I am going to be doing my own work on my x5m for easier stuff, but it sounds like the parts were the most expensive thing. I've got aftermarket Brembo brakes, don't know how much those run or even what part to order yet. I think my brakes are OK though. I have the feeling the tires will get quite expensive though. I may want to look at getting the transmission checked, I notice a very slight shift delay going from 1st to 2nd. One expense I had was previous owner apparently stripped 2 lug nuts on the passenger front right wheel. I went to 2 shops and neither could get them off. They referred me to a a place that would drill them out, they quoted me $170 per hour, could give me no estimate of how long it would take. UA-cam to the rescue! For $22 I bought a set of lug nut extractors, you just tap them on carefully to avoid damaging the fancy wheels, then use a breaker bar to free them. It destroys the bolts but with a lot of effort I was able to get the overtightened bolts off. I had to stand on the breaker bar to get one off. I can't believe how stupid these people who work on them are. They have torque specs for a reason. Any way I saved myself anywhere from $170-$1000 by doing it myself and I didn't have to leave in the shop across town most of the day to be gouged.
I recently bought a 2016 x5 M / Silverstone Metalic- Silverstone int. in Aug 2024/ got a 3 year XW on top of the dealers 2 yr /so far 1 oil change😉 L❤VE IT !!
I have a 2016 X5M. Picked it up used on New Years Eve 2019. It has a DINAN Stage 1 tune, 630 HP on the dyno. At 80k miles I had to replace all 4 rotors/pads, used my BMW dealer and total price was $2,400. Also gas to replace the rear air bags. Love the ride, will buy more.
The front brake pads and rotors at fcpeuro are $1300 total with sensors. And the best thing about fcpeuro is there is lifetime warranty on everything they sell. You buy the same brakes when you need to change them next time you remove the old stuff and ship it to them and they refund you the money.
@@xfivemtiwtiw789 that’s their motto check them out. Let’s say you buy oil filter and brakes and you use them. YES USE THEM and when it’s time to change all that you but the same exact products you previously bought YES even the oil and the filter YES. you put them back in the boxes and oil canisters that the new stuff came in you package them back and you ship them back to them and they will refund you the money for the new stuff you got. You can do that unlimited times. Open their website and check them out. Do can change spark plugs and oil every 1000 miles and the only money you will lose it’s the first time you buy them after that yes you have to buy them again but you get the money back when they get their stuff back in few days. They are legit. For the return process I’m sure you have to reach out to them before sending the stuff and follow the steps.
I have a X5 M50i 2020 and it just hit 60k miles. I’m going to be changing the spark plugs and engine air filters and cabin filters and transmission fluid and filter change and DTF fluid change. Just to keep it maintained.

That's why I get my own parts wholesale. Front brake job costed me $1,100 parts and labour.

Texas loves you❤❤❤
Buying OEM is crazy unless you rich or got major hook ups on parts…. Get it from FCP Euro and do the work yourself, that’s what UA-cam is for man.
Ha! I go to paddock imports to! lol
All premium brands comes with premium prices... buy real-estate.
Do you know what I took from this video? You love to hear yourself talk.
