My oldest son stopped by while I was watching this and he was amazed. I was telling him about your channel and he said he was going to go home and sub. He also has a bunch of sprues that he doesn't know what to do with. Thanks for the video! :)
I've made little brick walls from sprue before. I built a Tellyporta out of sprue, some spare ork bits, scrap plastic, and dense polyfoam. I love it. Great video!
Fantastic video, I loved that you showed making them in real time with no steps left out. It shows that they are quick and easy to make showing how we can make them too.
Have you thought about trying sprugoo casting again? With sprugoo 2 you could try coating the inside of the mould and then spudging in the spruegoo? Maybe a better finish
If you stick three circles on one of these triangular panels, it could make for a makeshift Nurgle effigy-banner for all your plague cult terrain needs
Me encanta que ya tengas el doblaje en Español eso es muy considerado y sobre todo con ese nivel de contenido, haz un tutorial de kill team o habla más de orcos
Since I'll be starting my Traitor Guard army this year (getting a bunch of kits from Wargames Atlantic's recent crowdfund campaign), I'm going to not only have a massive influx of models, but sprues for them. Might use the trick about the brick walls as part of my Heavy Weapons Teams or Field Ordinance Batteries, as ruined corner pieces behind which the big guns are posted. I also have an idea for my Drukhari army, since I base those with chunks of sprue buried in texture paste, like rusty metal or power conduits. I'm thinking a kitbashed Succubus, using one of the Wych bodies meant to ride on one of the vehicles. Have her hanging off a ruined pillar of scrap, made from a couple chunks of sprue glued together. That might be fun.
Lol, I did this back in the 90s as a kid. May even have got the idea from White Dwarf magazine suggesting it, they were very into conversions DIY stuff back in the day.
I took one of those Grey Knight walkers & made it into a Demon Engine but...Parts of it really needed some demon hide/flesh & maybe even wings. Sprue Goo will be the Answer. Plus I've been collecting the pieces for Warp Form Corax & all the wings out there. Fail to meet the vision but sprue goo again maybe the answer.... Btw I knew there was a reason I've kept every sprue since 1997.
man i saw this and all i could think of is "OMG that is *genius*... how much of an idiot am I to have never thought of cutting those little sticks into little bricks and/or rocks..."
Sweeeeet! Your Sprue wizardry continues to impress. Have you ever made a sprue Ballista? I bet it would turn out really good especially if you found some curvy sprue for the bow part.
that was mint, thanks Question: while the goo is still soft, do you think you could use a brick texture roller over a sheet of baking paper to leave an impression?
If the hardened sprue goo didn’t come out as expected, can you re-melt the hardened goo & try again? I left some pieces to dry and I made them too thin so the acetone bubbles caused them to turn into something similar to aero chocolate and they are now too brittle to do anything with.
Loved this and the last one too I especially liked the green sprue pieces as energy coils even went looking for some on eBay but didn't really know what to put in the search bar. Do you remember what you wrote?
Transfer Paper works good for terrain You'd need a really high quality printer for it to work for other stuff. I only say that cuz most people have a higher standard than me. I was able to print Raven Wing images, spray the paper with several layers of clear coat & get them on my stormraven. Looks great. Plus I was able to copy transfers, copy right "Heresy" I know and that's a clue. The backing came out pinkish but that printer quality related and once I treated the paper & put them on models. You can F-ing tell the difference...Heresy Transfers are getting expensive. They are free now.
Thats a good odea. Sprues do seem very wasteful. Lickily i dont have that problem as i dont collect Games Workshop products. But for those who do this seems like a very good alternative use. 👍🏻
It occurs to me that you are using acetone for sprue goo while mostly I see people using plastic cement for sprue goo. Is that simply a matter of cost-effectiveness? Or is there more to it? I suppose plastic cements might often have some acetone in them.
you got me thinking, instead of sprue goo to make wall layers for the sprue frames i realised i have a ton of flat plastic from empty food containers and such, the bottom of meat packets and such, only question is will it take paint ok.
When you talk about how old Melted plastic can be I made some the first time I saw you do it on video so I think it’s three years old and it’s still good as new So you can save it for a long time just remember to fill up with acetone

ahh thats awesome, I hope he has fun making things 😊
printing out little posters is a great idea, ive never seen anyone do that before

