dundermifflin1888 I was thinking the same thing! hahaha
haha i remember her big chop days
Wait she got older too! Lol
Yes! Lol
really don't understand why you don't have much views! your channel has the best informative content on hair . I learn so much from them .
We need to get the word out. GreenBeauty is Awesome!
same i love her videos and her voice
True!! I'm multitexture and she's helped me a lot. Very knowledgeable👍👍
Ukr!!!!
You are awesome ,knowledgeable , I learn a lot from your channel after a lot and a lot of searching thanks a lot ,
So I think the takeaway here is that co-wash is an alternate form of moisturizing your hair not an alternate way to cleanse it. My hair loves co-washing, but I never use it as a substitute for my weekly wash and deep condition. If it works for you, then keep doing it, but cleanse your hair frequently. If it doesn't work, just stick to the LOC method of moisturizing.
Anyway, I always love these videos. They're so informative
Sarita Smith well said 👏🏾
Sarita Smith exactly
Sarita Smith should be called “Co-rinse”.
Thanks! I always felt that co-washing was not a replacement to shampooing. This is great!
This channel is my hair school. It teaches me so much!
Yessss I love it
Yes I feel like I’m an expert any time I’m unsure I come here
💪🏾
Cowashing makes my hair grow like crazy. I use only V05 conditioner 6 days straight. Then on the 7th day I use a clarifying shampoo and deep condition. The entire process makes my curls so defined and soft.
You wash your hair everyday?
For kinkier and curlier hair you have to co wash everyday to keep it moist and hydrated. Is the way it's been explained. Cleanse once a week to get off residue from the week.
@@sonsofelshamy3987 not with shampoo. so it’s not stripping. with only conditioner is basically like re-moisturizing. it’s easier because you’re in the shower and completely wetting your hair so it’s more effective
@@bopbop11 you shouldn't do that everyday, every 2 or 3 days sure but hair doesn't lose moisture that easily, especially when it's very kinky.
@@whatdidhesayyy5358 I didn't say that lol. One of these hair gurus did. Take it up with them!
Boy, i could not stop laughing at that 3-day hair. Haha
hyacinthdibley Sameeeee......omggggg!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
hyacinthdibley 💀💀
Girl I feel like I'm in school for natural hair. Love the videos.
Right! Best video I have seen about co-washing
My scalp is always dry. I think my sebum is broken. I need a new one. 🤣
LOL
It TOTALLY makes sense to me to wash my hair after three days. I can’t even go longer than three days without washing. But then my hair is very fine and curly-the buildup is real, even with minimal product. I just can’t imagine going longer than three days.
OH MY GOSH I'M GOING TO WASH MY HAIR RIGHT NOW!!! This explains why my scalp has not been happy despite moisturizing efforts 😭
thank you for this video!
That' probably why people using Wen went bald. Rubbing the conditioner into the scalp. I co-washed for a while and because of scalp irritation, started using shampoo (helped a lot).
So true about putting conditioner on your scalp. I used to rub in deep conditioner and conditioner on my scalp and then rinse my hair but it made my scalp irritated. Thank you for so many informative and well researched videos.
Breezy Bre Jin 😁
Trapgodhoseok Yes xDD I'm living for your name lmao
Breezy Bre Jin!
***** HOSEOK!!!
I cowash once a week however I wet my hair everyday and I have 4c type hair. That routine works for me, my is never tangled at all😌😌😌😌
PLEASE EDUCATE THESE 4C HAIR GIRLS THAT DON'T HYDRATE THEIR HAIR FOR WEEKS ON END AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT SSKS, TANGLES, FAIRY KNOTS AND BREAKAGE. sorry for the capitals. Human body can't go more than 3 days without drinking water, so why are people letting their naturally dry hair do the same???? People will take more care of their wigs than their real hair it's hilarious
Poochie Loo That comment is very helpful. I may need to wet my hair daily too.
Co-washing made my hair so manageable, I grew and retained so much length in that time period. Super easy to detangle, easy to protein balance. I stopped coz everyone said its bad and I'd damaged my hair, with but my biggest hair regret was stopping cowashing. Lesson learned: Listen to my own hair, not UA-cam
I love you how you debunk myths and make it clear that you don’t have to completely remove things but instead do these things correctly 👏🏽 UA-cam is misleading they have one bad experience and completely eliminate beneficial things. So glad I found this channel
💪🏾
I really love this video alot. I think alot of people have issues with co washing because they're litterally using regular rinse out conditioners to cleanse their hair but I recommend anyone who wants to co-wash to use an actual co-wash cleanser that is formulated to lightly cleanse the hair and scalp because it won't build up on the strands like it would if you use a regular conditioner that's not meant for cleansing impurities and oils.
