Fascinating video! The Colt Model 1851 .36 caliber Navy "cap and ball" revolver was produced
from 1850 to 1873. It saw extensive use by both sides during the Civil War (1861-1865). Also
during the Modoc Indian War (1872-1873). It was the .38 Special of it's day. During both the
California and Oregon gold rush during the decades of the 1850's, 1860's, and into the 1870's
it was revolvers (sidearms) like this which defined law and order, protection, and security. An
historical firearm indeed.
