    Thanks so much for your video!! Greetings from manchester. I'm literally sitting beside the elderberry tree in the park next to my house, watching your video. Nicely explained🌿🙂

    (gasp) Elderberries?

    My problem when doing it this way is the micro stems that are still attached to the berry. If I removed each one manually, my berries start defrosting and get mushy. Any tips for dealing with pesky miscrostems?

    Thanks for the demo on elderberries! Do you ever sell your frozen berries at farmers market or online? Do you sell any of your elderberry value-added products?

    Thank you for the video. If I don't have enough to make anything yet, how should I store the berries I've removed from the stems? I have a dehydrator, but I've never used it yet.

    If they are ripe it's easy to roll them off without a complicated process.

    I’ve heard to not eat them or no more than a few and I’ve heard you can’t eat the seeds.

    Can you use the half to 3/4's ripened fruit?

    • @normsfarms2766
      @normsfarms2766  9 років тому +2

      No. Only the darkest purple or black berries should be used. Avoid red and especially the green ones. They will ruin what ever you make.

    Is it true that I shouldn't harvest the berries from first-year plants?

      Best to pinch flowers off so they don't produce berries in the first place, The flowers are quite useful. normsfarms.com/blogs/growing-and-harvesting-elderberry/harvesting-elderflowers Here a re a few recipes. normsfarms.com/search?type=article&q=elderflowers