Correct.
Hi lovely! Thanks for the feature :) I always enjoy watching your videos because they're so informative. I just wish there were more frequent uploads 🙈😄 Lately I've been shampooing my hair more than usual and doing less co-washing every wash day. Great video!
This makes taking care of hair seem so difficult 😭
I have been learning so much on your channel! It's like every question I have is answered in some form or another plus giving me very good information to incorporate, I'm obsessed!
Wow I just finished several months of protective styling and my hair had so much residue after my second wash and go... but it was a cowash. It took 4 clarifying shampoo treatments to get my hair clean. I decided I would shampoo and then cowash on day 3, and then shampoo again on day 7. No more buildup and I swear my hair has grown in two weeks! Now I know why I looooove this channel thanks for the time and research you put in!
This is my 5th or 6th video and this is by FAR one of the best channels on UA-cam, subscribed!
I've recently discovered you. I'm glad you're here The knowledge is awesome. We hear so much in our natural hair journey. I didn't know which was up when I started. Think I'm going to zero in on your videos and in all my getting, get understanding. You are appreciated. THANK YOU :)
You are amazing.. you need ur own television show for natural hair. Your explanation is had research proof.. clear.. and and very easy to understand. Not to mention cartoon girl easy to watch. U make it relaxing to understand such a complex part of our body. Has a 2 year natural I wish I found your videos before I spent sooo much money on products. Thanks for making it so easy to understand 👍🏾
I'm so happy you mentioned NappyFu!! She deserves the recognition.
i cowash my hair in between shampoos... its been REALLY helping me with my dryness....It seems that now I shampoo either twice a month or every other week.
This the first video i’ve watched by you & I already wanna watch every video 🙌🏾 Thank you so much .
Your videos are always so informative and include such great detail! Thank you so much for sharing.
Great Video! I think this is educational and your "scritching" method as well as information on how to keep the scalp clean is a great alternative to co-washing. Goodness knows that method NEVER worked for me. Now I know why. Thanks!
Your channel is so awesome !! Seriously I've been watching video after video and I'm learning so much. Totally appreciating all you share !
Thank you, so that's why my scalp has been itching like crazy it's because I put conditioner on it

Awesome! I bought shikakai and amla and I was looking for videos that would help to use these ingredients, found yours and now I have been watched many of your videos! You are great, thank you for passing your knowledge!!!
I love your videos! So smart, straightforward and warm. ❤
Great videos, always always so full of knowledge.
Another great video!! Thank you so much for keeping us informed!!!
EXTREMELY helpful. Easy to follow
I absolutely love this channel.
Thank you :-)

I co wash with As I Am coconut cleansing conditioner and I have never experienced what's illustrated here. My hair continues to grow and maintains moisture. I also use Zuresh Get it Wet to maintain moisture so I believe that you have to know what's good for your hair in order to get good results. So glad you teach us. Keep up the great videos.
I use carol’s daughter cleansing conditioner and same for me. My hair - and scalp both love it. My hair no longer feels stripped. I think using a cleansing conditioner (one actually *made* for cleaning) is different from using a regular conditioner and calling it ‘cleansing’
Great video. very helpful.
You are absolutely correct! Before watching this video I put conditioner mixed with other ingredients on my hair and I added it to my scalp left it in overnight and now my scalp is itching.
Amazing video!!! Thank you for teaching us!
Thank you so much for sharing this. This is another reason why I don't do co wash no more
KeepinitRealLiz She's already done one about protein treatments. Check her previous videos.
I appreciate this video. I stopped cowashing, as I did for the first 12 yrs of my life. Minus, yanno baby years. But after these last 7 years of not cowashing and waiting for one day to wash my hair, my hair breaks and never grows. So I'm back to cowashing. Crazy how everybodys hair reacts diff! I'm biracial with 3c/3b mix, if anyone is curious. I also use shampoo once a week and deep condition that day. I cowash every two days. I plan to do ACV clarifying once a month.
True your videos are always learn something and HELPFUL!!!! Thanks for that
Very important information, I learned something from this video, which I wish I was aware if earlier. Now I know and will not make this mistake again. Will continue following. Thank you for the knowledge Keep it coming.👍🏼
I think the animation in the VIDEOS are very informative and visually interesting and I also think it's very helpful when engaging adults but definitely kids .
