One tip I forgot to mention... when using a food processor to make dough, do not use warm water, use cool or even cold water instead. The problem is that a food processor gets quite warm when making dough and using warm water to activate the yeast can actually end up killing it instead as the food processor will cause it to overheat when kneading the dough. Using cold water will prevent this from happening and the dough will more than warm enough to activate the yeast once it is done.
Hi Amy. I have jad my breville sous for around 5 years. I use mine for flour tortilla dough. Once you see how fast and thorough this processor is you never go back.
Thank you! My boyfriend has just ordered me this food processor for my birthday (after a super long consideration and comparison) and I can't wait to try it! Also a big thanks for comparing it to the KitchenAid food processors! They were my second option but I chose Breville instead (it's called Sage where I live) since KtichenAid seemed not to be worth the money.
I can see my Le Creuset dutch oven in the background. Nice video on how to make a simple bread dough with the Breville Souse Chef. Looks like a fun experiment!
I have a ? This bread looks firm, is it. I find most recipes that I've tried the bread just crumble and brakes when I try to spread anything on it. Or do you have a recipe for that? Thanks.
I love your videos Amy, I bought this food processor after watching your videos and it's fantastic...I even used the potato peeler yesterday on apples 😉
Awesome! It would depend how much power your FP has because it might stress it. I would do like 50/50 bread and whole wheat. You also might have to add more water. Please let me know if you try it and how it turns out!
I was waiting for this since I saw on fb you were making a video .I made it right away it was delicious so easy. I used the ninja 9 cup food processor used the chopping blade instead of dough blade worked great thank you I was not disappointed ❤
So easy and sometimes, like today, I would love a quick, easy loaf I can whip up for dinner or whatever without working at it much. Cool recipe, cool demo, thanks you guys! Hey, have you been using the Bear bread kneader and what do you think of it after some time has passed? I'm still looking at it and can't decide if I would really use it or if it would just take up space. Argh.
You just saved me the money I almost spent on a stand mixer - cancelled that order immediately. I already have the Breville Sous Chef. Now I'm wondering if it will beat eggs to a stiff peak?
Have you tried beating the eggs with your food processor? I have a KitchenAid food processor that came with a plastic whisk attachment, but I've never used it. I usually just do it by hand with a whisk. Hope it works out for you.
Colleen, hey lady. Just get you a hand electric mixer and a good mixing bowl. I got me a little sunbeam electric mixer that can detach or uses a stand. It isn't fancy, but i can make anything with it. Only cost $40.
Hi Amy & Eric!!! Your bread really looked super delicious 😋. That sure was a quick way to make that. Too bad I gave my big 13 cup Kitchen Aid away... I ll send this recipe to my Son. Great video. Have a wonderful evening my dear friends!!!
Amy, neither in this video nor on your website do you say at what temperature your oven is set. That is a small but important detail. One other thing is that on your website, you have sugar listed twice in your ingredients list.

Could you make banana bread ?
Should be since it’s 3 times the ??
Could you use a 12 cup Breville food processor for this bread or do you need a 16 cup?
I made this in the 12 cup breville and had no issues.

Ms Amy are you Creole?
No. I am not Creole, but I love to visit down there 😆 ❤ I am a similar mix tho.
@@AmyLearnsToCook food is amazing. Lol ❤️
Dear Amy,
Can I use Gluten Free All purpose flour. Or Gluten Free Bread Flour?
Grandma Patricia
I miss when we were 19 million views big family ❤️
Wow looks so delicious 😋loveit
That's a food processor I would like for soups, water tight bowl
Question, my dough was very densed and almost looked undercooked a bit and my dough didn't rise. What could've happen?
if it didn't rise, i'd think your yeast was old.
cool
Thanks!
I wonder what the bread would be like using your new baguette pan . It looks like a French loaf. Another great video
I am anxious to try it out. Hopefully I can use it this weekend.
Nice! But I wonder if the Cuisinart could handle bread dough? 🤔
LOL! I am not sure.
@@AmyLearnsToCook Well I did order the KA Pro 600 this past Saturday.
@@CShannon1991 I love mine! Got a refurbished and works like a pro! Hence the name, PRO 600!!! LOL! does KA mean kitchenaid???
@@bakingwithme1337 Yup! KA means KITCHENAID!

Now explain all that to use in my mini 3 cup food processor
Yum 🤤
Over 500 dollars for a home food processor is a bit much! LOL
I feel you!
I just got the Cuisinart 14 cup food processor for
$ 135 at Williams Sonoma during Prime week. Try looking for one during Black Friday.
It plays PS5 games tho..
how much sugar and salt?
Amy, neither in this video nor on your website do you say at what temperature your oven is set. That is a small but important detail. One other thing is that on your website, you have sugar listed twice in your ingredients list.
Sorry! I just fixed it. Thanks for letting me know.
Where is the recipe?😮
umm, not bad, but i use my breadmaker throw all in push button and voila, all done in 2 h!
Why American Bread tastes awful- you put sugar in it! Try it without !
That was not 1 cup of water
It is a 1 cup pyrex measuring cup.
