- Proof of time travel? You be the judge. Meet the Buick Wildcat EV Concept. It not only looks ahead of its time, it’s built to be a platform for futuristic features such as artificial intelligence, biometrics and aromatherapy. It’s the kind of forward-thinking that makes it electric in every way possible.

As an owner of a 1964 wildcat. I’m digging this car. Although I wish you implemented the wildcat taillights and emblem.
I’m 64, and I’m glad I have lived long enough to see this new Buick!! Also- you can see the cat in it! Wow!!! ❤🎉
Wow. If that's you in that profile pic, you look smokin' for 64 y/o! 😎
More than a hin of '70s Riviera hiding in there. I love it!
Yes, bring back the big 2-door luxury coup.
As someone who loves Buick history and collects Buicks I want to say its a good start however, GM needs to let Buick have free reign over their product line like they did in the 50s. That is how cars like this Wildcat concept can actually become reality. Buick has a real shot at being a new and cool car manufacturer again everyone the world over will want again IF GM will just allow Buick to do what they have been doing since 1899 - Innovate, Invent, Improve, and Create!
how is this not innovative and creative how many other cars parallel park itself this is definitely a big step up especially since everything’s going electric now
That’s not how GM works. Same platforms, same engines same a pillars.
@@2steaksandwiches665 I'm not talking about shared platforms. If I need to spell it out for you then its a waste of time as you would know exactly what I am talking about. "Curtains over eyes plays the fool wise" am I right?
@@308RoadReady The point is General Motors will never let a manufacturer run free. They produce the same homogenized mediocre products that are not ever really the most competitive in their class. I have owned General Motors cars and always found them to be perfectly acceptable. Nothing amazing. I am a luxury car buyer at this point in my early 40s and Cadillac offers me absolutely nothing I am interested in. Bottom line is the accountants take over and that’s why you get products like the Chevy Malibu, any Buick that is available today, etc. i’m not sure how old you are but anyone from generation X or younger has absolutely no understanding or cares what Buick did in the 1950s. Those are grandparents cars. And they are dead. I highly doubt that if Buick was able to run free that anyone under the age of 50 years old right now would care. And maybe they would but it would take decades. My generation grew up on imports. Buick could disappear like Olds and nobody would care.
The details that give a nod to the classics look perfect. Great concept.
Definitely a gorgeous car, but Buick always puts out attractive concept vehicles. Unfortunately they usually never make it to production, not sure why. Hopefully they prove me wrong
@Randy Roberts I would appreciate if they sold an actual SUV like the Escalade or Yukon. Call it the Buick Estate or something. Instead it's a bunch of CROSSOVERS 😭
@Randy Roberts I can admit that as far as crossovers go, the refreshed Envision and Enclave are nice to look at
@Randy Roberts true 🤣🤣🤣
@Randy Roberts all Badge Engineered crossovers, may I add.
As nice as that would be, Buick is not often about taking market risks.
I really hope this makes it. This is incredible. GM has been doing great with electric stuff
@Antionitonio Bianchinitio Which cars do you believe look good, because everyone has their own tastes
@Antionitonio Bianchinitio the i8 looks pretty cool you can’t deny
Very well done Buick, I can only hope the production version is this nice
I've got a '63 Wildcat, and I'm thrilled about this one. I'm not an EV fan at all, but if this went into production I'd purchase it without hesitation.
Beautiful Design!!
American car manufacturers have great design styling, but at the end, they don't build these cars.
Americans buy foreign cars because they’re design is forward thinking, stylish and offers great performance.
Gorgeous. Wish it was going into production!
Great Job Buick Team! Awesome coup, I hope some version makes it to market. I love you built a concept car for those of us who reject 100% EUV mantra. Got to love those tires!!! :)
I AM SO GLAD THE COMPANY HAS NOT ABANDONED THE NAME.