Those sprue-bricks are inspiring... But I can't pick a favourite, all of the options came out great.
Cheers bud 😊
awesome, those bricks are such a quick and easy idea. good job
Quick and easy is always good 😊
Fantastic video, I loved that you showed making them in real time with no steps left out. It shows that they are quick and easy to make showing how we can make them too.
Cheers, yeah some didnt take long at all 😊
Lovely work. Sprue terrain should be a staple in every wargamer’s mini cabinet.
You might know this trick already but you can use thin cardstock, popsicle sticks and similar as guides to get uniform thickness with your roller.
K ow
Ahh yes that would work well 😊
@@gatorking4953 thats the new spelling pass it allong.
The K is silent, the N is invisible.
Absolutely fantastic terrain, I built some brick walls years ago for my son's guard to hide behind, but I love the panel walls
I've always loved your sprue videos. Good stuff!
Cheers, more coming 😊
That brick wall is stellar. I gotta keep that one saved in the memory bank
Pile of opertunity is my new name for my pile of shame, lol. Love that
Gotta build and paint those models, so you can get to harvesting the sprues!
@Bluecho4 already working on it 👍
You're a genius
Too kind 😊
Have you thought about trying sprugoo casting again? With sprugoo 2 you could try coating the inside of the mould and then spudging in the spruegoo? Maybe a better finish
Sprue goo 2 would work better but would also work out a lot more expensive 😊
Super impressed with all of these actually
Cheers 😊
Not my style but I love that you make the videos.
I am considering a fully sprue-cron army
I’m freaking out over sprue-goo, so many possibilities!
If you stick three circles on one of these triangular panels, it could make for a makeshift Nurgle effigy-banner for all your plague cult terrain needs
Ahh, I might try that 😊
The best video i have seen for give a real use to all that plastic that we have
Totally inspiring. I am a fan of slapchop and upcycling sprues and other stuff. Well done sir❤
I'd probably suggest coating the cardboard in pva or mod podge to make it more durable but awsome video
Me encanta que ya tengas el doblaje en Español eso es muy considerado y sobre todo con ese nivel de contenido, haz un tutorial de kill team o habla más de orcos
ahh thank you, Im gladded it is dubbed 😊
Y lo agradecemos bastante @@MiniatureHobbyist
I love the creativity with sprues!!!

This is great, very creative, thank you to sharing this with us, and for the inspiration
That's easy, creative and funny! Thanks!

Oh cool 😊
never thought of this, really cool and helpful
Bro....Sprue goo....Night Lords...Go. oh oh oh oh the fleshy Necrons!!!!
Thank you, didn't even realise this was an option until now

its the simple things that are best 😊
That wall is a good idea looks like a real wall. I used sprue bits to make a cobble stone style path for WW2 marine scene.
Cool, sprues are great for floors 😊
Totally Rocks!
awesome 😊
Where is the best place to get empty
sprues from?
Impressed with your work 😊😊
Thankyou 😊
Sweeeeet! Your Sprue wizardry continues to impress. Have you ever made a sprue Ballista? I bet it would turn out really good especially if you found some curvy sprue for the bow part.
Cheers, oh I havent but might give that a try 😊
that was mint, thanks
Question: while the goo is still soft, do you think you could use a brick texture roller over a sheet of baking paper to leave an impression?
Question: would a pasta rolling device work for making Sprueglue sheets? Or is it to sticky for that? Great video btw. 😁😁

type this in Games Workshop Warhammer Templates Blast Green Necrons 😊
Cool Merry Christmas 🎄
Thankyou, and the same to you and your family 😊
Well done!
Oh mannn good stuff! I gotta try this!
Yeah go for it 😊
Great work
Cheers 😊

What was in your flock box for the brick base?
Okay you’ve inspired me , time to get my box of sprues into something useful lol
Have fun 😊
Fun project - Keep up the amazing videos
thank you so much 😊

Very nice tips !! thanks
Glad to be of help 😊
Exactly why I keep my sprews😊
Cool 😊
Fuck it ima make my own terrain for kill team, these ideas are amazing thanks dude
I call shennanigan! It's not really the sprue the plague marines shown in the video came on! It should be green. :D
huh lol 😊
Awesome vid !
Cheers 😊

If it doesn't maybe using some sandpaper first on it might let the paint stay on better.
@@LazykidsWorld good point, never thought of that thanks
Use a good primer and yup 😊
I don't suppose you've got any ideas for storage foam terrain? I've got a bag full to use up!
I have loads tto but not enough room to build a big diorama/board 😊
What liquid do you use to melt your spruces and also what brand?
Its acetone and I get the cheapest but make sure it is 99% 😊
@ thanks
Where do you get your clippers?
they are army painter clippers 😊
Would be possible to use plastic GW paste with silicon molds?
I would have thought so but would work out very expensive for the cement glue 😊
Save your sprew, and the hobby, excellent.
this hobby is awesome 😊
Live by the sprew, die by the sprew
haha yup 😊
100k hype
Have you tried any panels or casting with the mark 2 sprue goo? I wonder if you'd get the same bubbling issue with it.
Its a lot better but would work out very expensive for the cement glue 😊
Another way that your sprue builds are 'Orky'..... even if they don't seem to make sense, they just...work 🤷 😉
Gotta love Orks 😊
Was that a Fallout poster i saw? 😂
Yep 😂
yup and I cant wait for the second season 😊
make a killa kan pleas.
That is definently on my lists 😊
But can you also use Warhammer sprues to make Warhammer 40k scatter terrain?
Thats a toughie, let me check, haha, Happy new year 😊
please sire for the love of plastic. single blade nippers.....
Vine buscando cobre y encontré oro
no building in warhammer games need to be neat or precies, its all war :P
🥰❤️
well i guess for shithammer 40k, every kind of kiddo "craft" can works

Haha that is so cool, it will last forever 😊
Warhammer IS gettin too expensive that we have to reuse every part of plastic 😂❤
Yeah I paid for all of that sprue so Im gonna use all of it lol 😊
