It turns on / off the power to the rear climate control section. It’s nice so if you don’t have anyone back there you can turn it off and not have to hear the fan without reaching around to turn it off.
The Mazda seems well put together but it kind of pales in comparison to the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride. You really can get it all in the Hyundai for $46-48K like "it all". The engine is probably my only complaint with the vehicles I mention though. Power isn't in the ideal place for those vehicles but with the 8 speed it's all good. The torquey mazda feels motivated when part to mid throttle IMO.
Jay P, yes they are well put together...still Japan built vs other Japanese brands that are assembled outside of Japan! Not sure abt the Koran brands though they have done a lot of good the last several years I still trust the Japan built ones than the Korean brands...
Not sure why Mazda and other car makers insist on having the infotainment screen sticking out on top of the dash like that. IMO it’s ugly and awkward. Would look better if it was integrated into the dash.
Agreed. I HATE the way it looks. It's actually a deal breaker for me. I'm looking for a 2020 3 row SUV come April, and I'm eliminating the CX-9 due to that stupid looking thing.
