    ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO:
    Why Your Dog Needs the Health Benefits of Probiotics For Dogs:
    For 'good' health, your dog needs 'good' bacteria crucial for their gut flora health and to maintain strong immunity to disease. Dogs with itchy skin, hotspots, ear infections, dander, strong body odor and excessive paw licking will benefit greatly within a week or two of taking probiotics.
    From my own research of several thousand dog owners feedback, I can confirm that probiotics work for the following dog health problems:
    • Probiotics rebuild gut flora populations after antibiotic use.
    • Probiotics help to smooth the transition between diets, preventing diarrhea and vomiting.
    • Probiotics provide excellent results with healing yeast infections.
    • They helps to cure and prevent ear infections.
    • They help to settle a dogs sensitive stomach.
    • They reduce or eliminate gas and belching.
    • They reduces or eliminate bad doggy breath.
    • Probiotics reduce or eliminates excessive diarrhea by firming up stools.
    • They reduce itchy skin and hot spots to allow healing from excessively chewed, licked and scratched raw areas over parts of the body.
    • And probiotics reduces heavy shedding.
    Your dog needs the health benefits of probiotics for dogs every day. They are essential to good health and need to be available as a constant in your dog's life. Varying the types of probiotic is important to get maximum benefits from various strains of healthy bacteria.
    3 of The Best Probiotics For Dogs With Natural Digestive Enzymes:
    Some probiotics come in convenient powder form you scoop into your dogs food and others come from whole foods. Here's 3 of the best probiotics you can give to your dog.
    No. 1 Powdered Dog Probiotic:
    Number one is a Powdered probiotic supplement. It's an excellent and convenient choice and one of the best probiotics for dogs with IBD.
    Dogs up to 50lbs: 1 scoop daily added to food
    Dogs over 50lbs: 2 scoops daily added to food
    At one scoop a day it will last 6 months although for very small dogs 12lbs and under I'd go with a half scoop so it will last 1 year.
    No. 2 Goats Milk:
    Number two is Raw goats milk and It's abundant in natural probiotics. It's low in lactose - the sugar that’s in cow’s milk - so doesn’t cause the same digestive problems as regular cow's milk.
    Give goats milk to your dog daily according to their weight:
    • Dogs up to 20 lbs, give 2 oz or 50ml
    • Dogs from 20 to 50 lbs, give 4 oz or 100ml
    • Dogs over 50 lbs, give 6 oz or 150ml
    You can find Raw goats milk at your local supermarket.
    No.3 is Kefir:
    This fermented milk product is an excellent choice for breaking down yeast in your dogs body.
    Kefir contains as many as 36 strains of friendly bacteria and several major strains not commonly found in yogurt and one of the best probiotics for dogs after antibiotics.
    Kefir can be found at your local supermarket. Simply add some to your dog’s daily meal by adding a 1/4 cup or 60ml per 25lb or 12kg of your dogs weight.

      Excellent. Remember to ad some fresh food to the meals to keep health up. Just add some raw eggs, canned sardines and a some cooked and well mashed veg. That way your bully will stay in great shape and improve muscle/looks.
      Take out some of the dry food when adding the extras.

    Hello, Dan. I always appreciate your videos and quick responses to questions. I have been giving my two min pins (age 13) and Pomeranian (age 4) the Pet Honesty probiotics with 6 billion CFUs. However, did I see somewhere that you recommended Four Leaf Rover: Bifido for Fido MultStrain Dog Probiotics and Prebiotics for Immune Support with 50 billion CFUs? Which is best?

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Patricia, new supplement ideas come up and so I recommend them if thay are good. What your using is great too and actually has more species in it, just less CFU's. I recommend using the ones you have until finished, then get the other brand after that, simply for variation, one is not better than the other in my opinion.
      I would say that if there's itching/ear infection or yeast issues, the best probiotics for this situation is soil based probiotics only: amzn.to/3yoURqU

    I just ordered the probiotics you kindly suggested from Amazon, can't wait to receive it as I live in Guatemala. Our GSD has always been fed on kibble food, the best qualitoes but had never heard how they're not as healthy and all the symptoms it causes. Our GSD began with the itchy skin, dandruff, shedding a lot, ear infections & paw licking. Now I'm mixing into his kibble food cooked liver, beef, veggies and he's enjoying it so much. I wonder if chicken is also a main problem for yeast infection? Thank you so much for your great videos.

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  3 місяці тому +1

      The main issues for yeast is from carbohydrates, sugar, vaccines and meds generally plus additives in pet food.
      I'd keep the kibble as small as possible and more fresh foods like meats, fish, eggs and organs such as liver (raw best by a long way). Keep meats, organs as raw as possible and transition slowly to more raw based foods.
      Chicken is fine, proteins dont cause allergies. Dogs get allergies which cause issues with proteins.
      1. Don't feed the yeast. Stop all carbs/sugars, Sources of carbs and sugars in pet foods include:
      Rice
      Millet
      Potatoes and sweet potatoes
      Wheat and corn
      Oats
      Peas.
      Your doing great though, well done for stepping up for your GSD.
      Also fast the dog 1 day each week for 24hrs water only, that really helps too.

      @DanScott1  3 місяці тому +1

      @@Lilian2391 Yes they are ok but fasting 24hrs water only once weekly will help organs detox/rest from supplements daily.
      Only give egg shell when feeding meats.

