As a relative beginner to woodworking, I wish I had seen this video before I bought my circular saw. Sure it is portable, but there are portable table saws. The main difference then is price. Circular saw is far cheaper than the table saw. Even so, for the types of projects I have in mind, the accuracy of a table saw is what I will need. I'm now in the market for the portable table saw because I don't have space for a non-portable one. I can see my circular saw going up on sale.
Just noticed this channel is relatively new with new content! One new subscriber for sure.....! Thank you very much for your extremely valuable time ❤ Love from the uk. Still not sure about trump tho man ?🤔🙈❤
Very new youtuber but very informative and great content. In some aspects this channel is better than some more established channels. This channel is alot more of a friendly homely atmosphere. Please keep up the good work. Ps the cameraman should be paid for his work🤣
@@SawsHub I had to comment specifically for the camera work, it's great, none of the schizophrenic jump cuts that pollute UA-cam these days. The gradual closeups when appropriate were excellent, didn't see a need for the off-camera stage directions that were kept in the vid, but I really enjoyed watching.
Helpful. How do you feel about a circular saw with a track? That’s what my brother who does woodworking recommended. I am looking for the right set up for small scale DIY projects such as shelves, a small bench, garden stuff, etc.
Sure, in essence that is a track saw, which has a lot of merits. Here is our video comparing the Track Saw vs Circular Saw: ua-cam.com/video/8v7t4SWNjpI/v-deo.html
Im looking into buying a saw and im debating between table saw and miter saw. The biggest concern I have is price. I only have about $300 to spend on a saw and I know I can get an excellent miter saw for $300 but not a very good table saw for that price. What are your thoughts
It really depends on your needs for what you'll use the saw for. With that being said, I would opt for a table saw ... (I don't currently even have a miter saw). We have an article to help you weigh your options: sawshub.com/miter-saw-vs-table-saw/ Also, there are plenty of great table saws in your price range: sawshub.com/best-table-saw-under-300/
The table saw is more dangerous in my opinion for beginners. 1) Pushing the material through means your finger are closer to the blade. Pushing sticks that usually comes with the saw are a kick back risk when not used properly 2) Table saw kick back is like a bullet heading towards you. Circular kick back is the saw in you hand leaping at you. You still have more control than a flying piece of wood that is not in your hand. 3) Worst of all, it is very tempting to reach over the blade on the table saw to grab pieces.
All those points are very valid. Keep in mind, both saws are dangerous. But, with a table saw, provided you follow the basic safety procedures, you will stay safe. With a saw in your hand, though, it is inherently dangerous.
They both have circular blades that are powerful, and both are inherently dangerous. However, with proper usage and safety precautions, a table saw is safer because you can keep your hands and body further away from the blade.
@@SawsHub Thanks for the tips on safety, I only have jigsaw so far, planning to get either circular saw or table saw. Was about to purchase M12 circular saw but then i found Makita combi table/miter saw but still nervous on safety.. this really helps. Im getting the Makita.
If you can only have one, circular, mitre or table saw.....and you were going to be building a whole lot of ONE thing--you're building 100 of something for your summer job. which would you go with???
This is exactly the explanation I was looking for! Very helpful! Thank you for your work!
You're very welcome!
Excellent video. Straight to the point, no BS. Appreciate it, new sub!

Hi! Very informative video. Would you say that for repairs and small projects around the house, the best option is a table saw?
Thank You for the video. I am learning a lot from your videos. Greetings from Berens River, Manitoba, Canada.

SawsHub DIY Woodworking Tips thanks for the reply, great video!
I think you missed a spot in the editting there chief
Enjoyed.
Thanks!
Wow! Thanks 🙏 I bet I can just buy the table saw and avoid getting a miter saw. It seem that the table saw kills two birds with one stone.
We honestly hardly ever use our miter saw

Table saw is better i think, just more expensive

Thanks for the sub!
Surprised to hear the table is safer, seems so much more dangerous.

Good!
In the hands of a pro the circular saw can be very accurate I only use a circular saw

which would you go with???
My choice: either table saw or circular saw. I would prefer a table saw because, more often than not, I'm able to bring the job to the table.
