I've been knitting for many years and was always afraid to try complicated looking patterns. I started on your trellis pattern yesterday and I am hooked. Thank you very much for doing it slowly and speaking so clearly ❤❤
FINALLY! An informative, understandable, pleasure of a video without a lot of fluff and fiddle faddle. Thank you! I’m so inspired and encouraged to try some new stitches! 💗
I'm 5 years late to this video but I'm SO HAPPY I saw it. You're the best, this is exactly what I was hoping to find and listening to you just makes me happy. Thank you for such wonderful videos ❤❤❤
I made a very pretty cowl with this pattern using a heavier yarn and size 13 needles. Everybody loved it and I am a brand new knitter, you are a wonderful teacher!!!
+Meg Rokov --I could do this! I have size 13 needle and heavy yarn. Thanks! I guess the gauge doesn't matter if not using the needle to the yarn, correct?
Amazing you tutorial video really reach education of knitting. Thank you so much for your patient, passion, and your teaching skill.i am enjoy it and I am your follower.
This is such a beautiful and easy pattern! It looks much harder than it is. Thank you very much for showing this. I'm sure I will be using it soon :) Have a lovely day, Sharon
I have just found this site, and I am loving it. I am trying to teach myself how to do more fancy stitches and you make it look so easy, much more than trying to understand what I am reading in a book. thank you
I love your stitch, very elegant, Im very glad I found you!!!!! Your video's fantastic. I was asking you for the writing pattern, but I FOUND it. Thank you!!!!
I am Ruth from India and I love all your patterns. You explain it so well. I am certainly going to try it I am interested in making scarfs. THANKYOU SO MUCH MAM
I have been sucked into this wonderful woman's videos for knitting and help me I love you, Joann! Thank you so much for posting these videos they are really helpful for a beginner like me and I hope to see more of you for the future thank you so much!!
I feel like your a secret weapon! You’re video variety is amazing and I feel like you’re the answer to all my questions. This would make a gorgeous scarf!! Thank you so much. You must be incredibly smart!!! Thank you thank you
I tried your three stitch lace . This is such a pretty stitch also. I can't do the Three stitch lace so I'll do this one. I'm a beginner which is probably why I can't figure it out. You make it look so easy. This one is easy but I had to tear it out several times before I got it going good. I do love the way you show your patterns. They are always very clear.
I love this easy stitch! Thank you for sharing. It's very easy until you have to undo when a mistake is made! I am starting for the fourth time! I like the soft yarn but I am using it with a raw silk and it is coming out nicely as well. I will do it with a softer yarn with a thin mohair yarn.
JoAnne Cortese....same here...starting over 4th time 😧😲😲😲...it was going really amazing n then duh! Missed a stich somewhere n had to undo all my work😣
JoAnne Cortese..reading your comment I m not feeling like I'm the only one who is undoing it for many times..and feeling motivated to try for this stich again..by the way I'm also at very beganing level..I wished I could find a video about mending it instead of redoing again n again from the start..😇n I just found it under your comment..😇😇😇
thank you for making what seemed impossible (for me) so easy.... I'm doing your butterfly pattern at the moment and this is going to be my next... love you xoxo
I love this stitch and I’m making a pair of socks but, didn’t know what to do in row two. I wonder if is k2 yo k2t. Thank you so much for inspiring me to make new things!
Instructions: Multiple of 4 K=knit P=purl yo=yarn over psso= pass stitch over the last one you knitted. 1.- *K2, yo, pass 1 purlwise, k1, psso*. 2.- *P2, yo, p2tog*. Repeat these 2 rows.
Hi. I love your channel. You are so sweet and such a good teacher. And I love the stitch patterns you teach. This pattern starts and ends so the lacey part is on the edges. How should I adjust the pattern so I can have the solid section of the pattern at the beginning edge and ending edge?
