    Should really pull out the pins and clean/grease them. You will get uneven wear if the grease is dirty or old. Otherwise, simple to do. I recommend getting the slide pin boots as well. Will save you a headache down the road.

    The brake line can slide off that little assembly and be slid back in. Allowing you to only take out the top screw and loosen the bottom one. To lower the caliper and change the brakes

    What do you mean by always pump break pads before driving?

    • @Flashback502
      @Flashback502  6 років тому +6

      Giseelle Arredondo After changing brake pads you should pump your brake padel with your foot atleast 5 times in park b4 you start driving.

    Is everything the same for the rear pads? Also, I won't need a c clamp will I , because the new pads are thicker?

    • @Flashback502
      @Flashback502  6 років тому +1

      edward dominguez thanks for watching yes it's pretty much the same, u may need to push calipers bac in because new brake pads or thicker and may not fit back down over rotors. Please Subscribe, share and hit the bell and check out my other helpful videos.

    The title of the video states this is the method for all those years, however, are pads different? I am looking for the 2016 pads on a specific brand and they only have the Sonic 2015, they are different, right? Hope you can get back to me on this. Thanks for the tutorial!

      Hi thanks for watching the pads for the 2016 may be different but the process to change them shoud be about the same, to find out for sure on the pads I would call an auto zone and ask them to cross reference on the pads for 2015 and 2016. Thanks Please Subscribe.

    • @tituscampbell1628
      @tituscampbell1628 6 років тому +3

      Giseelle Arredondo itll get the air out its a different way of bleeding them because when u originally change them the brake pedal will go all the way down so you pump it to build up pressure

    • @CreoleRedd
      @CreoleRedd 9 місяців тому

      He forgot to tell u that u need a C Clamp to push the caliber back….u pump your brakes to get out the air in the brake line so that the caliber pushes the brakes pads on the rotors to stop the car…
