Have a Blessed Day.
thank you so much for this video. I just got this machine and I’ve been trying to find tutorials and only a few have popped up. Yours has helped me the most. Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you for watching this video and your very Welcome 🧵🪡 Happy sewing 😊
Hello and greetings. I have the same machine and have been looking for someone to do a video on model 9420. It is nice to see a video done that I can follow. Would you happen to have any other videos on bobbins and simple maintenance issues for the model. Thanks in advance.
It should say in your manual. Do you have a manual?
@@JacquelineJaroffaith I printed off a copy since my machine was purchased from a thrift store.
@@sirrenasingleton3311 I sit and work on customers sewing machines. I don't own this Sewing machine. I wish I could help you. The best thing to do is read your manual and look at the pictures. Then look at the sewing machine and match the pictures with the sewing machine to see if you are doing it right. I am a sewing machine mechanic. That is the best advice I can give you. Now, if you live in North Carolina. I can help you more in person. I do have a Facebook page and group called Sewing Machine ReCare
Can you use a even feed / walking foot with these machines? I have tried to use a singer one on this same model of machine and cannot get the feet to feed the material through.
Yes, you can. First you have to make sure you have the right one for this Sewing Machine. Some are called a short shank, slanted shank, or long shank. This is the where the foot attaches to the machine.
My bobbin case that came with the machine came out and I don't know how to put it back in. Is there a special way it needs to go so the it's secure? If you could show me a picture of how it's supposed to go that would be great! The PDF manual I downloaded doesn't show it.
Hope this helps...

My Foot will not lift. Lever is loose. Any ideas how to repair?
Yes, their is a screw on the foot bar. Your needs to be tightened.
any idea if there is a way to adjust the needle arm position on this same model? The needle is too far back and hits the hook
Yes, there is a small screw that is holding to the needle post. But first check to see if your timing is off.
Where is this screw. Timing is off, but having trouble setting it because there is no point when where the needle doesn’t hit the hook.
And when you say “needle post” what are you referring to?
You need to loose up a gear that's under. Great to check the gears make sure they are not broken. Here is a video of why it not picking up the thread.

@@JacquelineJaroffaith unfortunately I cannot set the timing because the needle is sitting too far back and is hitting the inner circle of the bobbin casing and will get's snagged by the hook
How do I connect the bobbin thread to the thread on the needle?
Do you have a manual?

Here is your manual please, read. It should tell you how to set it up.
Can you remove the bobbin holder and post a picture of it. Bought mine without one and I have no book or part number to help me.
I wish I could but this sewing machine wasn't mine. I gave back to the customer. But I can look up a link for a new one.

Ty. thats the one I bought already. it just flops around in there
@@veryvintage8966 Is it possible the bracket that holds the bobbin case in place isn't in the correct position? ua-cam.com/video/heAW8iNwXGQ/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/ErrLMxIA01c/v-deo.html