THIS NEW WILDCAT HAS AN IMMEDIATE CACHE. AN AMERICAN ALL-ELECTRIC THAT PUTS THE WORLD ON NOTICE, I DEFINITELY WOULD PAY MORE FOR SOMETHING THAT CAME OUT OF DETROIT. MUSK HAS HIS JAW ON THE FLOOR. GREAT JOB, BRING 'EM
Incredible ! best looking electric car hands down !
As a previous owner of a 1969 Buick Wildcat, with my 430 Windsor loved that power. Please think about put the Wildcat symbol at least on the center rim, and for the original Wildcat to alumnae onto the ground when you open doors...Ijs😊 Such a beautiful car.
Very nice. The problem is that it's a concept that will never see production as is. I think you should keep the body style because that is the future of design.
I'd be ok with some changes on the interior since we know it would be too expensive to mass produce.
But every time I see these concepts...I'm like..yes..make that. Thisnis what people want and then the manufacturer goes in a complete opposite direction
Typically yes but what I’ve seen recently especially with GMs new electric cars. They’re all very similar to the concept cars. What Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac have shown us as concepts have came remarkably similar in the full production models. Quite impressive really
This comment aged like milk
I want it, beautiful vehicle
Do it for the Lesabre! It would be a hit!
All those fun futuristic technology things including EVs will be like in the sci fi movies like Total Recall, Demolition Man, CyberPunk, Blade Runner, Robocop and Terminator. Very exciting and fun things.
The Buick Johnny Cab
Wildcat? Seems like the Buick Electra would be a better name for an electric car. Still great to see this kind of innovation coming from the brand.
That's a nice looking Buick electric car. I'm a big fan of EV stuff and futuristic technology stuff. Everything will be like in the sci fi movies that are about futuristic things. What if there will be Buick Wildcat EV police cars? Robocop will like to drive one. What if somebody that are like The Terminator will like to drive EVs?
Please make this car. My Grandfather had a Wildcat after WWII and I would like to continue the tradition.
Sold. I'll Take 2!
this is an amazinnnnngggg carrrrrr i love it 🥰🥰
No Grand National or Riviera reboot, huh GM? Bring those 2 back and they won't have to try to appeal to the younger crowd..
When are you going to bring the Grand National back ?
What about you focus on building a car that can be produced and sold at a competitive price ?
Please release this❤️
The roofline reminds me of the saab 9-x air i saw several years ago, a great design.
Absolutely gorgeous lines! Hope production vehicles carry through on this concept.

If this did a 0-60mph in around 3 seconds or less, I would definitely purchase this.
How much is it and I want it cool space ship. In my real opinion this is a car to show how far we have come with technology and ideas.
Companies need to start releasing the concept version of their cars theyre more desirable than their production counterparts
Whoa! This is gorgeous. I never buy American, but if this car goes to market, I’m in.
We're going to have to find out when this concept will be in production for sale and sale price and date of production.
Can’t wait to buy one
It's sexy. The exterior reminds me of the Crystler 300 wagon
And it will be on the road in ...3....2....1....Never! But would love to be proven wrong. GM is quick to disappoint when it comes to production cars and the Buick brand. How about a modern Grand National while you're at it?
I honestly thought after seeing the success of the charger and challenger Buick would bring back their monster grand national
I haven't bought a GM car in decades, but if you build this I will buy one.
Beautiful!!!
Get yours now 30 year mortgages available at a low rate?
I hope this makes it to market. However, I have one small issue. Why didn’t you call it the Rivera?
This is a beautiful piece of artwork. FYI BUICK.....Please Please Please don't change ANYTHING about this vehicle I would stand in line to buy it as is.
Looks a lot like the Saab Aero X concept car before they dissolved.
almost perfect
Good work Buick! bright future ahead. Remember, all wheel drive!!
This is a car I would buy, if only it comes to fruition❤
Nice work guys and while you're at it, could you build an electric sedan and call it...wait for it...the Buick Electra?
Genial....una obra maestra del diseñador y tecnólogia 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow, fantastic!👏👏👏👏👏
Chapeau!
Timeframe and price? Is this a year away? Or five years? I’m getting ready to buy in the next year or so. Should I wait?
