Thanks you for showing this stitch. It replaced another rosebud stitch that I was finding impossible. However I did find your stitch count difficult to follow so I marked off blocks of 5 stitches and figured it out. First row is k2tog, yo, k1 ,yo ,sl1, k1, psso. 3rd row is k2, yo, k2tog, k1. I hope this is helpful. Many thanks
thank you so much for making this tutorial sheila!! i’m a new knitter and am almost finished with my first big project in basic stockinette stitch but this will be very helpful as i’m trying to branch out in my abilities :) keep up the amazing work 💗💗
Hi Sheila had a look at the knitting pattern can’t wait for my wool to arrive I ordered it Sunday nite it takes 3 days to arrive as I can’t walk out side my breathing not good x
Hi Sheila! I really love your designed rosebud pattern and would really love to use it a bit in a throw I am building for my granddaughter. I am fairly new to knitting anything more than the shawls my grandma had me knit as a way to keep me busy in my younger years. And the time has come to advance. Would you kindly explain the set up to get started in a more remedial form. So how can I space your rosebuds from start to the end row to provide an aesthetic centered look. Thank you for you assistance:) Gabi
i work the rosebud out on graph paper Gabrielle you need to know what the centre stitch will be and work from there so if you have say 101 sts the centre stitch will be 51 the centre st of the rosebud will be at st no 51, if you work outwards on the graph paper to the first st that will tell you what you start with ,you have to have an odd no of stitches for the pattern to come out right, you can place as many sts as you like between the rosebuds say 5, 7, 9, must be an odd no for the ones higher up to fall in the right place, hope you can understand how i have set this out not very good at explaining better at showing..
In this video i have multiples of 10 sts, 5 for the rosebud and 5 inbetween rosebuds, but all depends how many you want between the rosebuds and must have an odd no in the sts between..🤗
the multiples on this video Stacy are 5 sts for the bud and 5 stitches inbetween each bud, so that makes multiples of 10 stitches there must be an odd number between buds, but you can do it larger if you want say 7 stitches between buds would make it multiples of 12 stitches with 6 or 8 rows between each pattern row..
A bit confusing for me as a beginner knitter , first row bud row ok but the placement of the alternating placement of the buds,??? it would be easier with a knitting chart but thanks anyway

I thought I saw the multiples for this either here or on the other video but now do not find it. Can you tell me?
