Super helpful instructions for lefties. The pace was great! I’m a crochet newbie and you made it seem achievable….and I made my first Sunburst Granny Square! Thanks.
You’re a great teacher! I came to this video 3 separate times now and the first 2 I couldn’t get the puff stitch at all but I came back today with a fresh mind and determined to do it, and I did the whole thing! It’s not perfect but I did it so thank you!
your left handed videos are so so so nice and helpful. ive just started learning granny squares today and this is the third one ive made. granted, its more circular than a square but i learned something new so thank you so much
Thank you so much again!! Especially for the Left Handed version! I was too nervous as a new crocheter to change colors but I did this after completing your granny square video. I look forward to learning and following along with the rest of your videos. Thank you so so much
Absolutely BeautifuL.. JUST love your work.. Pretty colours. "WOW" "INCREDIBLE" HAD TO WATCH A FEW TIMES, TO REDO THE TALENT OF YOUR WORK & HOW YOU DID THAT DOLLIE.. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING MY TEACHER, & TO HELP ME LEARN.
Hi, I finally finished one square and I would like to make it a little bigger, maybe two more rows. Would that work? Which stitch should I use for these additional rows? Thank you.
I’ve realised about 20 squares in that I’ve been doing all my whole row 4 as double trebles 🙃 I plan on making a big blanket with my squares - if I begin to switch to row 4 as you’ve taught in the video, should all squares be okay when sewn together?
hi, i love your tutorials, i've learned from scratch with you for just over a year. i'm currently trying to make a granny square/granny sunburst long cardigan, my question is, do both of your patterns come out the same size to be compatible with incorporating both, into one project? i feel like i should add another round of double crochet four together with 3 chains in between, would this work or is there no need for an extra round? left handed tutorials are fab thanks
You’re welcome, I’m so glad to hear you like them! 😊 I think the best way to find out about the size is to make one of each square with your chosen yarn and hook, as we all have our own personal tension. You can then adjust by adding extra rounds if necessary.
Thank you - I noticed the written pattern says to do 3 half treble crochets in the middle of each side for the 4 the round, but the video states 3 trebles chain 1 until the corner?
Hi there! On first corner, you did not chain one between the 3 treble side before going in to the three double trebles. Is this correct? Or should you always chain one to move over? ◡̈ this is at 14:38! I have been making them following exactly (without chain one before corner) but wanted to know if this was just an error!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention - there should be a chain one to move over which I've omitted by mistake. However, if you've missed this out please don't worry, as it won't make a huge difference overall (there's no need to frog your squares). I'm sorry for any confusion caused! 😊
It's a beautiful square with the different stitches and the colors together make it. It is refreshing to see one that is not a traditional one.
Thank you :)

I've decided on 1 more round in the sunburst granny adding 3 chains in between each, it works great with the granny square , thankyou x
Started this without knowing what a puff stitch was and man that was a killer😭 ended up taking like 3 tries on each stitch
Where did you get this hook? It’s beautiful!!! And looks sturdy. I tend to snap my smaller plastic hooks.
Thank you - I noticed the written pattern says to do 3 half treble crochets in the middle of each side for the 4 the round, but the video states 3 trebles chain 1 until the corner?
