@jdontcare8520 The GX2 is billed to be the replacement of the G2c with the GX series replacing the G series. It already costs more than the G2c so its not more affordable even by the current street/dealer price. Since many of us are already invested in the proven G series this may be a mistake but time will tell.
@@rbm6184this will probably be sold at the same price as the old G series at local shops. I was able to snag my GX4 Carry for $280 at my local rural king mean while a G3C was still being sold at $230. This isn’t something that’s going to be 100+ more than the older designs after a few months. Improved trigger, better ergonomics, and increased magazine capacity this is a no brainer for those who want to get into firearms but don’t want something like the GX4 Carry.
I currently carry a G3c and absolutely love taking it to the range. I like the look of this one. I'll have to see if my range has a loaner available in the near future if I ever decide to upgrade.
@ I’ve put close to a 1000 rounds through that gun by now not a single issue no misfires jams nothing it was $250 out the door less than half for a new Glock not saying they make the best guns but they do make the best cheap guns
@nicholastarabori2657 I tell everyone because of how much better it made my G2C, but check out Keep Tinkering triggers. He has them in different shapes and sizes. They come in SA/DA like stock or in SAO. They are $30 and install in about 45 minutes. I installed the SAO "Standard" trigger and absolutely love it. It moves the break forward so that it isn't akward to pull the trigger. It reduced takup and eliminates the restrike, making it a very nice single action trigger. The slightest press check can still put it in DAO, though.
I am a life long supporter of Taurus. The few that I own GC3, and the P85 are quite reliable. You do need to find the right hollow points to carry though. The GC3 feeder ramp needs to be reengineered I think
Had a GX4 Carry TORO. After 150 rounds the extractor blow out. Warranty took care of it, but I couldn't seem to trust it after and sold it. So I am hesitant on getting another Taurus.
I own a PT709 Slim for 8 years, put around 1,000 rounds and no a single issue. I also have the G2C for 4 years and put around 400 rounds, and I only had one issue, and it was a defective bullet . I love both of my guns .
It looks like some big improvements over the G3c, handle fills up the hand more while the overall dimensions have been reduced, yet the barrel length is now a bit longer. I enjoyed the G3c's restrike and the three magazines with the pinky ledge, but I would say the trade off appears worth it to have an overall better form design.
IDK if I'd say "big" improvements over the 3c. The back strap looks more comfortable, but is it interchangeable for various hand sizes? I use the mec gar 15 round mags in the 3c and it helped the feel for me a lot but I'd still like a thicker back strap. Other than that, this video didn't really seem to sell me over the g3c
I own the G2C, the G3C TORO (even have it in my carry rotation), was looking at purchasing a GX4 TORO or GX4XL TORO. I wish you all would make this with the "TORO" option. That said, impressive, will have to check one out at the range!✌
Ever since the CEO of product and development from Walther took over at Taurus they have been on fire with the gx4 winning Gun and Ammo magazines gun of the year in 2022 and then the gx4 carry model Forced Sig to step there game up on there 365 line
But why would they drop a 13rnd capacity gun?! Unless it's replacing the G2c & G3c , it doesn't make since... 🤷🏼♂️ If it's slim then their crapping on the Gx4... I don't get it
I will say this much, $300 GX2 costs more than a $200 - $250 G2c and the street/dealer price as of now is in the $330 range so they are not making it more affordable. Like others have said, many of us are already invested in the G series and don't need the GX2. This may be a mistake switching to the GX series and not to keeping the already proven G series. Time will tell.
It should cost more. It’s a new release that people are willing to spend more on. And of course it’s a better gun. The g series have been around a long time and date back to the 90s as they’re based on the pt111. Why wouldn’t you pay more for something better?
My God every time I turn around they're coming out with a new one that's better than the last oh now the last ones no good you got to get this one flavor of the week. I bought enough of their products where they should give me this on the house 🏠.
Unfortunately 40 isn't a priority for most manufacturers anymore. Taurus might do it though. I prefer 9 in a subcompact like this, but if they scaled this up to a 4 inch barrel compact/full size, 40 would be a great option.

Anyone that's old enough to remember it's like that block of government cheese you would get once in a while, it wasn't the greatest but it did the trick 😂.
That was 3 minutes of Taurus not saying anything substantive about the gun nor where it fits in the Taurus lineup. The GX2 is (more or less) a GX4 with 2 additional rounds, or a GX4 Carry minus 2 rounds. Makes no sense. Seems that sticking with the GX4 and an extended mag is the way to go. Then you can go smallish with 11+1, or a little bigger with 13+1.
I like that they have a thumb safety. You just know the {{target demographic}} is going to pocket carry these without a holster😂 Plus its inexpensive enough you can just buy a new one when it inevitably falls off a bridge

Physically the gx2 should be an easier shooting gun. I think this will be considered sub compact as the gx4 is considered micro

It has the footprint of the G2c/G3c. But I agree, looks cooler.
