45:47 this part helps articulate what I've found in my education about foundational oppressionism being bourgeois/recuperation. For those unfamiliar with the term "foundational oppression" think in terms of reductionism, but reduced all the way (which is why "reduction" was considered a softer term for course correction). Seriously, if "radical" means to the "root" then it usually implies this sort of thing as opposed to intersectionality. Like back circa 2002 my classmates were told to choose a cause basically, like this work is describing. So feminism, racism, childism, were all like separate flavors we were *told to choose 1 of. My attempt to articulate intersectionality but still conforming to this was to say biological essentialism was the foundational oppression, but of course that was still wrong. Anyways, this sort of thing is how we got Lifetime vs BET vs Nickelodeon when it came to TV channels.
I’m currently recording part 3 of The Wretched of the Earth, but it’s super long, so I’ll take a break to do Mutual Aid (out of town for a couple days, but I’ll try to have it up in four)!
Figured I'd update you, I'm recording part 2 right now, but I didn't realize how long it was. I should hopefully have it up in a matter of days. Sorry for the delay!
Section 2 - Mutual Aid, Not Charity 33:50
Section 3 - We Get More When We Demand More 51:03
Thank you comrade

Strap in; it's a long one!
Fuck, I didn't notice the blooper at the end on my first listen. That was unexpected.

Is that him critiquing himself at the end of the audio or someone else?
That’s me, not Dean Spade.
@@AudioAnarchy Oh ok, sorry.
