It took a good 10 listens, but this is just pure magic. As an average Sevendust fan, this really pushed my respect for Lajon to a whole new place. A true masterpiece.
Without question THEE most gorgeous marriage of musical genres I've ever freakin heard in my life. Then you got the nerve to throw Legend Witherspoon in the mix?! Take this damn trophy 🏆I'm leaving 😑
WHOA! How the heck did I miss this?? That's awesome you dig it, dude!! I love your lessons! I've been working a lot on playing against those different upbeats and subdivisions of the metronome in the last year. We have some pretty neat genre collaborations to come, I think you might also enjoy ;) - Ben (The Drummer)
@@EarthsideBand Haha. That’s INSANE, man. Definitely wasn’t expecting this today. Fantastic playing, dude. And what a cool composition. You should be teaching ME some stuff! 🔥 I stumbled onto you guys totally by accident while in the middle of a TesseracT binge. lol If you do the Facebook thing, look me up! 🙂
@@EarthsideBand This was news I was hoping to hear. All We Know and Ever Loved was such a masterpiece, but it seemed like such an involved process over what I'm assuming has been AT LEAST the last two years now, I sort of figured it was just a standalone song. So glad to hear that there's more where that came from. Love your playing, Ben. And I love playing to your playing. Keep up the good work, and all the best to all of you.
This was the most beautiful concoction of orchestra, metal, and interpretive dance I've ever seen in my life. Come to think of it......I'm pretty sure this is the only time I've ever seen anything like this! I love this and I want more!!!!!!!
My 6 year old daughter recently got into ballet and also enjoys my proggy musical influence, needless to say, she's obsessed with this song and video and hopes to be as good as the dancer in the video in the future. Amazing thing to see a young soul appreciate the art behind this piece, both musically and interpretative. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone involved in the video for giving us memories we will look back at with so much love and happiness in the future.
I wonder if she would like baby metal? Can't really see a child getting bad habits from them....cthey have a song about chocolate addiction that's heavier than slipknot lol.
I must say that I never understood this kind of dancing, ballet and such, but after this video... I still don't understand it. On the other hand, this song is AWESOME! Prog with REAL symphonic orchestra, not some digital wizardry, sounds amazing!
Yeah, it was really perfectly well done. I think I've always wanted the genre of symphonic metal to be presented in this particular way, and I didn't know it until I'd watched this video. It's clear that these guys are truly artists who need to be WAY more famous than they are. Honestly people.
Not the first band to do a compilation with an orchestra but one of the finer versions I've seen to date. There is the TSO (Trans Siberian Orchestra), Metallica did a whole album with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and if you look back to bands like the Beetles and others from the sixties, you'll find much more mixing of instruments to create whole effects.
I’ve been a Sevendust fan since their FIRST studio album and they’ve come a LONG WAY in their career and I’ve met Lajon a few times and it’s like he remembers me from ALL the local shows to the bigger venues Sevendust does to House of Blues to Amway arenas to Fields of an Air Force base. And seeing him collaborate with a band from Sweden 🇸🇪 who collaborate with a symphony orchestra group IS OUT OF THIS WORLD 🌎 I love his collaboration and will be seeing him hopefully again soon when this pandemic gets under control 🙌🏼🙏👌🏼
Propably the best piece of music, and the best metal video clip of all time. Most underrated thing i have ever listen to, that clip should be at 100 millions views.
Earthside is way too good for the little amount of public notice they have. And Lajon...I've always struggled with who my favorite singer was between him and a couple others, but this performance sealed it for me. He's #1.
@Derek Charette Did you read the lyrics? It's about someone realizing that they're nothing more than a consumer, a product, and a voter despite their own aspirations. In 2020, that message has never been more true. We're all a bunch of people that are trying their hardest, while most of the world around them doesn't give a shit about them. They just want their money and political support. Also Sevendust is a mediocre band with mostly shitty people in it. Lajon literally being the only exception. Morgan Rose is unstable AF, Vinny is a right wing conspiracy theorist, John is a crazier right wing conspiracy theorist, Clint has a history of mental illness and substance abuse issues. Lajon is the only person that's stayed out of their drama. How they took advantage of Sonny Mayo is reprehensible. They manipulated him to fulfill a need and preyed on him when he was vulnerable and still mourning the loss of his bandmate and friend and then kicked him to the curb and betrayed his trust when they didn't need him anymore so badly that he left rock music altogether. Also this song being "weird and out of place". It was actually written by the guitar player of this band. It was his masters thesis at the Berklee College of Music. And he got an A for it, from one of the most difficult music schools in the world to get a passing grade in, let alone an A.
Not my usual cup of tea, but this is massive, beautiful, quiet, huge, ugly, pretty, disturbing, gentle and violent all rolled into one. Incredibly creative.
The drums are awesome. This is the perfect voice for this song. An awesome prog song and video. Orchestre plus double bass melodies.. and a none metal voice. Great...
A masterpiece! All the aspects are superb... the vocals, the orchestra, the metal instrumental, the visual, the environment... Just magnific guys, thumbs up! Give us more of this!...
This is true entertainment in its purest form. Lajon is nothing but unparalleled talent and the symphony is amazing. The dancing and visual art is brilliant as well!
I don't know of any musical piece that's more breathtaking than this. And this video makes the experience even more amazing, especially with the modern dancing parts.
I come back to this every once in awhile and die a little inside knowing it has been over 5 years since this masterpiece dropped. I hope Earthside is doing well I can't wait to hear what else they have to offer the world.
@earthside have you considered doing a tour but with all the singers musicians , dancers etc on that tour as well, that would be one of the best tours of the year
Absolutely AMAZING!!! Lajon's soaring vocals adds an incredible dimension to the arrangement!! This song definitely takes you on a journey; thank you for this musical experience Earthside, keep on Rocking!! \m/
I haven't stopped listening to this since I stumbled across it on youtube. I'm a huge fan of progressive metal/rock and a huge Sevendust fan so you can understand how I might be having a continuous eargasm! Oh and my favorite progressive metal band is TesseracT and these guys made a track with Dan Tompkins!!! Holy shit these guys' music is exactly what I would make if I were talented enough to do so!!! I mean damn did I create this band in an alternate universe? Perfection!
So Good....As is the Rest of the Album, very impressed. Was never really into progressive metal much over the decades but I have to say these guys are special. I purchased at least 5 songs off iTunes and can't stop listening to it. I found this because I am a HUGE fan of SevenDust and will listen to anything Lajon sings on..So glad I found this Album...Phenomenal.
First time i heard this song/album , not only was i sold instantly, but the riffs and orchestra captures your fukn soul. This is an amazing piece of music. So good!!!!!
Great work! It touches a string in my soul. ...and that is how music should be (for me). I first just listened to the music and liked and bought it. Now, with the additional stage porformance, i love it :)! Move on...
The drumming at the end is beautifully devastating. This song was crafted perfectly from start to finish. Still haven't heard anything quite like it after all these years

