If you are not locals and can’t speak the local language I would suggest u to take a guide Atleast for convenience sake or else u would have difficulties in getting accommodation and food.
If u don’t want the guide , u could take the contact numbers of the lodges and call up a day ago for booking . The numbers are available all over the net

hi bro i need to ask u some question...is it necessary to have guide in everest base camp trek ...and since u did ABC trek wihtout guide will they allow to trek without guide...

I think it’s better u take a guide to EBC cause he will guide where to acclimatise and when to move , better to be safe than sorry
I too haven’t done EBC , planning this year but from what I hear from people it’s better to take a guide cause it’s a long trek 12-14 days not like ABC which was 3-4 days trek
