Excellent work by a devoted and talented Uber fan of Slade. This is EXACTLY why Slade In England is THE place to go for the discerning follower of Slade.
What a great piece of history you have restored for us to see and hear. Thank you for your dedication in bringing these videos to light. I luv this one showcasing them having fun
Ноди (Neville John Holder) еще жив. Прошлый Новый год на BBC его попросили озвучить знаменитое "Everybody everywhere!". Это было бесподобно!!! Живу в 150 милях от его замка.
Absolutely fantastic mate. No one else takes such time, effort and devotion to deliver such stuff to us remaining few, and maybe a newer audience seeing such stuff for the first time. Only from SIE. Magic
I grew up to Slade, first time I seen them live was 1973 in Manchester, I think it was in Stretford but can't quite remember as I was only 13 at the time. I do remember Dave Hill being dressed as he is here though. The last time I seen them live was at the Apollo at Ardwick Green, Manchester in '81 or '82. One of the best bands ever live, I still say that no one can play Born To Be Wild like they could. Thanks for the upload!
Another SIE top quality never seen until now Slade treat. Up there with your Sweet Box footage David. Amazing how someone dedicated as you are can use their skill and time with contemporary technology to show us Slade fans and all this amazing stuff :)
I worked 38 years at the Cinematheque de la Ville de Paris (France), I was a projectionist and I would love to project your 16mm film on the big screen, well done for your excellent work. J'ai travailler 38 ans a la Cinematheque de la Ville de Paris (France) , j'etais projectionniste et j'aurai tant aimer projeter ton film 16mm sur grand ecran, bravo pour ton excellent travail.
Great work, again, David! Another gem from Slade in England! ( not another of those lesser sites) This is THE place for Slade related stuff. Lots of input, research and results!
I got to see Slade in their prime in Britain while I was in the USAF in 1980. They were on fire! One of the GREATEST bands to ever exist! .💖💕💖👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💣💥
I know you're not a fan of the smash, bang, whallop stuff they did but this is a fantastic showcase for at least part of what the band were all about. Magic. And most appreciated for sharing.
I've read about & listened to Slade, rather than have actually have seen them live, considering I was born in 1971. These old videos give me an idea of what their hey-day concerts were like. Really both looked & sounded like quite A Great Show to have seen. If you were there, you were very lucky.
@@crowhillian58 You are very lucky. I've seen quite a few bands from Krokus to Accept to 10,000 Maniacs, to The Original Judas Priest. The last two were great, however, I envy you with seeing Slade during their heyday. It must have been a lot of fun. Thank you for replying.
@@crowhillian58 I saw them in both 85 & later in, I think 99. The Turbo tour was Huge. They were absolutely great. The later one wasn't so much as they had Tim Owens as their lead singer & played to a much smaller venue. Would have loved to have seen them before they became mainstream.
So, I met Don Powell (maybe 2003) and he told me that when they were touring Australia and the tour bus unfortunately hit a kangaroo. They stopped. Out of the bush came a local gentleman of original descendency and he had SLADE across his knuckles. Years later I met Don again (maybe 2019) and he confirmed the fabulous story.
how have i missed this on you tube, unless i have seen it and my useless memory is messing with me! anyway enough waffle, absolutely brilliant Dave.11 out of 10
This is a fantastic find by SIE... Certainly the best footage of the band singing GDAGWI... Thanks for sharing and taking the trouble to make it watchable once again... Once again SladeinEngland proves to be the world's leading authority on all things Slade.
Before Tommy Thayer became Ace Frehley of KISS, he used to practice his Space Ace-imitations in a little British band called Slade. Oh, wait, it's Dave Hill. My mistake :-)
When it comes to a proper rock song like no other, This is It !
Грандиозно! Энергетика невероятная. Слэйд навсегда останутся с нами, такими, какими мы их знаем с детства.)
How can anyone give this fantastic discovery the thumbs down? They can't appreciate just what this gift to the Slade brethren really is...

Энергия молодости! Что может быть лучше?! А для начала 70-х это просто SUPER!
Вот и я подумал и всё это происходило в 70е годы это же шабаш-революция в музыке и пошло и поехало но всё уже потом