Lajon. This is where you've belonged the whole time.
Never thought that I'll see Lajon singing prog lol . He's fucking amazing.
The world needs more of this combo. This needs to be a whole album.

Nathan Stumpf agree except for the dancing. You could barely see any movements between the shots of the band and the orchestra.
Earthside is my neighbors' favorite band, whether they like it or not.
(guys, 7 years have passed. I need a second album)

Check out extremophile elite by between the buried and me, not full on orchestra, but still good
THIS. Now THIS is progressive metal! Everything about this video and song is amazing and awesome. Incredible!

Came from posting the album to watch this...
I mean... no video can do the song justice, but it's still beautiful as hell.

THIS is the type of video that deserves to go viral on youtube. 58000 views is shameful on the part of humanity...

They nailed the choice of vocalists for this album. Seriously. They're all brilliant
Always supporting LJ from 7D.
Earthside always finds a perfect and phenomenal vocalist for their music. Outstanding!
This reminds me of "If Disney made metal" such an amazing song
The drums are awesome. This is the perfect voice for this song. An awesome prog song and video. Orchestre plus double bass melodies.. and a none metal voice. Great...

more like @7:22.
Man, I'd like to see more of you guys working with Lajon, the chemistry is amazing!
Why isn't this more popular? It's one of the best music videos and songs ever crafted.
Love the orchestra...very Moody Blues, with a touch of metal. I like this band.

This is one of the best refrains I heard in a recent while...
This is nothing less than beautiful
Escuche este disco en el 2016 es muy bueno y super recomendable. Para mi uno de loa mejores prog metal de ese año.
This Band is fantastic with the classic band, and with the voice of Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust it sounds amazing!
Oh. Ok. So the craziest music I’ve discovered this year. Good.
The interlude at 6:04 is some of the most genius moments in metal ever.

I hope they make another 25 or more albums!
If they can do that and retain the same quality, then please
The video is breathtaking!!!
Progressive Metal at its best
First time i heard this song/album , not only was i sold instantly, but the riffs and orchestra captures your fukn soul. This is an amazing piece of music. So good!!!!!
my favorite track on this album along with crater.
these guys are amazing.
I like the combination of the orchestra and the harder edge of the band. Great work!
Of all the times I have search for Lajon on UA-cam this just now came up and I am disappointed I hadn’t found this before. It is incredible.
What a gem!
Great work! It touches a string in my soul.
...and that is how music should be (for me).
I first just listened to the music and liked and bought it. Now, with the additional stage porformance, i love it :)!
Move on...
I had goosebumps for 10 minutes straight.
Absolutely phenomenal composition.. amazing visuals as well!
IMO Lajon Witherspoon is the best voice in all rock music and has been for a long time. Him, Corey Taylor and Maynard are the elites.
It was a wise choice every election of singers, each one has a fabulous voice. Lajon, Daniel, Bjorn, Eric.
Amazing album, guys!!
The drumming at the end is beautifully devastating. This song was crafted perfectly from start to finish. Still haven't heard anything quite like it after all these years
I want to go to a concert and see all this live!
Non ho parole... Grazie.

Oh god...I'm speechless. What a song! This is true music!
So moving and original-
this is just so amazing. I really love this song.
I love seeing creative people who are well funded, do something that's awesome!!!
New face of metal? Superb vocals, real emotional song backed by excellent orchestra.
Why haven't I seen this until now. Such a wonderful experience. It really show cases LJ's talent as a singer.