I am making a baby blanket in this pattern as I love it with worsted weight yarn. First it was on 10-1/2 needles and it was way too lacy so I switched to size 8 needles and hope it is ok. Any comments are helpful
I love how clear the video is! When I'm knitting, the left edge of the right side always ends up so much longer than the other side. Is there a solution to this?
Where can I find the written pattern to your lovely knitting? I'm a new knitter and I've just discovered your videos and watch one after another. Thank you.
I LOVE your tutorials. They are so easy to follow. I am using this pattern to make some pretty dish cloths. Speaking of dish cloths - Maybe you can help me with this one. I'm having a problem with the cast off. I do not know what this dish cloth is called - but many people use this pattern. 1. Cast on 4 loops 2. Knit 3 rows 3. Knit 2 yo knit across to the end You do this until you have 50 loops on your needle Then you start casting off. This is where I am having a problem. I keep watching other videos. Way people tell you to cast off it works - but when it is finished I have these thin line pattern going down the sides of the other half of the dish cloth knitted. I do not know how to cast off without getting this line pattern on the other have of the dish cloth. Can you help me with this?
+Belle Starr I think it would be great for a baby blanket, though. With the kind of yarn she is using, it would be soft and lightweight, perfect for napping!
+Belle Starr It would make a lovely spring/summer blanket, when you just want something light covering you. No matter how hot it is, if I am going to have a nap, I like the security of a blanket...just my opinion.
I love watching your tutorials. You speak clearly & slowly enough, for me to follow And your work is lovely. I think I will use this pattern for a scarf. I am re-learning how to knit, after being away from it for more than 20 years. My grandmother first taught me when I was 5, but she's no longer with us. So, I have to find another way to learn; hence, You Tube. Even though I am now the age of a grandmother, you kind of remind me of my own grandmother, who was so sweet & very patient. :) I just have a couple questions about this pattern, if you don't mind: 1) I have DK yarn, to make a scarf. What size needles would you use for this pattern, using DK yarn? 2) Would it be a good idea, if I'm making a scarf, to add 4 or 5 stitches on each side, to be done in knit stitches? You said to do this on another lace scarf you demonstrated. 3) Also, should I do a few rows of all knit stitches when I start and finish scarf? Thank you so very much. I look forward to more of your videos. :)
1.- A size 8US (5mm) needle will be ok. 2.- Yes. About 4 stitches on each side of garter or seed stitch. 3.- Yes, Use the same stitch as on the sides for about 6 rows.
Instructions: Multiple of 4 K=knit P=purl yo=yarn over psso= pass stitch over the last one you knitted. 1.- *K2, yo, pass 1 purlwise, k1, psso*. 2.- *P2, yo, p2tog*. Repeat these 2 rows.
Lovely videos easy to follow but can you knit a cardigan for a baby step by step,knitting is difficult but seeing your videos I might be able to knit something.i love to crochet and I have made hats and blankets but knitting I end up with holes and so many mistakes that I stop my projects.Please whenever you have time I would really like to make a cardigan for a baby
So gorgeous! I'm sure I can do this! You are so good at this, easy to follow and understand! Thank you! :) I want to start now, but I don't have a size 8 needle. Would it be just as pretty with any other size needle? I have PLENTY of yarn, but not all sizes knitting needles. Thanks in advance! :) I won't be getting to the store till Saturday or Sunday, I'm hibernating :)
There are many ways to bind off. The usual way, like here, is that you knit 2, pass the first over the second...knit another stitch and pass the first over the last one knitted and so on. Sometimes we ask people to bind off in pattern, in which case you continue the pattern and pass one over the other, even if they are yarn overs or purls.
The stitch is simple but my problem is that if i make a mistake i do not know how to rectify it. I have to start at the beginning all over. Can you pl help

