One note about the 'odd-spindle' talking machines: they were basically made to sell at discount prices, so that the purchaser of said machine had to buy the records as well.
Harmony records were remaindered Columbia records that got a new label, a bigger hole, and sold at a discount. I had a vintage wooden adapter many years ago. It got lost. Ditto an adapter that I bought from a guy on Taking Machine Forum about 10 years ago. I have a couple Standards where someone constructed a smaller hole with tape and cardboard. I have now reached the point where I can center the record after only 3 tries! The singer is Billy Murray in a very early performance (1903?) Thanks.
