- Taking a break from console and turntable restoration to go out to my favorite local haunts to see what I could find. There are a slate of thrift shops near me that still take in 78s though they are few and far between. I haven't had a day this good in quite some time, I was beginning to lose hope.
Persistence paid off! How often do you find an EX quality Chess 78 in a thrift shop? And for $.50? I even found some cool $1 lps at a local record shop that I'll bring to school so that the kids can play them on the turntable in the fall. It ended up being a pretty good day costing only around $22.
Brewer and SHipley - Tarkio Road!
I like your presentation, and thanks for showing the 3rd track of that Spinners LP
I found it for 25 cents nearby. Great Johnny Winter picks as well ! 🎵
Joel Whitburn has a series of books that covers records all the way back to the 1890's.
The Nick Lucas is from 1929!
I have 20 flight rock on 78rpm by Eddie cochran its good to look at but i cant play it shame
Lee Andrews is from 1957😅
Victor scrolls were made from mid 20' to mid 30's.
Great snags
very cool to find Eartha Kitt on 78's how do you clean them ?
If you look through my videos here you'll see the one where I use an ultrasonic cleaner that I picked up on Amazon. If you're only cleaning a few then just use a plastic bristle brush in the sink using warm water and dish soap
@@agarso thank you for the info