      It's diet that needs urgent attention!
      Here's some diet advice:
      If you feed kibble, the best thing to do first is remove 50% of the kibble from the bowl and replace with raw eggs (best) soft boiled (ok) and preferably organic, canned sardines (in plain water with skin & bone intact: 12 Pack Sardines - amzn.to/3vaXrj6), some part cooked and blended veggies like broccoli, kale, green beans, spinach, brussel sprouts, bok choy etc and some meat proteins such as chicken meat, even better.
      If not liking to prepare vegetables then these freeze dried greens are antioxidant packed to help protect cells from free radical damage, cellular repair, support immunity, joints, skin issues, heart and eye health: Core Immune CARE Greens: shrsl.com/3uv18
      Now your dogs getting live enzymes, probiotics, Omega 3 oils, the highest quality proteins and nutritional assimilation from eggs (100%), and antioxidants, minerals and vitamins from vegetables.
      Always add a quality probiotic to improve digestion and gut health: (skin issues/yeast/itchy dogs) use this one: amzn.to/3yoURqU and for all other dogs use this one: shrsl.com/3uv7l
      If you want an excellent, VERY low carbohydrate kibble at just 5%, (high carbohydrates cause chronic inflammation, with itchy skin, yeast, poor gut health, ear infection, UTI's and hot spots, and nearly all kibbles are 40+% carbs!).
      Ketona has high protein at 47% (dogs thrive on proteins), correct fats at 15% and natural additives, so have a look at Ketona Kibble: healthydogforlife.com/KetonaKibble. I recommend still adding the fresh foods even with the best kibble.
      By introducing fresh foods, really lowering carbs use, introducing greens, omega 3's, proteins and a better more suitable kibble, your dog will respond with healing and improved health over the next 12 weeks.
      Some must do's:
      Zero vaxx once adult (auto immune disease issues rife from over vaccination)
      If Rabies is mandatory, use Protect after shots: (Humic & Fulvic acid) amzn.to/33P2P1i
      Very low carbs in diet, 10% or less (cause of inflammation, poor gut health and later, cancer)
      No vet drugs, there's effective natural alternatives (always!)
      Feed a healthier diet with at least 50% fresh food in it.
      NO white foods ie white rice, potato, pasta..

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  3 роки тому +6

      Plain natural yoghurt is best in that case, and give daily if you can or at least a few times each week.
      Re vaccinations, keep to a minimum. From my research, puppy shots pretty much cover the dogs lifetime, after that they just cause problems from over-vaccination.
      And to know ahead of vaccinations, there is a test called a titer test which can check for the antibodies present in the dog. This determines how protected the dog is and shots can then be given only if necessary. Pet parents are not told this titer test is available!
      This is a much better way of knowing how protected your dog is rather than blindly vaccinating the dog every 1 to 3 years. In the US it's every 3 years to vaccinate according to AVMA guidelines but many vets are pushing annual shots which is way too much.

    Hi Dan! Thank you for the video. I have an American bully he's 3yo and weighs 65lbs, he eats Bully Max Pro. I'm told this food already contains probiotics for him. But since a pup he has always consistently licked his paws and when I put a collar on or pet him by his neck he gets very sensitive to just his right ear and will begin scratching at it. He also is kinda extra gassy..belches more than average. Though His skin and fur are beautiful I know he's irritated and needs my help. I'm feeling hopeless bc of the endless research I'm doing but having no real guidance and am so scared to choose the wrong treatment that could harm him. He comes from great breeding dual registered and his parents don't have these symptoms. Could you check out the ingredients on this food and please give me some advice? I really don't want my boy to suffer any longer I've tried multiple things but not the things you mentioned in the video. I'm hoping to find the most healthiest and beneficial treatment even if it's daily for life. I have to ask you about the pet labs co probiotic chew? Or how about Nutra Thrive? Please 🙏🙏 help.

      Great dogs, I had a UK Old time Stafforshire, similar in appearance to US bullies (originally the same line).
      Well you have landed in the right place this time!
      I checked out that food and no, I don't think it's good enough, too much carbs and synthetics causing the problems you state. AND NO vaccines or other vet drugs, another health issue.
      Here's 3 brand options (video): ua-cam.com/video/HdmrW_FKTp4/v-deo.html
      You want to be adding fresh food to the diet. Think whole raw eggs, canned sardines (in water), part cooked and blended veg and some hemp omega oil with vitamin E, 2tsp per meal: amzn.to/3vDdtjX
      Also give soil based probiotics for stomach. belching will stop: amzn.to/3yoURqU
      And to boost that immune system, nothings better than beta glucan in mushroom complex: amzn.to/3y2U4KA
      When you add the extra fresh foods, take out 30% of the meals kibble.
      Forget those chews you mentioned, horrible. Added probiotics is marketing BS. Give these for treats: amzn.to/3jTqu6a
      Now that's a great start for you, things will improve. Also there's my ebook if you want more - Feed Your Dog Better:

    • @DanScott1
      @DanScott1  3 роки тому +2

      @@maye1729 Probiotic formulations have a number of probiotic species in them, typically only a few, say 5 species. What we want is as many different species as possible for greater benefit. So more species the better.
      For example, the one I recommend has around 12 species while something like Kefir (a natural fermented product made from cows milk) contains around 26 species.
      The bilions number is the quantity of those species. So in the product I recommend, it has 12 species that number 2 billion in total amount provided. Sometimes they go up to say 10 billion.
      The most important part is the diversity of species. The greater the diversity, the better. So 12 species is better than 5 species, regardless of the billions number, although more billions means there's more of each species which is better as it means more chances of some species actually making it to the gut lining and poulating there.
      Hope that explains things.

      @DanScott1  2 роки тому

      Theres a few things going on with the dog which needs different things. The probiotic does help with digestion (barfing) and diarrghea: amzn.to/3yoURqU
      For the common cold the dog needs antibiotics so I recommend a 7 day silver protocol: amzn.to/2UXexmC 1tsp by mouth 2x daily for 7 days. Give probiotics while doing this.
