Any news on the subject? I'm tired by people saying it's just RNG. The simple fact of questioning this in reddit was motive to downvote. People are so immature. We know the sample is not accurate and it's small, but we are just gathering data. Somethings really feel off. I have about 100 exiled mages kills all done in 300+ corruption and I don't have a single one mad alchemist laddle. And also I don't have any exalted experimental affix dropped from these kills.
i m level 99.5 without a single ladle... i've even gone back to normal monoliths (was farming corruption 500) and kept resetting the zone after i find, kill mage, rezone and i still havent dropped one. feeeellssssbad. Fun note, there's someone who posted on feb 18, 2024 on the forums of him not dropping one either and he thinks that the blessing for more wand drops could be affecting it, though it's not proven.
Completely anecdotal as well but I had the same suspicion after feeling like I got way more stuff while leveling vs pushing 700+ corruption, even prior to 1.0 I'd have to collect a significant amount of data for this but I was also suspicious that the blessings which "increase drop rate" actually reduce it as well. It may be easy to miss a reduction in drop rate as most often we clear significantly faster as our character gets stronger, so even if your drop rate was lower you may not notice.
Another maybe related observation: Ive been doing mostly cof monos since launch. Yesterday I started doing low tear dungeons and noticed that i see roughly three times the amount of exalted gear dropping from the trash mobs. To the extend that almost every entity appears to be dropping an exalted or two 70% of the time... Going back to monos (250 corruption) afterwards did not hold up to that amount to no extaend at all. Dont get me wrong i saw increasing numbers in exalted throughout the mono journey but this seemed odd. Can anyone else back that impression or was it rng?
@@basewarrior There's absolutely zero significance to how many people gather the data. Those sample sizes are just way too small. You can't draw any conclusions from this data at all. And if you actually look at the current spreadsheet, there are people who got drops at high corruption, so with such a small sample size, that immediately fixes the percentages.
@@DerMef the sample is kinda enough since its kind of a boss drop, its a loot table from one type of monsters, so the chances of dropping the item is so big. And explain to me, why did i drop 3 laddles in 50 mages in 100 corruption, and 0 ladles in 180 mages in 400 plus corruption. And have u been pplaying the game for so long? I have an infinite number of 2lp laddles in lecacy because i dropped so much of it in my early access runs. the item is not a 0.01 drop rate item to need huge sample, this is one of the most common items in the game
Avg Droprate of Ladle seems to be 1 in 50-60, but since rng is a bitch can be way more/less sometimes. Ofc you might still be right, but it looks like you just don't have enough sample size to confirm whether high corruption drops are working or not.
2 in 23 is just lucky and far too small of a pool to base any % of a drop rate. something with significance would take thousands of kills. I myself have been just very unlucky with ladels. At level 100 with the warlock and i've seen a total of 1 ladel and it was somewhere in the 300 to 400 range of corruption but i have certainly killed hundreds of mages at this point.
I only got a single ladle and I just hit 200 cor.ruption. I think I killed >100 mages while being below cor 200. so examineing the drop rate needs far more sample size. Please make sure to only use numbers you know they were really counted and not just guessed (like mine here)
It's not bugged. Your data is bad. You have a total of 406 kills with 11 drops, for a drop rate of 2.7%. When an item has a low drop rate, you need a large sample size to validate it. Many of your sample buckets (0-100 corruption, 800-900, etc.) have very low sample sizes, which are more likely to give aberrant results (e.g. 8.7% at 0-100 and 0% for 800-900). The only two buckets you have with even decent sample sizes are the 100-200 corruption showing a 3.8% drop (n=159), and 200-300 corruption showing 2.8% (n=107) Above 400 corruption you only have a total n of 30, so it's not surprising there have been zero ladles. Assuming a 3% drop rate, with 30 kills, you have a 40% chance of NOT seeing a ladle, so this data set showing 0 ladles above 400 corruption isn't unreasonable. I wouldn't take this data seriously until you have a minimum of 100+ mage kills for each bucket.
I'm pushing 700 corruption atm and had only 2 Ladles and those were dropped in the very first days of release. After watching this video I have tried to farm it at 100 corruption and viola, I got two 2 LP Ladle in half an hour. This should not be an RNG issue. I also mentioned before the 1.0 release that, around 200 corruption I had 20-30 of target farming nodes at monoliths but after 200+ corruption I only had around 10-15 nodes full monolith reveal even at 800 corruption... Something really broken about high corruption and the drop rates...
I've killed dozens of Exiled Mages in 200-300 corruption but got zero laddle. After watching this video I went to 167 corrption timeline and got a LP2 laddle in two mage kills.
I had three LP1 ladles drop in a row. After 2-3 more mages I got a 3LP. This was at somewhere around 250-300 corruption. Maybe the code is actually putting the higher corruption chance increases to this range of corruption instead.
After 70 hours at 400+ corruption with 87% wand drop rate and 22% unique drop rate I had exactly 0 Ladles. I stumbled upon this video and went to an 100 corruption mono. 3rd exile dropped 1LP ladle. Incredibly bugged
I got 3LP Mad ladle at 180ish corruption no idea on total kills but i go for mages every time i seem them and am lvl 99 MG faction - up for sale atm with 40% on 2 rolls and the rest 30%
1200+corrupt here , got 2 or 3 in 200+/- maps and only 0 or one LP , pretty sad yeah I may see more Uniques but no more high LP uniques aswell , got some LP3/4 between 200 and 400 Corru then nothing for LOOOOONG , still nothing today
The numbers in that spreadsheet tell us nothing yet. Its way too little sample size.. those numbers are well within normal range. Also i would be careful with numbers from random players.. many just guess them instead of keeping proper notes
@23 what drop chance for the ladle are you assuming? edit: to clarify... you are telling me a drop rate of 3.8% vs 2.8% with a sample size of 159 and 109 cant come from the same distribution (for instance: 3% droprate)? of course you can widly t-test literally anything, the value of insight gained is rather limited though.
Farmed them for the affixes and ended up with 3 but my estimate is a rough one since it's my 3rd character and I killed most of them in 300- 400 range only. T7 droprate is also something they should look into
This is not new to me, around 1 month ago I played my runemaster and was also trying to get a better ladle and killed 100+ mages with not a single one dropping on around 400-500 corruption, the mage would either drop nothing or the 2h spear/merophage occationally.
i drop Ladles like candy at 550-650 corruption. I farm The Last Ruin 60%+ of the time, if that makes a difference. I am at 10x 2LP lades and 1x 3LP, 1037 echoes completed in that timeline, CoF. Blacklisted confirmed, too much bug use
The drop rates in this game are definitively bugged. I've ran Soulfire bastion about 100 times at T4 and the belt hasn't dropped once. At '18%' chance, that means statistically i should have a 99% chance of having atleast one drop.
Side note I got one alchemist laddle very early on (2nd tier of non-empowered monoliths) on my 1st character, my 2nd character going through the monoliths the 2nd time hit the 3LP laddle. Those are the only 2 laddles I've dropped - I have two characters now that are just getting into empowered monoliths (100 corruption still on both). Haven't been hunting mages specifically, just as I found them along the way. When I combined with an exalted wand I got T6 Spell Power, but missed the T5 cast speed prefix. The other 2 secondary stats are fine, but obviously wanted the prefix. Still a solid spoon to hold me over until I find better.
There could be a confirmation bias. People have similar perception like you might be more likely to provide their data, which makes the result look “worse”
I will comment only what i feel & see even before the 1.0 update which i think was the same drop get lower as you going up. I found all my good unique's and exalted items at 100 corruption & farming at 300-400 corruption by spend x100 multiply more time and found less.
Hi Curse, I've been tracking my stats. 500-600 14 kills 0 ladles 600-700 24 kills 2 ladles 700-800 20 kills 1 ladle Also I ran some soulfires 3 kills 0 ladles
I saw only one ladle so far. Granted I don't have a million hours of gameplay but still. It feels more like a exiled mage bug specifically no? The rest of my drops feels ok.

