- I've spent a lot of time making fun of this car for being ugly, slow, and driving so very, very poorly. So, when I saw its redesign, I figured I'd better evaluate it for myself. Once they added a little more hp, I jumped inside.
The result?
A great hybrid that's a no-brainer for someone who is EV curious but not ready to take the plunge. But that doesn't mean the 2024 Toyota Prius is without flaws. Join me as I dive inside to explore the good, the bad, and the Come On, Toyota; really?

I just don't understand how the 4th generation Prius Prime was ever green lit for production.
With the 5th generation, it's obvious that they chased Tesla's design language. But the 4th generation was hideous. Toyota had to make their cars look better after that era.

Something about that A-Piller just turns me off, I’m used to it pointing towards the front wheels not over them. I like it, but I don’t.
It makes driving a real drag. It’s the worst part of this car! I had a whole rampage about it but I cut it out..haha!
It's definitely the best Prius Ever from a styling point of view and possibly from a mechanical point of view.
It's a car that's too small for me, I'd never buy. I'd just as soon consider a Tesla Model Y before one of these.

in laws have a Model Y. The ride quality sucks, and the Prius is more comfortable. I'm also 6' and near 200 lbs. I have no space issues with the car, which includes sitting in the back seat. Also, price gap on the MY is very drastic in comparison with the new Prius.
