That was the nec plus ultra of gameplay. The number of Pokémon don’t contribute to the qualities of a game. Have you ever played to Colosseum? There wasn’t all the Pokémon, but it was awesome. There’s a button on the right during battles that shows turn order. It makes fighting a lot easy so you don’t just throw out agile and strength moves Edit: you should also be doing the side quests to get some exp an items and more things in town
When you see a space time distortion forming fast travel back to camp and drop off any items that you don't use. Make sure to bring pokeballs, revives, and potions.
I never had the issue of being under leveled, but that’s because I took time to explore and do some side quests. It’s worth doing choc, you get a second base camp for doing one of them!

I am like rank 6th Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ already and I just started the third map xD So I don´t have problems with leveling (My highest leveled Pokémon right now is an Alpha Roserade at level 53 but I prefer to use my Hisuan Decidueye at level 46). And I still think I am balanced because the Wild Pokémon are pretty wildly strong anyways
It's nice watching other people's playthroughs and seeing that the game can actually be difficult, cause I got super distracted and spent hours between story events exploring and catching stuff, so i plowed through the game like 10+levels overleveled.
I made it all the way through Kleavor without fighting him because I thought I had to knock the glow off him first. I threw the last ball got ready to fight something bigger than an alpha and the. Nothing

It's typing and design are likely referencing the Anui God of bears and mountains or that the Ussuri brown bear (which it's design is based off of, and native to Hisui's real world basis) are known to live in hillside burrows

The rock walls that look like you can break them with a later move? It turns out, you can from the beginning. Just throw a pokemon at it, and they'll beat through it in a few hits. It's weirdly anticlimactic.

Press Y in the battle screen to see what's the current turn order for the mons in battle. Helps massively to see how much of a difference your moves can make, as well as how much the styles changes things up. When choosing a move you can also press X to see what's the difference in Base Power and Accuracy between using the move regularly and using it with the styles
I did way too much exploring Lol I was 3 star before fighting the first boss & 6 star before getting Ursaluna My god getting a mount made exploring SO much easier (lol obviously) so I was pretty pissed at myself for not getting them sooner. Was just afraid of missing out on side quests
A bit late but the agile style and strong style use more PP so if you know you can finish something with an agile style just use it normally instead. If you're using the agile style to see the cool poses then go for it.

Not every area They watered down the combat a lot. Its faster now, but a lot less complex. Less thought needed and more speed stat related. Fine for single player, but can never be used for a real and decent pvp scene.

As someone who had both the whole game, Staraptor is kinda terrible this game. No move tutor options worthwhile so will be stuck with flying and Close Combat the whole time. Luxray gets great options though.

This game is well worth the price of admission IMHO. Have not had this much fun playing a pokemon game since I was a wee young lad during the OG silver games and a slightly older wee little lad during the sapphire, ruby, and emerald releases. PLA is not perfect but I prefer it much more to any of the Lets Go games as well as the more recently released BPSD games.

I dont like to tell people they're playing a game wrong, but if you need more stars to progress, then... yeah you're playing wrong. The game is all about catching them all. You can't meet the last boss without it. If you're trying to fill in the dex, you never have to grind for stars (until the 10th which is not needed in any way what so ever)

You still get xp candy when you rematch them 3 medium and if you take no damage while fighting them a large one also

In case it helps for anyone. Those giant boulders at dead ends can be broken by any Pokemon just by being thrown at it like the trees or mineral areas

I dont like to tell people they're playing a game wrong, but if you need more stars to progress, then... yeah you're playing wrong.
The game is all about catching them all.
You can't meet the last boss without it.
If you're trying to fill in the dex, you never have to grind for stars (until the 10th which is not needed in any way what so ever)
Not really. I enjoy doing the main quests then just focusing on catching.
