Monica on the second verse is so satisfying with her usual heavy vocal that is also noticeably subdued like ✨ swoon ✨ the runs, the harmonies, the bridge, the interpolation of the original Brandy and Monica the boy is mine at the end! Another favorite part of the song for me is the "the boy is mine" going to the chorus, the way it slows down and the beat drops out, it's just so satisfying... I never knew brandy and Monica as such exceptional vocalists... I feel bad for sleeping on these legends... I started listening to their discography after this remix and they are all fabulous. Ariana is the best mainstream pop girl that is carrying vocals these days, no one is doing like her. She is bringing back 90s music.
