I know he didn't win any trophies, but Keegan's spell as manager, with the Entertainers' exciting brand of football, and making the club a major force again, having been in the doldrums for years, it was still a very special time for the club and fans alike. Ruud then used his contacts and reputation to get Zola, Vialli, Di Matteo over, which eventually got them Champions League football, which got them Abramovic, which led to trophies, cups, and leagues. Alas, Ruud didn't get Newcastle the way Sir Bobby, or Keegan, did.
