My favourite arc from all of shippuden. Shikimaru’s incredible intensity, the planning on the shogi board, the immaculate fighting. Kakashi being an absolute god, some of his cleanest and most intense fighting. Not to mention naruto learning the rasenshuriken. This was an immaculate arc.
Both kakuzu and sasori got nerfed in their battles, to me its bad writing, because if they won they would kill the protagonists, hidan did his job, kakuzu should've escaped and died later on

In this battle Ino was as useful as 12 year old Sakura. Throwing some Shuriken, getting caught than saved. Choji's level was also far behind as he got demolished by Kakuzu using only 1% of his strength. Only Shikamaru and Kakashi were strong enough to face the 2 Akatsuki.
I always say this is the best performance of any ninja in the series. Kakashi went toe to toe with two immortal akatsuki who had just killed a jonin just prior to this. All while protecting the useless Ino and Choji
At that time they just introduced the Akatsuki and I was hella afraid of them but Kakashi literally fought the two immortals on the team with just Shikamaru. Kakashi sensei is a dawgggggg!

Can we just acknowledge the fact that Kakashi basically went against 5 opponents (Kakuzu and his 3 masks plus Hidan, both S rank) and was able to compete or at least hold his ground? Even if in the end he had to get assistance it is still pretty darn impressive.

Hidan and Kakuzu were the best Akatuski. Itachi and Tobi were top tier but if Hidan and Kakuzu had found their very very obvious weaknesess we could have seen the two best boys absolute dominate the Akatsuki. Itachi and Kisame are great, Tobi is great... but none of them come close to the absolute domination of my boys Hidan and Kakuzu.

It really speaks volumes to how much of a beast Kakuzu is that Kakashi needs to break out Front Lotus just to "distract" Kakuzu from Hidan.

This fight really gave shikamaru and kakashi some much needed attention and credit but lets be real this shit was way to rigged. Literally just made the akatsuki for the sole purpose of getting deafted by naruto and theres no way they should have been defeated so easily let alone by natuto.
We can all agree kakuzo is of high rank than dedara and it took the whole wit and skill of sauske to take him down.
@@topflair3684 yea kishimoto kinda did kakazu dirty, he just used him to test out rasenshuriken and he couldnt think of a way for naruto to win so he just had kakazu fall for the same trick twice
Can we just acknowledge the fact that Kakashi basically went against 5 opponents (Kakuzu and his 3 masks plus Hidan, both S rank) and was able to compete or at least hold his ground? Even if in the end he had to get assistance it is still pretty darn impressive.

I dont agree with this but its true, and he was going toe to toe with kakashi one of the top 3 ninjas at this point in time. In a world with no plot armor rasenshuriken wouldnt have ripped kakuzu to shreds 😭
Kakuzu would have killed them all without naruto. Kakashi 1st Kamui would have drained all his chakra

The bravest ninja is kakashi..he never afraid to h2h with any opponent although he know they're more strong compare to him..itachi..kakuzu..pain
Hidan and Kakuzu were the best Akatuski. Itachi and Tobi were top tier but if Hidan and Kakuzu had found their very very obvious weaknesess we could have seen the two best boys absolute dominate the Akatsuki.
Itachi and Kisame are great, Tobi is great... but none of them come close to the absolute domination of my boys Hidan and Kakuzu.