As always, this is a GREAT video! Lol! Love all the information! Thank you and keep on making these videos!
Thank You
Wow I loved this video! Your videos are SO helpful to me being that I am a new natural!
Very interesting and informative thank you so much Sis!!!!🙌🏼👍🏼❤️
I'm super excited to try this!!!
And as always awesome videos and knowledge
Thank You
Amazing video!!! Your videos are so helpful!!!! I noticed this was happening to me but I did not know why.
This video was very informative. I tried co-washing when I first started wearing my hair in its natural state. I didn't like it because I have overactive scalp that needs to be cleansed weekly. It just felt like there was gunk on my scalp. Also there was no noticeable difference in the moisture level of my hair. So now I just clean my hair with a sulfate-free shampoo, use a rinse out conditioner (usually from the same line of products so that I can maintain the pH levels) and deep condition for 20-30 minutes every wash day. Then I use the LOC or LCO method for styling. If necessary, around mid-week I add a lightweight lotion to add moisture.
Very informative !!! Thank you 👍
The closest I ever got to cowashing in the beginning of my natural hair journey was mixing a conditioner with my shampoo. Later on in my journey I would switch to use the coconut cowash from As I Am. Honestly, my head would be itchy after four or five days so I set up a routine to cowash biweekly and shampoo biweekly. Of course, that was when I was desperate to hold moisture in my color treated hair before I big chopped. I think I'll only cowash again once I get my routine on deck, or if I don't use heavy products.
Great animations. Very informative video!!! I followed the channel immediately
Such a good video! So informative!
Great Video! Well explained!
loving the animation.
Hi Green Beauty. This video was very informative.
I co wash to refreshen when I’m not ready to have my wash day yet. I usually co wash mid week like Wednesday’s and then I have my wash day the next week on Friday. I used to wash my hair every week but now it’s every two weeks because my hair felt brittle every week after washing. My hair felt clean and refreshed because I use a coconut based organic conditioner. I leave it on for 15 min under a shower cap and then rinse
You are the best and I love every video you do.
Esto era justamente lo que estaba buscando sobre el co-washing, gracias me ayudó mucho
Loved this I’ve learned so much 🥰!! New subscriber
thanks for posting... I recently stated following your channel and it's very informative
thanks for this video love! Came just in time after finding out protein was in a clarifying conditioner is was using and having issues with products I used afterwards.
I love your videos. I learned a lot from you.
u are soo good at what u do.. and i just wanna thank u
Thank You I really appreciate it :-)
I cowash every other week and end my washing with ACV. My hair is better than it’s ever been. I also don’t use leave in conditioners anymore. I had dry, brittle, tangled hair when I didn’t co wash and used leave ins.
Your Videos are Amazing ! Thank You !
Natural hair is so complicated but thanks for making it simpler
Again a fabulous informative video. Thank you
I really learned a lot. Thanks for info.
u learn something new everyday!!! Thank U!!!!
For there last couple of days I've been watching these videos and I'm like at an "Aawwwwww". As long as I can remember I would put conditioner on my hair and scalp. Thank you, I will not do that any more. You've shown me within in these few days in how to keep up with my hair then majority of videos I've watched that had me question should I continue with my natural journey. Thank you so much.
Very informative! Thank you :)
Pease please do a video on protein treatments. If yes could you please cover the proper way to do them, how to know when you need one and the best type of protein for low porosity? Thanks much!!!

I love clay washing my hair, but I'm not sure how often is too much. I would love to see a video on clay washing. Thanks!
You videos are very informative and the animations wow !
This video is so great!
Great science info!
Am glad NappyFu brought me here. Your videos are great!!!!!!
Thank You ....I love NappyFu she's hilarious !
I never just use water for my cowash. I use distilled water and ACV which is a natural astringent and I add some essential oils to it sometime. then I apply conditioner let it sit and rinse. I never use my nails on my scalp. I'm tender headed and that scratching makes it worse. I love these videos!!!!!!
i looveee the presentation and the animation is too cute
I feel like I haven't seen a video from you in the longest time.
I used to put conditioner on my scalp and after I rinsed it out I used more conditioner😯 I experienced more hair growth during that time than I ever have in my life and my scalp was never irritated 🤔 what do you think about cleansing with ACV ?
ACV is great. She also has a video on it.
