Good advice, and I absolutely agree that playing with other people is what will bring your playing along by leaps and bounds. After a very long layoff from guitar after being very active in my teens and twenties, I'm a year or so back into playing but concentrating on getting my theory and habits in a better place than they were previously. It's only just very reccently that I've started to ponder getting back to playing with others, but I live in a completely different part of the country now (Durham) and have no connections currenty. I'll get it figured out though, although its true to say I have none of that youthful confidence that i used to have. Some of my old band mates from down south are gigging again and loving it.

Thanks for watching Peter, i'm glad you agree! I completely understand your situation, been there myself after a move and feeling out of touch with the local music scene. Making gradual in-roads overtime is the best way, you never know you might strike up a conversation with someone who will then open a whole new network of contacts for you! And it's great you're still working on your playing in the meantime - sounds like you're doing all the right things! 👌🏻 Keep at it bud!
