  • Slade Alive! was the first live album to crash into the British charts at the No. 1 spot. It was this mighty recording that proved to the world that Slade were not just a singles band.
This is the independent guide to the album that rocked the world drawing on rare performances featuring performances from TV archives around the world and the views of the band in 1972, contrasted the reflections of critics.

Great documentary about a sadly underrated album and live band. One of my biggest regrets is never seeing them live.

I never stopped listening to Slade Alive during the last 50 years. Next to MC5 these lads played the purest form of energetic Hard Rock of that era. Brilliant and timeless!

I think this is a great appreciation for a live album that I have cherished for years. It was my first live album I bought and as a teenager I was super proud of it! Now I am 61 and I still listen to it regularly. Best live LP for me and of course I have this album on vinyl and CD. thanks for this beautiful documentary in which Slade is so beautifully appreciated!

I'm a Slade (Noddy Don Jim Dave) fan since the early seventies. Most of their songs are covered and these are so great that they even sound good if played by b-artists or amateurs.

The album as a whole works. Today! Right now! Blasting it through my headphones as a kid was exhausting. What? A 30 minute album? Great stuff.

Best concert I ever went to. They had the crowd in the palm of their hands with out a doubt. Of course Cheap Trick got their name from them.

The start shows '73 Randwick Racecourse in Sydney Australia. They nailed it here and at the indoor shows at Hordern Pavillion '74.

The best thing about Slade was their instruments, that dark cherry SG with the bridge cover, nice guitar.Am sorry but am just seeing a gang of Jimmy Savilles with guitars.