Eh nothing really conclusive. I'd avoid the topic as it is extremely difficult to prove correlation with random drop data
That explains, why my friends drop ladles all the time at 100 corruption, while I find zero after pushing 400+

I had the exact same reaction and observation. Seems like lower tier dungeon drop wayyy more exalted/unique stuff
Too small of a sample size at high corruption to assume that it is bugged.
The data was gathered by multiple people. It may not be very accurate but it does seem a bit off.
Have you even watched the video?

I’m at 240 cp. No idea how many I killed during the different monos but 0 drops
It may be that the ladle is considered a lower tier item, and drop rates lowered because they figure people would be done with it by later endgame
agree
the devs should make it have higher lp rate in higher corruption

154 isn't hight corruption
I thought they said higher corruption would increase Lp chance but not drop chance ?

True. I also don't record every mage kill because I'm in too much of a rush. Very hard to get rid of all bias.

Hi Curse,
I've been tracking my stats.
500-600 14 kills 0 ladles
600-700 24 kills 2 ladles
700-800 20 kills 1 ladle
Also I ran some soulfires
3 kills 0 ladles
I saw only one ladle so far. Granted I don't have a million hours of gameplay but still.
It feels more like a exiled mage bug specifically no? The rest of my drops feels ok.
any updates on this data? spreadsheet doesnt seem too conclusive either way, so is it safe to keep pushing to try and farm the ladle?
Nothing conclusive. I think it's either just RNG or a different dimension (not just corruption).
Only got one mad laddle with 1 LP so far and it dropped in campaign
When you are at corruption 1000, the game tells you that what you want is not what you need :P
got ladle with lp2 on 220 corruption. So they still drop there at least :) I'm falconeer so no point in that ladle tho
most of the items I get are for a necromancer, I play a magician....
hi ! is your Necromancer Bone Golem Build still viable ?
yea but it got nerfed a bit so it won't be as competitive as something like the new wraithlord one
but is it abble to reach for something like corruption 400 ?@@TheCurseBG
Does the wand blessing increase the drop rate?
No the wand blessing doesn't work on boss specific drops.
Was in your stream yesterday when gathering the data for this. The tin foil hat is soooo funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I got a 4LP ladle off my first exiled mage in empowered monoliths. Was silly luck
WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY SO MUCH laddle?
Higher corruption most definitely drops more items
can u make a low life warlock ?
maybe, we'll see :)
16 exile, 1 ladle corruption 170-200
320 cor - 360 cor
127 + kills
4LP x 0
3LP x 0
2LP x 1
1LP x 3
0LP x 1
I would love to weigh in here. playing at 300 corruption atm. love to spend time sample data .. but one question tho: What is "Ladles" ? lol
