  • When you go to magical Joshua Tree National Park, there are many designated trails which are truly amazing. But you don’t have to look very far to find little gems to hike at every turn. This is an example of one of them just by a campsite area. We happened to stumble upon it and were delighted with this discovery!

    Sometimes the best hikes are the little ones like this, great way to break up the drive. Thanks for sharing ☮️

      I could not agree more! They are not filled with people too so you can get a little more peace. I do do the popular ones, but look for these opportunities too.

      @kathimeafows7869 I am totally with you! When the spirit moves I’ll do lots of crazy things on a trail. Jump in a creek, sit under a small waterfall among other things.

    The best adventures are the ones you make yourselves! And no less at a beautiful park such as Joshua Tree : ) At every turn there seems to be such incredible and breathtaking rock formations!

    Having watched so many "Josh and Pops" adventures, I expected a head bump when going under the arch of the Joshua tree. Thanks for the reminder of the beauty of that park.

    Joshua Tree is one of the best, if not the best, park for exploration. They could remove all the signs and it wouldn't matter. So many pull-offs and places to check out everywhere.

      @PatrickMchenry-qp8fp I couldn’t agree with you more. Also many times the designated hikes can become quite crowded and these little ones make you feel like you have the park to yourself!

    Cool. I love seeing the the desert landscape. Living in the PNW is beautiful but those cool rock formations are so unique.

    I love to see these California Hikes! You and your son should consider hiking a mountain trail that overlooks the Pacific! Thanks!

    It looks like a beautiful trail, but what about the Rattle Snakes?

    • @popshiking
      @popshiking  5 місяців тому

      We didn’t see any but they are pretty easy to avoid. Just have to watch where you are walking. I live in an area in Southern California where there are many and have never had an issue.
