My nomination for worlds greatest . His techniques , his arranging , the balance of his sound - melody always loud and clear ..... just all WAY above all the other great players . The greatest of the greats .

From a fellow finger picker, never once thought that as although he’s so far beyond where my level of talent will ever ascend to, I can see what he’s doing and it’s brilliant. Young man is a next level virtuoso! I can see why some do question it because it’s SO good it’s difficult to believe someone that young can possess that level of mastery.
What a find! Tremendous talent! His talent is so rare and refined. Is there any limit to his talent? Doubtful. It is a rare joy to see his talent and intensity.
haha when they pan to the audience and there's about 30 oldsters there- with this talent he deserves Carnegie Hall...flawless, innovative, frenzied, passionate...it's all there and like nothing I have seen before...even Alan Holdsworth looks mild in comparison.
Actually, Kent's first international performance outside of his native Japan was Sudbury Ontario (of all places). Whether he's performing solo, or with Don Ross in this case, he's simply amazing.
I can only go by what Kent told us. Perhaps, the Sudbury performance was only a few songs? I will have to confirm with the organizer. Thanks for the update. As you say, regardless he is an amazing talent.
@2buzzed - Sudbury was the first of 11 dates for Kent with Don Ross. I saw the first concert in Sudbury at Knox Hall, and of the 11 dates I believe Don Ross mentioned that two of the dates were solo shows for Kent. As a guitarist myself, I've been following this guy for a long time, and it was a pure stroke of luck that he came to Sudbury. I've traveled far and wide to watch Don Ross ..... I would do exactly the same for Kent Nishimura.
@@MikeBikerKickstand Yes, Don Ross was at this show as well, but didn't play. I was hoping he would but it sure was great just hearing Kent go through his material. The venue for this one was a rather small and intimate art gallery which only holds about 40 people. I think most of the people in attendance were players and we all got to see a bit of a magic show, as I'm sure you did in Sudbury. For 21 years old, Kent is clearly gifted.
what a legend - I was blown away by his earlier video of Hey Nineteen from ?Japan a year ago - ua-cam.com/video/0lPIPCGPNWg/v-deo.html - and now here in Canadia. I like how he gets the massed instruments including trumpet from Chicago into his fingerpicked guitar version ... :-U
@@benjoshd3386 Don't compare apples and pears. Playing fingerstyle guitar and playing the blues as a spontaneous expression of the soul are totally different things. Kent couldn't play things that clapton can. I mean he could but clapton can improvise on the spot what we never saw Kent doing. And clapton couldn't play many fingerstyle pieces the way Kent plays them. He didn't practise those techniques that require incomprehensible much training and effort to be able to play them at the level of Kent. It's like comparing soccer and basketball. There are similarities certainly but there's also much differences.
He is in dire need of a booking and business manager. Playing at inferior venues for wages below lesser talent is sinful. A world class performer playing in a nursing home day room for a group of residents.
I saw him tonight in Peterborough. He was amazing. This song live is not to be missed!
Damn, Chicago played one instrument! Amazing
Absolutely awesome playing
What an unbelievable player. You got to witness a special talent!
I agree. Hopefully, he comes around again.
As always... WOWSERS

No tracking and no tricking. This is Kent.
This is what the Internet was created for! What a great time to be alive!
This guy is amazing! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
to all the people saying his videos are faked with loops...tada!
I’ve seen him at NAMM just chilling in a chair ripping this stuff out. Just him and his guitar. He’s the real deal.
@@wondersoxx japanese rarely fake and they are masters of working on one thing until they are excellent at it. kent is certainly the Real Deal, and he might even get better....
Even if he did it with loops his work is masterful in its entirety
It isn't. Good guitarists know it isn't because it isn't.

He's truly amazing. Everyone at that event should consider themselves lucky for having had the chance to witness his genius live.
The balls to do this arrangement live...
I bet that sounded even more amazing live, the people who had never heard of him beforehand were in for a treeeat
For thousands of fingerstyle guitars players out there, let's, rejoice!
He's pure talent. Watching his videos are addictive and mezmerizing.
Kent's talent is spreading like wildfire. Well deserved. Hope I can see him play live someday.
Terry Kath looking down and smiling....❤❤
Simply mind blowing!...
legend says an AI decided to quit after listening to Kent
of course this is completely crazy! unimaginable
To be this good at his age is incredible. Prodigy
I agree but to be that accomplished at any age is amazing.👍🏻
Thank You for posting this... Kent is Amazing, not to be missed!
Stunning. Speechless. What a talent.

I could listen to you all day Kent! Just amazing!!
Fantastic, what a great talent!!!
Love this kid.
Worth the money! Well done, Kent.
Wow!!! Amazing!!!!
Can’t wait to hear more, simply awesomely talented! Well done Kent 🎶!
Totally nailed it live . Kent is special. Thank you
Chicago eat your heart out. This rendition is fabulous.

So true, but the kid was humble and gracious. I do hope he plays major venues in the near future. Oldsters indeed.😀
Excuse me while I pick my jaw up from the floor!!! Are you KIDDING?! Amazing.
Don't tell Tommy Emmanuel...
Haha...Tommy knows him. He was on one of Tommy's shows. Kent played Lady Madonna.
....my mistake, it was Drive My Car
That guitar need a cigarette after that one. Amazing skills!
in 2 years this will have millions of views
Hope you're right.😀
Wow very cool!
This is why I love You Tube. Off the fucking hook.
Damn that was amazing
I'm certain if Chet were still around, Kent would be certified.
1000%
Without the singlest of a doubt.
Kent is up there with the greatest of all time, and you cannot tell me he isn't the GOAT.
Enjoy it now, only a matter of time before his fingers start infighting and the band breaks up.
Absolutely amazing!
I think Terry and the guys would approve…❤️😎👍😎❤️

Wonderful.
crazy good
Wow! I want a concert with him.
Kent and Matteo Mancuso are the most talented and musical giitarists on the planet!🎶🎶
Nicely done

Just when I thought I was a good guitarist……….😂
Like to see him with Tommy Emanuel. Incredible talent!
There's a video where they play together. I think Kent is playing the song drive my car.
Where is he playing next?
He is back touring Japan.
Kent hit the jackpot with all this blue-hair boomer private show money. Invite me next time!
Multi-tasking on a guitar
Christ, and i thought clapton was good.
Lmao Clapton can't play like that, he's avarage overrated guitarist but he's great writer and composer.
