  • Hey Y'all! Here is a quick and easy way to moisturize and refresh your twist out. This twist out was 5 days old and starting to feel a little dry so I wanted to refresh it to get a few more days. I used
conditioner water and Alikay Naturals Shea Yogurt to achieve this soft, fluffy, moisturized twist out. What do you use to refresh your twist out?
    Thanks for watching!

Love your content... ❤️ I use a leave in with warm water and then I use a little more of whatever styler I use and a mix of Castor and Jojoba oil to seal it in. 😊 I don’t necessarily believe in the LCO/LOC method but man when ever I put some Castor/Jojoba on top it always does the trick lol So I’m definitely a LCO kind of girl whenever I feel like it😂😂😂

Thanks for the love. I don't necessarily like putting extra oils on my hair, but if I do, I prefer the LCO method as well. Thanks for watching!

Hi RaeRae...I enjoy your videos. Your hair texture is very similar to mine. I agree with you regarding putting oil on your hands...it does nothing for me.

Hi @NaturalRaeRae. How do you sleep with your hair once you take down the twists?

Hi Shannen, thanks for the question. it really depends on how I'm feeling and what I want to achieve the next day. For instance, if I'm really tired I will just pull my hair back as if putting into a low ponytail and put a scarf on it tied in the back. Then I'll top that with my bonnet so the hair in the back is not rubbing on my pillowcase. Fluff it out the next day and go. Or if I want less stretch and want to keep more definition, I'll put in 4 small pineapples and put on a bonnet and fluff the next day. And if I need to achieve some definition, sometimes I will just put in jumbo twists and put on a bonnet. It just takes trying a few things to see what works for you and what gives you the desired look you're going for. I hope these suggestions help. Thanks for watching!

Did you do anything during the 5 days to keep the twist out looking fresh and moisturized? Like did you just spray your water and leave in on it? I hope you know what I'm talking about 😊

No, I don't spray my twist outs with anything water based unless it is time to remoisturize. I just sleep in a satin bonnet. My hair will usually stay moisturized for the length of the twist out. If it doesn't, then I do what I show in the video.
