this is a thing of great beauty 💪 epic skills sir, epic skills 😊👍 is there a way to retain the cd drive and have an sd card at the back of the machine? its still a pretty decent cd player 👌👌
thanks alot Samael, i appreciate that, and actually, theres a way to do exactly what youre saying, its called PSIO, instead of Xstation, i did a video about that too, a while back lol
@@RETROGAMINGARTS nice one! id love to keep my cd drive and have sd card as an option and have a hdmi mod ^^ tho itll probably be a project on the back burner for a bit for me. love your blue tooth ps4 controller mod thats supreme 💪😀
Awesome video! Makes me want to get my clear ps1 out of storage but only have enough room for ps2 or ps1. It's only got a mm3 would I need to remove it for the xstation?
Brian, my man, clear ps1??? Ooh that's dope. I'd remove it since it's no longer needed once you Install xstation.
@@RETROGAMINGARTS yep good old eBay NOS . Oh lol I had a moment I forgot the disk drive is gone... facepalm!
@@brianharrison06 no need for disc drive with xstation so you good!
Great soldering considering you were using what looks like a tire iron.
This is what I thought should be made!
It would be great if u could load cds as well!
wow that's wild
thanks yo, this was months of work and has been through many different phases. but its finally done
@@RETROGAMINGARTS a lot of respect. that console need that love. greetings from argentina, love u mods
@@vagato1893 Argentina? wow!! i'm so happy my videos made it out there, thanks alot man, i appreciate you watching me
I’ve got a ps1 that I’ve installed an xstation and PS1Digital in and I’m looking to do some similar stuff. Any chance the internal brooks adapter video is in the works? Also do you find the ps2 fan does the job?
Ps2 fan does the job well, the internal brooks adapter only worked when I did it internally, and it didn't work when plugged into the cartridge port normally, but other people have not had this issue, Maybe I used an old old version of the brooks adapter, im not sure
@@RETROGAMINGARTS Sweet, I'll get one ordered and give it a go! Thanks for the inspiration!
That is incredible
you're incredible
@@RETROGAMINGARTS
in addition to the first original PlayStation 1, I have two more PlayStation 1 consoles
I own in to the 3 PlayStation 1 consoles. I bought if you know the original PlayStation 2 version not the slim version. It was hard for me at first with PlayStation 2 for a very hard reason it was hard to find the 500 gb hard drive ide version
There are no 500 G _IDE_ drives for the PS2... You want a SATA-to-IDE adapter kit (that you might want to make sure retains the ethernet jack functionality for online and LAN multiplayer PS2 connectivity) in order to install a SATA drive which will afford you that many Gs.
I like the colour scheme but the white buttons alone look a bit off maybe make the ports and side grill white too?
i was wondering that... i shouldof done the controller ports
I am so sorry I missed this. This is too awesome!!!
Thanks alot man, I can always custom make more if you want one
@@RETROGAMINGARTS Absolutely man :) just give me some time to get some funds together since you did say it would cost a "pretty penny" lol. I know the mods are not cheap either.
OUTSTANDING!!!! 😍😍😍
Thanks for checking this out man
@@RETROGAMINGARTS Amazing transformation!
Badass wallpaper my man
Hahaha glad you noticed and liked that, thanks 😀
Insane work dude! I would love it if you post a step by step tutorial for beginners, I have the same version of ps1, bought almost all the parts but I have no experience lmao
Dope🔥 was going to sell my Og copy of coolborders 2 but u convinced me to keep it .
YOO my man samy, hahahahah, dude, coolboarders 2 was so much fun i loved it
@@RETROGAMINGARTS ,
Given that the serial IO jack gets removed in the modifications, has the Wi-Fi system link proven functional yet at providing the same serial I/O linking function except wirelessly for the likes of Cool Boarders 2 on a pair of linked PS1 consoles? FYI: Trick 'N Snowboarder also supported system link, has some Capcom bonus / unlockable characters and, much more obscure, a logo editor that supports a mouse controller - like R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 ( which, more importantly, also system-links).... You can see here that I'm very interested in coverage of the rumored serial I/O system link over the mod.'s Wi-Fi. Appreciate any and all you can respond to. Great modding and is as much a looker as it is a clean install. 👍
@@That_Handle to be honest, I have no idea. I didn't really intend to use the wifi aspect of this unit or the System link, from my understanding the wifi was mainly used for upgrading firmware,, and if system link over wifi is something he intends to add,, thats REALLY cool feature. But I overlooked all of that. Hdmi output was my focus, i don't mind split screen and I really only play fighting games and rpgs. Lol.
Sorry for my lack of information/knowledge, I wish I was able to give you the info you where looking for.
Thank you for watching
You are brilliant man 💜
Thanks
You earned my like great work
Thank you Diego 😀
@@RETROGAMINGARTS bro do you know from where Can I buy the parts, except for 3d printed part I have a resin 3d printer Iam from México
@@diegolunarivera5530 they don't sell the hdmi kit anymore, but you can get the xstation from castlemania games website. Search xstation in Google and castlemania games should pop up quick. I may have linked it in the description also.
And the brooks ps4 controller to ps2 adapter you can find on Amazon if you search that
Great work, so clean man.. amazing custom PS. this is the kind of projects I love.
thanks alot yo, i'm glad you saw this and liked it, it makes me happy and strive to keep making sick stuff and make videos about it lol
btw i use ps2 joysticks in the ps1, i dont know if its me but it seems more responsive, i remember how hard the mgs1 interrogation was, and how easy it is with a ps2 controller.
You use PS2 dualshock 2 thumbstick parts in a PS1 DualShock 1 controller? If so, does that parts substitution work in reverse?
How is the mgs1 interrogation related to the thumbsticks when it's a bunch of button mashing?
@@That_Handle no you dummy... I use a ps2 controller in a ps1... Wth mentioned a thumbstick and when??
1:47 you got it lol
took me 5 trys though, LOL! i hope i conveyed it
7:17 - Is there already a ~memory card slot design remedy in the works or possibly feedback to the creators for consideration or is this something left to the modding community to make work?
There's a new ultimate memory card that just came out, it's on castlemania games website. It's basically endless ps1 storage on a memory card
@@RETROGAMINGARTS , ma bad. I was referring to the SD memory card extension cable plug into the Xstation slot - was curious: about that extension cable problem being mitigated or whether there was feedback to the creator/are improvements coming? Does removing the plug end and soldering direct to board appear to be the only foreseeable future?
@@RETROGAMINGARTS , that ultimate memory card is the end-all! Living in good times. 👍🍻
I never open my ps1 that i bought in 1999, and i see this one and looks georgerus.. U let me thinking..
Thanks alot man
That is sick
thanks man!
