock mid pipe vs the xpipe and axle back. But I seen some reviews where someone said it sounded stock... So I wanted to do some more research
Common sense, Yes. NPP = valves ALWAYS opening and closing. No matter the mode. Xtreme system does not use NPP. Therefore, this system would have less sound output.
It is SLIGHTLY quieter than the original Xtreme, but also a deeper tone. If you want pure sound then don't get this setup, this offers the best of all worlds.
@@Sl0wLt1 no just leave that actuator plugged in and zip-tie them out of the way. Never had a check engine light once. Some people will tell you that you will get a CEL but just leave them plugged in like a said and it will be fine.
@@christopherpickens1478 well I don’t want to deliver bad news to you, so if you find a solution that would be awesome. But as far as what I know, there isn’t a truly practical solution to adding the valves/actuators to a non NPP car. The system is mostly controlled within the ECU via the mode selector, so that would be your biggest hurdle. You can put the valves on a switch inside the car or on a remote but it would not work like true NPP. Essentially you would have a “cutout” type exhaust at that point. But like I have said maybe there is a better solution. Since my car has NPP I haven’t had the need to do the research. Good luck
non NPP is the LOUDEST possible. NPP version has a deeper tone bust still loud as it should be. NPP gives you the flexibility to keep it quiet as possible.
demon56 I highly doubt it because you will have to modify the valve connection. Since the GM NPP actuator have somewhat of a key way style spline to connect to the exhaust valves. The Corsa valves are made for that key way. Easiest way would be to buy GM actuators and wire them up on a switch but I’ve never seen it done.
demon56 sure you can but it won’t be cheap. Your better off trying to find one local that came off of a car. But you will still need the actuators some how
It's WAY louder than stock. If you haven't heard it in person I would hold that opinion. But I understand the pricing issue. I noticed the quality difference Corsa offers once I pulled the trigger and spent the money.

the one that you linked in this videos description, does it have the valved option?
@@darkne2sss no that is the non-valved version
Good job on the video… question… I noticed you had to go to Track Mode to get the valves to open. Does it not open in Sport Mode?
Sport and track mode have the valves open. Sport will just close the valve in certain rpm ranges. Track keeps them open 100% of the time
Play Call a Doody? is that code for take a shit?
Man that sounds pretty good, how much does the rear axleback weigh? is it lighter than the stock suitcase muffler?
Its lighter but not enough to make a difference. The performance advantage is significant though.
Super Stan wdym performance advantage ?
@@vlexlopez5389 There is no performance advantage. This is a sound upgrade. Possibly, a slight reduction in weight from the massive stock muffler.

NPP vales on 6th Gen all use same adapters. The answer to your question is yes, this works on ALL 6th Gen Models with NPP.
