OH MY GOSH! I am kicking myself for not seeing this! I just saw Winnie The Pooh and couldn't see past it! Thank you so much! I love the overall shape too!
These are adorable! If you do Winnie the Pooh style again could you paint on a red shirt? The rolling pin technique was ingenious- hats off to the person who suggested it. These jars look like baby’s room trinket holders. Maybe a ‘baby’s first piggy bank’ or something along those lines. The colours were beautiful ♥️
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate this!! I hope the person who suggested it comes up in the comments because I would like to personally thank them! I’m not even sure if it was here or over on another social media platform now! I was meant to say in the voiceover that I didn’t end up doing the red shirt for a couple of reasons! The main reason being the shape of the bear! Winnie the Pooh has longer arms and this bear has really short and stubby arms. I made the judgement call that attempting to get a tshirt look on these really short arms would end up looking like a singlet and not getting the result I really wanted for the piece! The other reason was I liked that it still looked like the earlier Winnie The Pooh too hehe
When my wife and I were in our high school pottery class (falling in love back in 2011), she made the pot you’re trying to make here (threw the jar, hand-sculpted pooh and the label)! It actually turned out really cute for a beginner (given she had a lot of passion and natural talent). Her mom still has it on display on her mantle! I doubt that one is food-safe, though 😅
I’m sorry! I didn’t add the shirt because of the shape of the bear! The arms were too short to get the length of a tshirt on them. It was a judgement call that I was meant to mention in the voiceover but I forgot!
There was a companion piece of just a large bear figure. I would say it was about 8 inches tall. It was very popular in the 1970’s as a baby shower gifts.
I do too! I wish I could have fit them in the kiln this week! I was thinking some pastels or even warm browns with a cutsie look! This week I was wishing my kiln wasn’t so small because if I could have fit them all in at once I would have been able to have both in this reveal!
Ive binged watched all of these videos. I love the series. Its such a good idea and so relaxing to watch. Id be totally into watching mold remakes in the future. Like revisiting them and going wild. Maybe altering them, adding things, etc.
I have one of these jar bears!! Not the mould, but the pottery result. My grandma poured it in the 80s. I use it to hold toothpicks. This was so wonderful to see you build this one, since I still have this little guy in my kitchen!
oh theyre so lovely!! i love the use of that glaze, it would be cool if you did use more glazes like that to show them off, i didnt even realized the glaze itself is what creates an effects like that! the embossing of the hunny label was really neat to see as well. cant wait for the next one!
This is by far my favorite one!!! I had guessed it was going to be a pot but the bear on top totally surprised me!! I absolutely LOVE the honey pot's glaze! It's so perfect!
Those are Super Cute! Even if you had skipped the details on the face, and simply left them with the details removes, I think your ode to Pooh bear would have come across loud and clear. So Fun!
I think so too! The bear shape is very different to Pooh so I definitely want to go back in and give it a go based on my own interpretation. This week was one of those weeks where I wish I had a bigger kiln!
Watching this gave me so much joy! You're right, the bear doesn't really look like Winnie The Pooh but the way you contextualised it really works well so straight away you know it's him!
The jars have a really a pretty nice canvas for a striped design as well. Also, am kinda a sucker for patchwork toy aestetics and think that'd be fun on these as well. But how you did them is really cute! Like Winnie the Pooh was also my first thought as well when I saw these. Nicely done.
Oh my gosh! 44 already?! Thank you for these, you put so much work into this series and it really shows I’m so inspired by you and your penchant for this craft. These lidded pots are so sweet and the end result is absolutely lovely 🍯
I love these! They are so cute! I do wonder with the bear, maybe you could try one and cut the bear off entirely and make it exactly like poohs jar instead.
Totally loved the faux "plaque" . That whole jar came up a treat. That type of bear was very common in the 90s.Often done in a patchwork using pastel colours. I liked the simple "Pooh" style you chose, but I'd also be keen to see your own design on it.
I loved the plaque too! Next to the glaze result it was probably my favourite part! I really want to see my own design on it. It’s so funny doing another persons style in the Pooh because it just felt like it wasn’t me. I just wanted to add my own style on it so I will be sure to do that to the other two that didn’t make it in the kiln!
By the shape I thought first that we were getting a tea pot, but the jar is absolutely adorable!!! The honey milk glaze definitely gave it a beautiful color and it was the perfect finishing touch. These would look amazing as coffee/sugar/spices (and of course, honey!) jars, especially with your beautiful flower designs, maybe even using the bee mold and applying them as appliqués!.
It’s lovely watching this. I did ceramics for a few years and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. That glaze was beautiful, quite inspired. I love that you have rescued the molds and are working with them. I agree with the Lollylolly, koalas! Everything is better with 🐨 xx
Watching your channel and this series has made me fall in love with pottery again. I haven’t done any in decades and now I’m looking for a local studio to learn.
I am late to you party but am really enjoying your reveals and creations. You are helping me through a nasty chest infection. Looking forward to watching the rest. I loved the sunflower mug and the woodland trio. ❤️ the skunk xx
I was recommended one of these videos yesterday and had a total binge to catch up with this series. What fun! I hope you never run out of molds! Looking forward to what's next!
@@ShelbySherritt It was actually UA-cam itself that recommended your videos. They saw me watching a lot of videos involving sewing, woodturning, and resin art so the algorithm figured I'd like your content. They don't always get things right, but this time they did!

Stinkin’ adorable Shelby, love the Hunny embellishment and the glaze color. Your take on the bear looks a little like the original illustrations. I adore Pooh Bear and am glad to see your twist on the mold. 💜
Your enthusiasm, talent, and art style are all delightful! If I didn't live on the other side of the planet, I'd love to order one of your mugs. I'm afraid it wouldn't survive shipping. Hope to see an Aussie tea pot soon.
I love what you did with this glaze! It is perfect! I totally see what your mean about the bear though. Would it be possible to just cut the bear off the top or would that ruin the piece? Because the jar would be adorable without the bear too. Either way, it's lovely!
I have a feeling if you did your own design on the bear it would have looked amazing! The jar though, it’s already really gorgeous! You did such a great job
Winnie the Pooh is my favorite ❤️ my mom always called me Pooh bear growing up and now my puppy is named Winnie ❤️ you're pieces are so sweet! Definitely had the Winnie the Pooh theme! But maybe a red shirt would give it more of the feel!

in my highschool ceramics classes we would put our pieces in plastic garbage bags with damp paper towels to slow down drying/re wet the clay if it got a little too dry.

This is so cute!!! You did a great job on them!!! I can see you making more in gummy bear colors too. I'd order a purple bear one, with your beautiful flowers on a white bottom. Too bad I'm in the US. I've always loved teddy bears.
Make him a koala bear or just add your Aussie flowers. But love the glaze and overall shape of the pot.
My thoughts exactly!
OH MY GOSH! I am kicking myself for not seeing this! I just saw Winnie The Pooh and couldn't see past it! Thank you so much! I love the overall shape too!
Came looking for this comment - Koala mod in her signature floral style was my first thought! 🐨💐
Why isn't a koala a bear? Because it doesn't have the koala-fications
(Or, because it's a marsupial)
😱
Koalas are NOT BEARS
🤪🐨
I would be really interested in other designs for the bears. Maybe do a patchwork one!
I was thinking this! And maybe doing pastels but I wasn’t sure for the jar as I fell in love with how this glaze looks on the piece!
I would also love to see them revisit this! Patchwork would be adorable, and like a classic brown teddy with a bow!
@@ShelbySherritt I don't know if you play animal crossing, but a pastel version of Stitches would be sooooo cuuuuuute