I love this stitch and I’m making a pair of socks but, didn’t know what to do in row two. I wonder if is k2 yo k2t. Thank you so much for inspiring me to make new things!
Instructions:
Multiple of 4
K=knit
P=purl
yo=yarn over
psso= pass stitch over the last one you knitted.
1.- *K2, yo, pass 1 purlwise, k1, psso*.
2.- *P2, yo, p2tog*.
Repeat these 2 rows.
JoannesWeb thank you so much, you are fabulous ❤️
Hi. I love your channel. You are so sweet and such a good teacher. And I love the stitch patterns you teach. This pattern starts and ends so the lacey part is on the edges. How should I adjust the pattern so I can have the solid section of the pattern at the beginning edge and ending edge?
You do have to stitches at the beginning and at the end but if you wish, just eliminate them and start with pass stitch, k1 and pass over.
your the best in all your stitches i tried this one but if i miss stitch or slip it i had to start fro the beginning and that makes it difficult
I love this channel ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for doing this video.
que bonita puntada y se ve que no es trabajosa espero me salga igual de bonita saludos gracias por sus videos
+GUADALUPE ISADORA RANGEL RODRIGUEZ Muchas gracias a usted, Guadalupe, por vernos y por sus porras.

love this stitch. so easy
Loved the video
Thank you!!!!! Beautifull!!!!!!!
Very beautiful and not difficult to work on. Thank you very much :)
I want to make a cape with this pattern, please guide me how to make increases and decreases in this pattern.
I would have to sit down and knit it, while writing the instructions. I'll do it sometime.
So beautiful.
The yarn used in the video looks much fuzzier than the Caron acrylic linked...
This is not Caron yarn. This is a #3 soft yarn.
Lovely. To work in the round row 2 ) k2tog, yo, k2.
Yes
Please tell hole designs for beginners with 2 shade single thread wool.
Beautiful 💕
I found that it is much easier to do k2tog. on back loops instead of sl1, k1, psso . Same result.
I am making a baby blanket in this pattern as I love it with worsted weight yarn. First it was on 10-1/2 needles and it was way too lacy so I switched to size 8 needles and hope it is ok. Any comments are helpful
You do need to change needles when it doesn't look the way you want it to. It happens to me very often.
Love your Video’s thank you!
my favorite stitch i used thin yarn with size 10 needles

I love how clear the video is! When I'm knitting, the left edge of the right side always ends up so much longer than the other side. Is there a solution to this?
Maybe try making the last stitch a little tighter.
beautiful

Cast off on the right side, without making the Spike stitch. Just in knit stitch.
hj Williams
Hello! Do you know what would the pattern be in the round?
+mariah Instead of the purls, you knit. since you are doing it on the same side.
+JoannesWeb thank you. so you knit two together instead of purl two together, ?
Can we make a hat and for adult size how many loops we need
Please make your swatch for gauge.

Really pretty stitch. Do you think this would look good for a blanket?
+Belle Starr Not too much for a blanket because it's "open". Meaning like "lace". It will not be very warm. Maybe for a shrug or a cowl.
+mary elizabeth Yeah i always need a blanket for nap time, good idea for a light blanket!

is the very first row knit stitch and then those steps ?
I am from Bangladesh. Verry nice.
Thank you for following us! Wow. We love our international friends !
Would that be 5 mm needles?
Yes. For a #3 yarn
Thank you.
Hermosa puntada pero no la encuentro en español gracias
Thank you!
How would row 2 be knit in the round? Thank you kindly
On the second row, instead of P2, yo, p2tog, you -K2, yo, k2tog. -
Very nice
adorable I love it
I am confused as to which stitch is passed over on row 1.
Instructions:
Multiple of 4
K=knit
P=purl
yo=yarn over
psso= pass stitch over the last one you knitted.
1.- *K2, yo, pass 1 purlwise, k1, psso*.

Hi Joanne, wld you mind clarifying what you mean by “cast off as always”? Thanks 😊
JoannesWeb Thank you!
So sweet
May I ask a question ? Why do U use needles 8 with that thin yarn ? Marie in France🇫🇷
The stitch needs to be
"open", and it happens using larger needles. Most lace stitches are done with larger needles.
@@JoannesWeb thank you
The stitch is simple but my problem is that if i make a mistake i do not know how to rectify it. I have to start at the beginning all over. Can you pl help
Please use a lifeline. ua-cam.com/video/Kn1hXpiuXNw/v-deo.html
I love this pattern. I wanted to to a cow neck with this pattern. How may stitched do i cast on? I'm assuming 160 stitches?
Yes. Just about right.
