I’m pretty sure due diligence is the most important factor in choosing the right probiotic. If you can’t do that for your pet…do you really care?

Oh come on!! Drop some names... that would have been even more helpful. I was using VetriScience for over a year and it didn't seem to help. Now I'm back to looking for a different brand.

@@jewels4028 I use RxBiotic by Rx Vitamins each morning. This was highly recommended by my Intergrative Vet. Can find on Chewy or Amazon. I also feed my dog goat milk by RAW PAWS every evening. He has zero digestive issues.

For human and likely dog health, the synergy of the consortium of microorganisms in a probiotic may be more important than the broad diversity. I love yogurt and agree with you, But those strains may not be enough or may not survive the journey down to the small intestine. There are times where probiotics are necessary and essential (like after antibiotic use)

I've been reading over a lot of the questions and comments for mothers and realizing that there doesn't seem to be any responses too many of them. I realize this can be difficult when you're dealing with many but some of them have a point but I am curious about. Number one you did not as you said list the best probiotic as the video suggest. There are others been on a personal note I'm curious about the doctor Marty's food and supplements? But I guess I'll have to look elsewhere since you guys don't seem to respond to a lot of the questions.
I have a golden retriever x rottweiler puppy 8 weeks. I'm scared of joint problems in the future. Should I give him supplements for that now, while he is a puppy, or will that hurt him?????? :( trying to research this but can't find much.

How do I contact Dr Becker? I listened to her podcast on milk thistle and seizures. My St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees is on phenobarb and I want to switch to milk thistle but not sure how to do it safely.

Hey guys! I’m new to the channel, and I know this doesn’t really have much to do with this video but I need help! I started cooking homemade meals for my dog but she seemed to get tired of my dog meatloafs, then we switched to ground turkey and veggies, then chicken and veggies. Now, she will eat two bites of chicken or just walk away from the bowl altogether . I’ve started to leave the bowl for Max 10mins and then pick it up, but now it just seems like she doesn’t care to eat. I desperately need tips to get her to eat. I also give her a supplement that I sneak into a piece of chicken liver. I just want her to get used to a good nutrious and balanced meal

If the lactic acid was able to release the bacteria into the milk, does this mean the probiotic would not survive stomach acid and make it to the intestine. Then maybe scruffy and adorable pet are not that good. Need clarification on the results

Would you consider looking at Nutra Thrive? They make it sound amazing, made by a vet of 20 years blah blah blah and I dunno what to believe. I looked for reviews and information but the only info is on their site, no one has reviewed this product. I dunno if it's just not popular yet or if it's just new but I have 6 cats and I want them healthy. I dunno what to trust.

I too have been looking for reviews on NutraThrive and there really aren’t any. It’s surprising that such a “great product” doesn’t have any reviews except for the ones on the products website. I have a feeling it’s a scam.
Nutra Thrive is formulated by my vet in Oakland, CA and I've been giving it to my 2 year old Boston terrier for about a year (previously he was on Rx Vitamins). Both products have a similar nutritional profile but I've noticed my dogs coat is more shiny and softer with Nutra Thrive. Also, Nutra thrive has a natural bacon flavor my dog absolutely loves. I add 1/4 tsp to his fresh food twice a day along with fish oil, a probiotic and calcium supplement. One jar will last me about 3 months. My only negative comment about the product is the price as it can get very costly to feed large dogs or multiple pets. I think the best thing to do is try is out and see what works best for your pet. Hope this helps.

I don’t know how viable this test really is when Purina FortiFlora is developed with canine trial testing, and used by vets, and has cured all 4 of my rescues within days or sooner of gut issues whenever they arise. Whereas PetKelp and Only Natural Pet haven’t done anything significant for us. And I’m not sure how you rate FortiFlora so low when some of the other test results were clearly not as coagulated...

On the other hand I wouldn't trust Purina anything for pets since they've had problems with their foods poisoning and killing many dogs

Please please help me. I am tired of researching for soooo many months for a great probiotic for my 3 yr old, 3 lb super itchy teacup poodle.
I am finally down to 2:
Flora Dog has:

-GMP certified
-10 Strains
20 billion cultures
Pet Ultimates has:
-Prebiotics
-GMP certified
-22 Strains
-2 billion cultures
That is a big difference between 10 strains and 22 strains! And a HUGE difference between 20 billion and 2 billion. So, which is better? The one with more strains or the one with much more cultures? Remember, she is only 3 lbs.

I am a chronically ill disabled person. I'm exhausted. I'm just trying to feed my dog well so she doesn't suffer like I am. You're telling me I have to become a dog nutritionist and a scientific researcher to figure out how to do that well? I don't have enough years left on this earth to learn every aspect of this topic. And SHE doesn't have enough time for me to get a degree in canine nutrition before I know how to take care of her.
Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how to feed MYSELF. There's tons of misinformation out there about human nutrition and twice as much bad info about animals. How the hell is the average person supposed to wade through all this crap in a way that actually has a positive impact on the animals that we love?
Well, the responsibility of the dog’s life is on the caretaker. Due diligence is love for your pet. Go to the vet, get recommendations from professionals instead of looking on UA-cam of all places lol

The first few min of this turned me off off off. like that is going on? I find this hard to take seriously. Its difficult enough figure out what is best without some jazzy video that is all hyped up on red bull to confuse me even more,,, just the facts please without the over hype raw raw neveau cool music and wierd voice overs DISLIKE thumbs down
