It is amazing how different Kiwis are from Aussies. Kiwis embrace the native culture, while Aussies despise the aboriginal culture. You guys embrace it and you blended with it, creating this powerful band!! congratulations! I am a new fan !
So nice, for a change, to hear a really heavy metal band who kicks ass and who also has a real singer! So refreshing! I thought I’d never hear any newer metal band again who SING! Bravo to you guys!!! You sound great!
As a Brazilian myself, I'm proud when I read ppl comparing Sepultura's early and this. Sepultura had the same view: "bring the Brazilian culture mix to thrash metal scene". It's a shame that they didn't stick to that view. This 20 something trio have so much power, and my hopes are high on them. The metal is strong on that band.
Little shorter that it should be, but this song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it no matter what version you guys play! Stay heavy, stay metal but most of all... stay yourselves!
I hope these guys keep faithful to what they are doing right now, because is absolutely amazing! It would be hard for me to keep steady and quiet at the table..
I was part of an initiation ceremony in Taupo and when i touched my nose to the chief i understood something special i will never forget hongi. thank you for opening my eyes
I love this song, whatever it's metal or not, this song is about a pride of them and their identity, instead of making a common metal song, they want to us to respect them with an awesome way
Hello Young Brothers of Metal! Watching this video had me pumped!!! While the audience was slow to respond initially, you certainly had a great response on the close of your song. A room full of, "round table" guests usually has a level of importance and You Guys made a great impact on them according to the rise of cheer that was recorded. Very much a great performance Guys! Well done!!! With that said... Moving forward... While the opulence of the event was encouraging, remember that You are not writing music to please those, "round table" monoliths! You are writing because you have a great deal to say and share!!! THAT IS what made you recognized! Even before You were, "recognized". Stay true to Yourself guys! Alien Weaponry Forever!!! (I can't forget about the, "Almighty Johnsons" thought!!! LOL!).
This is awesome guys, Congrats!! Been listening to metal since the 80's, and love symbiosis of cultural heritage and metal. It's so authentic for this genre. I feel many others will follow.
I remember telling someone in the music industry 10 years ago that NZ should export more of it's Maori culture through modern music, metal specifically. I was laughed out of the room.
@son vult Fringe in NZ...like metal everywhere....maybe more so in NZ. haha. And in accords with our "tall poppy" principles, we will ignore them no matter how big they get overseas. (Hopefully they take a page from Lorde's management...get out fast, go big over there somewhere before we beat you down)
They’re coming to Toronto on May 17 in a small club of about 500 people. I haven’t bought my ticket yet, but I will soon. Only reason that I didn’t buy it is that may 17 is the 5th birthday of my nephew and wanted to be sure that I’d be able to attend his birthday party. But it looks like my family and I celebrate it on another day so I will be able to see alien weaponry.
