Keen has sneakily updated ricochet mechanics in the Automatons update!

I wonder if we will see any mods that take advantage of these new variables to make weapons with higher chance of deflection thus creating a collateral damage canon of sorts.

That rather convenient, as I am building. PvE ship with slopped heavy armor. Of course the slopped armor “into the engine” around my large hydro engines to make it look cool might be a bad thing…

On top of the fact that this is realistic, as chemical projectiles can not ricochet, I see this as a pretty nice change.

@@Ghent_Halcyon well it doesn't ricochet but if it hits the armor at an odd angle the power is greatly reduced. The jet neets pretty precise angle and distance to the target to properly form and penetrate
wait so angling armor is actually usefull now?
but can you ricochet a shell that already is a ricochet
and how many ricochet would it take for the shell to competely stop
a shell can only ricochet as much as its health allows.
so with the stats, it's 2 ricochets maximum for assault and arty
Now I wonder if you can make a loop that ricochets the bullet back to the gun.
Or a bell shapped shield to send shots back to the senders.
Hey man. One content creator to another, you could up your volume quite a bit. Ads are stupid loud compared to your audio. That’s not your fault, but I turned up the volume to hear you better and when an ad popped up it about ruptured my ear drums. Nice video though!

Yes, but it kind of glitchy.
it was a side effect of the physics engine
there was no real 'mechanic' so to speak
now there are actual tangible things you can change to affect ricochet}
also, old 'ricochet' was just basically the shell following the slope/angle than actual deflection lol

I wish you guys would stop saying meta, it's stupid, especially out of context and with wrong meaning. It's supposed to be a place like the ether as in like ethereal as so metaphysical. It's not a fad, infact it's infamous and it sucks so please stop sucking.

Oh no, bullets don't work anymore. Guess I'll keep making missiles and stealth bomb craft