Thanks for reaching out, Jim. If you’d like to get in contact with someone from our customer care team, please reach out to socialmedia@gm.com with the subject headline "ATTN: Jim Pratt Buick UA-cam". From there, an advisor would be more than happy to assist you further.
Crazy that grandparents will be driving THIS in 80 years!
Please i would love this
I love it. But I know I won't be able to afford it.
These big car manufactures have a special knack for designing awesome concept cars like this one, and then dumbing down the design. The final product is usually way less cool. If Buick's smart, it'll release it as-is.
Your gonna need a 1000+ social credit score to drive this
Great looking concept indeed!
American companies are joint stock companies, but in many cases the founder's family is not inherited, and the board of directors and management changed. It is not a limited company, and sometimes difficult to understand.
Wildcats are a classic, but don't get it crooked, we like every part well designed, not just the shadows
I want!
Can you please put a v12 as an option? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
$?
🔥Beautiful🔥
Pretty cool
This makes me consider leaving Lexus for Buick, and that takes a lot. Amazing job.
Way to go Buick. Way to release another gorgeous concept that you have no intention of building. This is the first non-Tesla EV car I find attractive (sorry Cadillac Lyriq), yet it's in the Ash can as a possibility before it even has had a chance to breathe. So Bravo. You build great concepts, but your real cars leave everyone wondering if you hired leftover Saturn designers.
OUT F**KING STANDING!! 😍
Exterior looks great except you might as well knock the mirrors off. Interior seems like they're trying to hard, especially those pedals for one.
the body design alone is a winner
Cool. It looks a lot like the Keonigsegg Gemera.
The car buyer is tired of 'concepts'. They mean absolutely squat. GM has rarely delivered concept to market, a proven failure, time and again, in meeting, never mind exceeding, consumer demand. Take the Chevy Volt. The concept was cool, sleek and inspiring; the production version was a laughable flop. Get with the program, GM, and deliver concept-to-market, or continue to watch Polestar, Tesla, VW, and even Ford relegate you to an historic automotive footnote.
Buick never brings their awesome future designs to market. It's a real shame
it will probably just be sold in China like all their actual GOOD cars
Nope,Buick is just like the beautiful female tease at your local bar.Trying to get as many free drinks as possible but have no intentions of giving you a date.
Buick needs to bring back their coupes and sedans. I havent really liked the SUVs.
I can't believe you guys spelled Bob BONIFACE's name wrong! He's a great designer. I hope your vehicles are engineered with more attention to detail!
Where do I pre order? Haha I'll sell my kidney for this car
Definitely think electra name would fit this car amazing
make this a reality and ill be a buick customer easy
MY car eye look
I really like my Encore.
I really liked the Buick Avista much better. Please build the Avista!
Looks so much better than a tear dropped Tesla. This but without the roof wing would be a massive win over Tesla.
When its put to market itll be raised up not wide and little rims, you already make that general motors, its called the volt
The Volt went out of production in 2019.
I wonder if a car like this ever comes out, if it will cost as much as the Celestiq.
Make more cars 🙏 bring back 2 door cars
Ah, it's a Concept!! XD
I thought Buick finally did a comeback
Unless the same concept gets into production the brand is very much dead
What a joke trying to buy back your glory with a Toy that you claim will not be the final result
The Buick I remembered was doing real business, not a Wooden case with a raspberry pi
as you said: making limitless possibilities a reality
I don't see a reality here, just a show
Prove me wrong Buick
This was one of my childhood favorite brand
That's a spaceship
DUDE, don't make THIS CAR just to have this as a concept RELEASE IT AS IS!!!
Now if they could get a cushy, float the road soft quiet ride I'd buy one tomorrow.
You had me up until the interior. It looks like somebody had an an obsession with retro-futuristic 1950’s car interiors. It looks uncomfortable, like sitting on bones. Nothing about the interior looks inviting. The new logo is a nice upgrade though. I’d keep that and start over on everything else.
